iPhone Drop September 2017

Enjoy the latest installment of the iPhone picture drop.

9-7-17. Things are rolling along smoothly for Conley in the cub scout program. He enjoys it. He is earning patches and awards and is right on track.
9-8-17. Anthony and I took the little boys for a lunch date at Ikea. I had never eaten there before. It was yummy and super cheap.
9-8-17.  Family dinner for Tia Mariela's birthday.

We headed back to their house for dessert. I love this picture of Levi and Charlie. He was so excited for the steps she was taking. He loves her.
Singing to Tia.
9-9-17. Honor Choir auditions for Bradley. Nailed it as expected.
9-13-17.  I was so glad Anthony's parents came by right at dinner time. I had a few extra hands and they jumped right in to help. Anthony's mom even brought over some food which is always appreciated. Abuelo loves babies. He's holding Zoey. Kaylee got so sick Labor Day weekend and had to have her appendix removed. Then she got a horrible infection and had to spend a few more days in the hospital. It was no fun! But, we enjoyed having the kids over!
We need Kaylee in tip top shape to do things like this (see video.) We are glad she is better.
9-15-17. When we're driving home from errands or the gym or something the kids will ask to walk home. I drop them off down the street and then try to beat me home.

9-15-17. Anthony and I found a new favorite restaurant. It's called Poke. If you like sushi you'll like Poke. They have bowls, salads or burritos. Delish!
9-16-17. My little artsy kids. Notice the brace on Jamison's wrist. Just documenting that she fell off the couch and had to go to the quick care. It healed up nicely and I think she enjoyed the special attention.
9-22-17. Bradley helped Anthony and I put in new baseboards at Abuela's house. He did such a good job and learned a lot. The boy loves power tools. The living room at Abuela's looks great!
9-24-17. I'm not very good at family history. But, those who can't do teach right? I'm learning as I teach others.
9-25-17. I took the scissors to Cora's hair. She was in need.

 And that was September!

Jamison Presidential Campaign

Jamison ran for President of her school. She ran a great race and I am so proud of her even though she didn't win. She ran against two of her very good friends. She was very kind, gracious and happy for the girl who did win. She learned a lot during the election. One of the other candidates was so mean to Jamison. There were many tears shed privately by that sweet girl. It was heartbreaking for me as the mom.  But, at school she smiled and was so kind to everyone as she talked about her campaign. She never once talked badly about the other nominees.

Jamison will serve as a leadership liaison this year instead of president. I am so pleased that even though she didn't win she is still willing to slide into another role.

Jamison's posters were awesome! She received so many compliments from students, admin and teachers alike. Everyone loved them. The stick figure was everyone's favorite.

We printed out stickers for Jamison to hand out the week of elections. The kids were so eager and excited to wear the stickers.
Here are her posters.

The morning of elections.
Jamison greeted her fans. One thing I noticed about Jamison, which I guess I already knew, is that she is so caring to younger students. She can sometimes get frustrated with kids her age and often gets her feelings hurt. She is learning to toughen up and thicken her skin. I have to remind her that kids are mean because someone is probably being mean to them. It isn't always their fault.  But, Jamison is loved and admired by all of the younger students. She's like a little celebrity. She is so kind and encouraging to them. She knows their names. She helps them and talks to them. I think leadership liaison will be right up her alley as she will work directly with students.

Conley was quite the campaign manager. His whole class voted for Jamison. He was so excited for her to run.
 Handing out stickers.
This cute guy is in our ward at church. He ran for Vice. Sadly he lost as well. I was so excited for the two of them to run together.
Jamison NAILED her speech. She rehearsed it over and over and it was by far the best presidential speech in that room. She didn't make any empty promises or fake her personality. She got the kids excited. Sadly for JJ, the girl who won promised a handful of things she'll never be able to deliver on (vending machines, soft plush toilet paper, toys galore in the student store, etc.) But, 8-11-year-olds don't know that she won't be able to do those things, so the vote was pulled away from my girl. I was sad for her because I'm fairly certain she lost because of that. It's okay though. The experience was wonderful for Jamison, she made a lot of new friends, and the light within her was radiant throughout the whole election. She never talked badly about the other candidates or tried to hurt their feelings. She has a kind heart. This is just the beginning for my sweet girl and the leadership roles she will hold in her life.

Children's Discovery Museum

One of Anthony's friends was hired to do a photo shoot at the Children's Discovery Museum. He needed a bunch of kids to come before the museum opened play around while the camera rolled. It was so much fun. We love the Discovery Museum. As compensation for providing such cute models we get to go back again one more time. We can't wait!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend ended all too quickly! While we did Bradley's eagle project, Tad came into town to do a few lake trips. Conley was able to join the lakers. I don't have any pictures from that, but he sure had a blast!

Sunday we attended church as per usual but were able to have the T's join us in addition to Sam and Kaylee's kids. Kaylee had to have an emergency appendectomy Labor Day weekend. It was awful for her, but it was fun to have her kids here and there for a few days.

Here are a few pictures from Sunday before church.

This girl is mostly all smiles. She doesn't do the drama-queen bit for the most part. But, she wasn't having it today! I don't think she was feeling all that well.
Handsome as per usual.
Jamison, my beautiful number one daughter.
Bradley always looks so sharp on Sundays. He is such a handsome guy.
Ready to go to church. I love this bunch. Sometimes 9 am church is hard. But, mostly I love it.
After church Tracy, Tara and I got dessert ready. Delish.
We made fish tacos for dinner. It was a big undertaking, and I didn't get any pictures of the meal, but it was so good! We breaded and fried the fish, made a delicious creamy sauce and of course a huge bowl of pico. We had a yummy salad and a pot full of homemade mac and cheese. We had about 30 for dinner. Always a blast!
Monday was another boat run. Cora and Tate are the best of cousins.
The boys. They are so cool.
Here are a few little clips from the day. Thanks for taking some pictures/videos Tracy.

Tad cliff jumping.
Bradley taking his turn.
Even Cora did it! Tracy said that Cora gave her the courage to cliff jump herself.
Tracy and Tad doing doubles. These two are so much fun.
Bradley loves wake-boarding. He gets better and better each time.
Handsome cousins. That's a lot of hair! Thanks for a great weekend T's! Labor Day is always more fun when you come in town!
