My friend Debi gave me some lemons. Well she calls them lemons, but they are eat-like-an-orange delicious. She's got some sort of awesome hybrid going on. She also has amazing grapefruit! Thanks for sharing Debi!

Conley was set apart as the 1st counselor in the Deacon's Quorum Presidency today. He is good young man who will hold many callings in the church. This is his first.

March 26, 2021
Well, if my kids are going to deface property and graffiti the walls, at least be super honest about it and leave your name. Makes it easier for the cops to find you. (No, the cops were not really involved.)

Sarah's Quad Crash

The kids, Anthony and I took some friends out to the desert to ride the quads. It was my first time riding. I've ridden the quads on our street but that's it. The kids and Anthony have been many times.

It was my first ride, and my last. During my ride, I hit some brush and flipped over the handlebars. I don't remember a thing from the fall. I remember Anthony and Bradley getting to me, helping me get on the quad with Anthony and driving back to our cars. I asked Anthony some crazy questions like, "When did we get quads?" "Is that our trailer?" "Did I sing in stake conference yet?" Anthony told me it was tonight and I told him that was good because I wasn't ready yet. I didn't end up singing that night. I also asked a lot of questions about my sister Ann and if we met her at the park yet and for someone to call and tell her I wasn't going to be able to make it. I went home with some major pains. I know I was wearing my helmet but it wasn't clipped on all the way and it either fell off during my crash or I ripped it off while I was laying on the ground. I suffered a concussion (complete with nausea, vomiting, confusion, head pain, etc.) and spent about a week hardly able to move. Sitting hurt, laying hurt, sleeping HURT, standing hurt. Shoulder, chest and head pain were my main complaints. The head pain was like a headband so I think I was wearing the helmet and my head his all the foam stuff on the inside pretty good. The next few pics are how I spent the next week or ten days.

I finally forced myself to go in for an x-ray to confirm nothing was broken. Thankfully, nothing was. Lots of pain pills and lots of rest. I am writing this post quite a bit later than this happened so I report I made a full recovery, but it took about 9 months. Wear your helmets kids! And be careful out there! Oh, and no more quad riding for me. I'm happy to watch!

Anthony's Birthday

I made flan for Anthony's birthday cake. It was delish. He didn't want to blow out the candles (corona cancelled.) Then his mom brought him over a yummy Nothing Bundt Cake and again, no blowing out the candles. Silly boy. Happy birthday Anthony. You are so loved.

Back to School

Levi and Jude Back March 1, cohort A. This means they can attend school in person two times a week, all day. They must wear a mask and social distance. No shared supplies, only can ride the bus one time a day, not both to and from. Lunch is in the classroom, no drinking fountains, no specials. It's crazy, weird and a sad way to go back, but we are GOING BACK! I wasn't planning to cry! I failed. It was harder than I expected. Jude and Levi stepped into the schools first, brave and ready. It has been nearly one year.

This will be the end of sharing Jude's homework via phones and computers. He can actually read to his teacher in-person.
March 22, 2021
After a 374 day break, Conley was able to attend school today. It was his first day at the Middle School. It is a happy day. He will attend a cohort that means he can attend in-person two days a week and will be online still the other three days. We'll take it!

On April 6, 2021.
The rest of the kids were able to go back to school today. Again, just two days a week with the other three being online still. The school days are shortened so they don't eat lunch at the school. But, at least it's a start. Bradley started in-person seminary too. Wahoo!!
Jamison's first day back to school. 8th grade.
Jamison, Conley and Kinsey excited to walk to school!
And finally, the last to go back if only by an hour or so, was this beautiful Cora! She is headed to her first in-person day of 5th grade. Go Cora!!!!!!!!! This was also day one for Levi, Jude and Cora to go 5 days a week! For those of you doing the math, for about one hour, twice a week, the house is kid-free. It's just enough time for me to do some laundry, clean up a bit and run maybe one errand. I'll take it.
