.......but this sister has four legs and a tail. Her name is Simi, but I prefer to just call her "imi" or "dawg". She is a lot of fun but I think sometimes she thinks I am her chew toy. She likes to chase me down, make me fall, and then lick and chew on me. Needless to say, I am not too fond of this "playfulness". If I run from her she thinks I am trying to play so I usually freeze and yell (or cry) for Mommy or Daddy or whoever can save me from this little-boy-eating puppy! I really do like her. Mommy begged Daddy for a long time to get us another dog and he finally gave in and he did it in a big way. Simi gets to sleep in the house and the OUR bed. She likes to snuggle and so do I so it works out well. She just better keep her paws off my mimi (pacifier). The first day she came to live with us, she was a little timid and did not even want to come in the house. She hid from me (can't imagine why), but it did not take her long to realize that we were going to be buddies. She does like to chew the rubber tires off my cars and trucks. We have frequent tug-of-war with my cars. I always win because if I don't I start screaming and Mommy comes to save the day. She likes to lick and sort of chew on Sissy's toes. Sissy's response is usually very loud and actually scares Simi off (she scares me off sometimes too :) Anyway, Simi has made herself at home and is here to stay for a long time, we hope. We still miss T-Bone, especially Mommy and Daddy. Simi looks a lot like T-Bone but is a little bigger. She has some of the same mannerisms and sleeps like T-Bone slept. Sometimes when she is snoozing, her legs start moving like she is chasing something.....I figure she is dreaming about chasing me in the yard, catching me, taking me down to the ground and chewing my ear because that is about the order of events. Mommy says that I probably run in my sleep too but I tell her I just have that restless leg syndrome........can't help but stay busy! Mommy says that she used to think having a puppy was like having a baby.........she says that she even told people that! Now, she is embarrassed that she even made that comparison. We are happy that we are finally pet owners again. Enjoy the pics of Simi....there will be more to come!! Oh, and I am also putting some more pics of Sissy and I.
Come out, come out wherever you are!! I think she might have been a little scared of the lawn mower, but hey, around here, a man's work is never done.
Once all my mowing was done, Simi decided that I might be okay..............five minutes after this is when I became her human chew toy!
Simi hanging out on Sissy's play mat..........she needs colorful sensory stimulation too!
In other news, Sissy started eating her cereal from a bowl this week instead of from the bottle. She finally got the hang of it, but it was a messy ordeal. I cannot believe I actually used to eat that stuff......yuck! Of course, I thought I was missing out on something so I kept begging Mommy.."I wanni" "I wanni".....and then "I gotti"! Mommy put a little bit of the cereal mixed with formula in my mouth. All of a sudden, I just start gagging and trying to get it off my tongue but it is just stuck there. I cannot make myself choke it down, so I just sit there gagging and acting like I am about to throw up until Mommy finally quits laughing long enough to get that junk out of my mouth. EEEEKKKK! Another lesson learned the hard way!
Mommy and Daddy already talk about "rules" that Sissy is going to have when she starts to date. I should tell them that with manners like these, they are getting way ahead of themselves. Sissy is going to have to clean up her act before any boy takes her out in public.
Sissy says, "What are lookin' at?"
Okay, so this is the Sissy that the boys are going to like :)
Mommy just loves Sissy's new socks. They are okay, I guess, if you are into pink flowers and rhinestones...........which I am not.
Mommy wanted to get some quick pics of me to send to Daddy. So, when I was decked out for Aunt Dee's birthday dinner I allowed her take a few.
Alrighty, this is the first picture. My instructions from Mommy were "Sit still. Let's take a picture for Daddy."
Apparently, Mommy was not pleased with my facial expression in the first one. So, on the second go round (as there always is when Mommy is taking pictures) my instructions were "Easton, smile and show your teeth." So, me being the compliant child that I am, did exactly what Mommy said, but it was sort of difficult to smile with my hand in my mouth.......I mean I did have to "show my teeth". Sometimes I think Mommy gets me confused with a trick pony! She found this very funny.
Okay, guys, don't get intimidated..........this is me showing my muscles and saying "Doooo" (dude). Milk DOES do a body good! To get this buff, you have to wake up at 7:30 and move constantly until about 9 pm!
Well, this is all the recent stuff that has been going on with Sissy and I. We are so ready for Daddy to get home from the Middle East. We miss him very much. Mommy has been taking me riding in Daddy's truck. Guess what MY Daddy's truck says....."Vroom Vroom"(in my gruff deep voice). I love to say that!!! I try to throw a fit when I have to ride in Mommy's car. Her just says "putt putt" (said in the highest voice I can muster)!! Oh, and I also learned a new animal sound. Did ya know the rooster says "doodle doodle dooooo"? Yep, sure does! Guess I better hit the sack..............Peace out!!
