Hi all! I’m getting ready to put up a grouping of 6 GORGEOUS sets – collectively they’re called Tres Chic Boutiques. I’m just finishing up all the elements for them but released one called Le Petit Cafe….hope you like! Needless to say, lots of change in my life lately – divorce, single motherhood, paper company changes… but I’m dedicating myself to putting whatever extra time I *do* have into digi! Yay!!!!

On the ‘home front’…today is the USC/Notre Dame football game. I’m crossing my fingers that ND might be able to pull off a second win. So excited to see Evan Sharpley start as quarterback….the team really seems to respond to his leadership.  Toodles!! Taran

OK, so maybe ‘on a roll’ is misleading…quite a few of these new products are things I’ve been tinkering around with for a while – but finally got off my behind and uploaded!   I’m really fond of this new font – which was originally called ‘TK What’sHerFace’ because I just couldn’t think of a fitting name for it…and now it’s officially called ‘TK PekingChickenFingers’.  Um….yeah, so that makes more sense eh? LOL!!!!  When I’m designing a font and ‘test driving’ it, I often just type in whatever comes to mind – and for some reason while I was doing this font – CHICKEN kept jumping into my mind. Who knows…maybe I was hungry…for Peking Chicken….um….fingers. Yeah.  Seriously though, it’s a hecka cute font and will be great for journaling. I can’t wait to see layouts of people using it!!

So I’m designing away….oblivious in my own world at my beloved computer…I turn around and see Tinkerbell (5 1/2 months old) – curled up on the couch with a toy under her.  Wait…that’s not a toy – that’s the cat!!!!!  The cat was completely comatose underneath her – ‘playing dead.’   Ragdoll breed cats are AWESOME at being laid back – but there are certainly times when I wish he would just tell the dog to ‘go to hell!’  (pardon the language)

yeah…um….these are a little big after the fact – but I finally had a second to put them together.

I can’t BELIEVE that this weekend is my baby sister’s wedding!!!! It has come upon me like a hurricane…. and I’m freaking out about the last minute details.  Her bachelorette party got pushed to this coming Thursday (yes, the thursday before the wedding) – and I’ve booked a pole dancer from Chicago to come into town and teach all us ‘bachelorettes’ somethin to please our men!! LOL!!!  I’m currently in the middle of making Xrated chocolate pops – in white, milk, and strawberry chocolate!    Yes, I’m totally freaking over my ‘matron of honor’ speech.  I have 1 version ready to go – but I want it to be PERFECT. 

Creatively-speaking – I’ve been trying to get ‘back to basics’ and do some honest-to-goodness gouache watercolors – (LOVE THOSE!).  CHA is next weekend I can’t wait to see all the goodies!!! I did the ‘glee’ ‘christmas magic’ and ‘homespun holidays’ lines.  I can’t WAIT to see these in print…especially the letters to santa papers in the christmas magic line. (Owen and Avery helped me with this paper….and they’re SO excited about it!!!)

Me: *thinking* OMG what kind of advertising is targeting my poor little 5 year old and making him think that alcohol is the cure for aches and pains?
Come to find out…he saw a commercial for BAYER aspirin… *giggle*

Umm…couldn’t even respond to that one except turn OFF the TV.

::Dog Days::
Nope, it isn’t hot here (surprisingly) – but every waking moment seems to be devoted to this dog…so I thought this was an appropriate title.  Don’t get me wrong – she’s worth it in EVERY way…just a lot of work! I snapped this shot the other day…Avery and Owen ADORE the puppy. She’s growing like I’ve been feeding her steroids.   She knows ‘sit’ ‘stay’ ‘high five’ ‘come’ ‘roll over’ ‘lay down’ and we’re working on ‘NO BITE.’  LOL! She has a toilet paper fetish and unrolled 3 rolls just today. I bought her a little kiddie wading pool so she can go for a dip in the backyard and she LOVES it.  Hoping that the pool curbs her craving to swim in her water bowl.

As for me, today is the FIRST day in nearly 2 weeks that I feel remotely human. I wouldn’t wish campylobacter on my worst enemy. nasty nasty stuff. I took the kids to see Shrek 3 today (or as owen says, “Shrek tha fird”)- and they did WELL! I was really nervous taking them both by myself as movies are usually interspersed with at least 5 potty breaks between the 2 kids. Great time though – no meltdowns and no potty breaks till after the movie!
