thank god today is public holiday... don't have to go back to work... really don't feel like going back to work... the stupid tradeshow that is causing me so much misery is finally happening this week and hopefully after this week, i won't have to hear about it every again... but that is end of the week... there is still plenty of things to do tomorrow and wednesday before the event starts on thursday... the previous week was really a hectic one... i really got to thank linette and daphne for their help from monday to thursday in calling the people and also isabel n junwei on friday... i think without their help, i would have died calling people and without getting anything done at all... lets hope the next 2 days we can get everything done so that the event can finally go on on thursday... it also means im working this weekend as well... i wonder whether i have to stay for the teardown on saturday... that is one query im going to put across...
yesterday was our first every league match in the d2d league... not exactly a dream start as we lost 3-5 to a team called redbacks... quite a learning experience for our first game although the scoreline don't really reflect on the way we played... almost all the goals they scored were results of some mistakes... we were actually dominating them in the first half but once they scored the first through a defensive error, they scored again thru another error... really unlucky... the third was my mistake as i stumbled allowing the striker to turn me... we managed to pull one back before they scored another thru a free kick... 1-4 when we went in at half time... i was playing centreback for this game and was really quite lost for a few periods in the game as i wasn't really used to playing in a high line... second half we tried to mount a comeback and we managed to chase to 3-4 before they scored the fifth with another defensive error... i pulled my hamstring early into the second half and had to come off... damn, i learned my lesson of not stretching during half time... think this injury gonna keep me out of this week's game... well, we definitely learned alot from this game and hopefully, we will all continue to grow as a team...
can we have monday as off days every week??? i think that is an excellent idea... haha...

Long time since i last update... really too busy with work nowadays... working late almost everyday coz got big events coming up... in fact, i think im overworked... they were suppose to hire 2 temps but now only got 1 which is me... so in fact im doing 2 persons' work... and one of the most ridiculous things ever, call 1000+ pple all by myself!!! WTF... i didn't know my job scope includes being a telemarketeer... i voiced over this matter and all i received was, this is my job... wtf... that wasn't what it was told to me... argh... fuck it man...
anyway, went genting with some of my sec sch frens last weekend... had a great weekend there... spend our time in the casino most of the time... damn, if i hadn't been so impulsive, i would have won some money as well... well, at least i didn't lose alot so thats good... quite an experience coz it was my first time in a casino... but anyway, the 2 days there was great but coming back sucks as we were stuck in a jam in KL and at the second link as well...
and Montforto is coming to get you people starting from this sunday 5pm onwards when we will play our first league match at canberra secondary... after talking about it and with the thinking that we should give it a shot while we are still young, we decided to join an amateur sunday league@ http://www.d2dsports.com ... Montforto was formed as a result of a merger between our team HPY and sepoys which was darric's brother team... so, sunday represent our first game under this new name... really looking forward to this league... although i know that with such a big squad now, i won't get to play every week, its the experience that counts...
finally its friday tomorrow... but i still have shitload of phonecalls to make... so nothing to be happy about... extend me beyond the 2 months??? i really have to think about it...

today was my first day of work at SPH mediabox... an events branch of sph... and can you believe it, first day only and i worked OT!!! somemore the OT hours not OT pay coz i only start today and not the whole week... crap man... guess there's many more OTs to come in my 2 months contract... but it will most prob be extended to 3 months according to my supervisor but i really have to seriously consider the extension coz of 1 reason, the pay... i being paid peanuts really... can divulge how much coz of my contract but its really meagre... i just took up the job coz it was an events job and maybe i can learn something from it and of coz, im broke... so if the company wants me for that extra 1 month, i will definitely ask for an increment in my pay... if not, its adios... but i learn alot already even though its only my first day... some of my weekends gonna be burnt as well but if i manage to learn some stuffs from those burnt weekends, i would think its worth it...
haven blogged any outing recently so shall input this entry regarding last sat... went to Manhattan Fish Market @ Central for dinner with the usual gang of MIT peeps... shermian, stef, jeremy, shawn, cx, james, leon, shuping, chalk, alvin and myself... went there coz of the discount coupons we got from out last visit there... after dinner was a chilling session at coffee club... its really nice to hear how everyone is doing now... those working and of coz those enjoying themselves serving the nation now... its feels really damn great to have these kind of chilling sessions...
one more day to the weekend!!! now, i sounds like someone who is working... anyway, im going Genting next weekend with some mates from my team... but in the meantime, we got a match to win this sunday!!!
