Lunch
--Sarpino's Pizzas@ Office--
Decided to have a good meal as a colleague is going to be on 4 mths maternity leave. We had pizzas from Sarpino's Pizzeria. Their thin crust pizzas were quite delicious...and the price was reasonable.
Delicious pizzas. My fav is Spicy Chicken, at the left hand corner.
Delicious Calamaris!!

Updates
I've been working for 6 mths and 15 days?
Anyway, that's quite fast, and I felt that I've accomplished little things during these past 6 mths.
Newcomer joining us next week, not sure how things will go.
Also, have to start learning my colleague's job scope bit by bit. (& she has to learn mine)
Looks like May is going to be a busy month~
Btw, I'm so looking forward to my upcoming trip.
3 more mths to go~!!!

Slacker's review:
"Code Blue" returns with 2nd season. Personally, I thought season 2 was more engaging and touching. Saejima's story was filled with sadness & emotions. Her long-time bf finally passed away after lying in bed for so long. Another touching story was b/w Shiraishi & her dad, who survived cancer. As for Aizawa, he finally found out more abt his dad & mum. Also, the story b/w the divorced couple - Tachibana & Mitsui. They still cared for each other even though they have separated. Their story was a little sad as well, as they used to have a child. Thanks to these stories, season 2's plot thickens & I was not left with the impression that season 2 is another std medical drama.
Acting wise, Yamapi was alright. I was rather impressed with him in season 1, but there was not much improvement from him in season 2. Aizawa was less woody, but he's still expressionless and stiff somehow. Ending was a little surprising, as Aizawa did not stayed in E.R. He went to cardiac surgery, but wld assist E.R when needed.
The actresses's performances were way better. Aragaki looked more matured and she handled her scenes well. Toda's acting has improved quite alot, and her story was linked to an investigation case, for allowing a patient to pass away without formal approval from the family. Hiyama had to delay graduation, but I guessed the outcome was good enough.
Higa's performance was great. I was glad that the scriptwriter did focus on Saejima. Higa's emotional scenes were really good, and I cld feel how heartbroken Saejima was after her bf died. There were quite a few scenes where Saejima wld listen to his last voice msg by herself, and finally at the last epi, she deleted the msg. The lady missed her bf so much, but decided it's time to move on.
Shiina Kippei is the new addition to the cast. I liked Tachibana. He's not those rigid & stringent docs. In fact, he's quite playful. It's obivous he still cared for his ex-wife Mitsui, but they did not reconcile.
Theme song is "HANABI" by Mr.Children from season 1.

Singapore Botanic Gardens
I think I had taken over 200 pics in a few hours time. Call me "花痴" ok? Hahaha!
Anyway, I have not been to Botanic Gardens for at least 10 years. The park is just getting bigger & bigger. I only managed to cover 1/3 of the park, but I guessed the main attraction is still the Orchid Garden. I've selected my favourite shots here....enjoy~
Tanglin Gate Entrance.

The Swan Lake Gazebo.

Behind the waterfall.

Ginger flower.
National Orchid Garden. Simply love this place! Ah Ching is a Orchid lover, so I was so excited to see the lovely flowers~

Our National Flower, Vanda Miss Joaqium. Vanda is one of the genus in the Orchid family.

Lots of tourists carved their names on this tree trunk.

Vanda Usha, named after the wife of India's President in 2000.
Ascocenda Iskandar 'Zanariah', named after Her Majesty of Johore in 2007.

Another type of Ginger flower.

Tan Hoon Siang Misthouse. Did not expect to see so many unique Orchids here!

Vanda Pachara Delight.

En route to Cool House.

En route to exit.

A pavilion. E.W had fond memories of this place.
The gardener sculpture for S'pore Garden Festival.
Water Lily.
