It's Been Awhile!
I finally decided it was time to update this thing, considering it has been a whole year! Miss Lainee turned two this month and got to celebrate with two birthday parties! One with the Larsen clan in Blackfoot, and the other in Denver with Grandma and Papa Roberts. We will start with the pics from the Blackfoot party.

This is a minnie mouse balloon that was 2x the size of Lainee! She was in LOVE with it! She would sit right in front of her and stare and say "Hi balloon Minnie"! So cute!

Lainee and her Mickey Mouse cake. She loves blowing out the "birthday candles" on her "birthday cake."
Thank you to all who came and celebrated with Lainee and us, it was so much fun!
We were fortunate to be in Denver this year to celebrate Lainee's birthday (and Grandma Roberts just 2 days later!) and so she got 2 parties!

Lainee loves pumpkins right now, so Grandma Roberts made her this cute pumpkin cake. We had to light the candles 3 times so she could keep blowing them out!

When we asked Lainee what she wanted for breakfast she said "birthday waffles!" so Grandma Roberts made some and Lainee loved them!

Opening presents, 2 new puzzles and a pair of snow boots!
Thanks to everyone for making it such a good birthday!

Tutus
I decided to make a fun tutu for Lainee for Christmas and had so much fun doing it that I decided to see if anyone else might be interested and started selling them!
Sold my first batch the other day for a birthday party! If anyone is interested or know anyone who is, post a comment or give me a call. You can pretty much do any color and they start at $15 for up to 3 colors. You can add sparkly for a couple dollars more. Also, I can ship them for the cost of shipping. I have paypal too!
They are made of at least 40 yards of tulle and have a ribbon wrapped around the top. They are so fun for dress up. Lainee wears one of hers around almost everyday!

The info needed to make them are your email address, the size of the waist in inches or size of clothes the child wears, and the colors you would want!

Now its time to find some fun Christmas crafts to make!!

Happy Birthday Lainee!!
Lainee is ONE!!! We just cannot believe how fast time has gone by. Lainee is such a character and such a sweet little girl! We sure are blessed to have her as part of our family.
We got to have a little birthday party for her. We call her our Lainee-bug, so of course, how could we resist a lady-bug theme! My mom helped make her cake. We had some family and friends over and ate cake and opened presents. Everyone was so wonderful to Lainee and she only got spoiled a little bit!

She had fun eating her cake, very timid at first and just when she was starting to dig in, she flipped it off of her high chair tray and right onto the dog!
The easiest way to clean her up...give her the hose and let her go!

Just a few shots of Lainee enjoying her new toys!

Thanks to everyone for their gifts and their love! Thanks for making Lainee's birthday such a special day! We love you Lainee!

Watch out Denver, Here comes Lainee!
We had the chance to go visit Zac's parents in Denver at the end of September. (Thanks Mark and Julie!) The trip included a lot of firsts for Miss Lainee, but she did so great! It was so fun to see them and be able to spend the weekend with them so Lainee could get to spend some time with them!
Her first "first" was the airplane. I was so nervous, because it was also a first for me to take a little one on the airplane. She loved the airport, lots of people to talk to and see. We made sure we had lots of books and lots of snacks. The snacks seemed to prove most effective!

While we were there we got to play, play, play! Grandpa wore her out!

We got to go to a Rockies game. Lainee made friends, like usual, and had lots of fun!
We also played and had a wonderful picnic and played at a great park. We had so much fun there! We were worried, but Denver survived a visit from Lainee!

Portland
Earlier this month my mom, sister, Lainee, and I went on a road trip to Portland, Oregon. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! Lainee was such a trooper. It was a long car ride and she did so good! We hauled her in and out of her car seat, drug her through malls and shops, and interupted naptime. Even with all of that she was so much fun! By the time we got back to the hotel at night, she would frantically crawl back and forth and up and down the halls to get all of her energy out.
She had a lot of firsts. Her first trip to the beach, her first carousel ride, her first time in the swimming pool. We saw waterfalls that were beautiful. She loved to look over the sides of the railings. We went to the Saturday market, which was so fun. There is so much to see and fun people to meet. There was a fountain play area for the kids and Lainee loved it.
