This time of year we remember the Pioneers and the great sacrifices they made . I am so thankful for my ancestors on both sides who traveled those dusty cold trails with little food, they are truly an inspiration to me. When I go thru challenges in my life I remember them and say, hey you don't have it so bad and so I KEEP ON TRUCKIN' Happy 24th of July to everyone let's be thankful for all we have :)

Well, it has been too long for me to post something so here goes a new post. Yesterday was Darin's birthday he would have been 34. We celebrated by getting some KFC chicken for lunch. (He worked at a KFC) Jeff was happy that the SF giants beat LA in his honor. Jeff had a birthday card for Darin and got out his old baseball mitt and we all hugged each other and remembered happy times with Darin. We love him, miss him and know we will see him again in the Eternities!!

Well I guess since we are in a new year I should do another entry in my blog. We are excited for this new year and have many new goals and dreams. One great thing is we finally got Jeff to take some classes at the local High School. He is taking some computer classes and says he is the youngest one in the class. I am one of the relief Society Teachers at church and this week is my first lesson. I am a bit nervous as I enjoy teaching in the primary better. But I do have chocolate hearts for the class since it will be Valentine's Day. Bruce is doing great on his tredmill and thinking about the landscaping he wants to do when we get spring here. The snow is starting to melt so that is a good sign. Logan is doing great, there are a couple of new dogs in the neighborhood so he loves his daily walks to see his buddies. We still enjoy watching 2 of the grandkids each Tues. and Thurs. they keep us busy and feeling young. Well that is it for now, have a great week and month!!

What is this white STUFF!!
WE had a ward party for Breakfast at 9:00 AM it was yummy and fun. When we went to it we left our house before removing the snow from the night before. About 3 inches, so after the breakfast Bruce and I did some teamwork and got out the snow shovels and about 30 min. later we were done. The rest of the day it snowed some more so I guess before church tomorrow we will be out there shoveling again.... He ordered a snow plow for our ATV but it won't be ready till about Tues. I gave him some grief about buying it but I tell ya after today I think it is a great investment in both of our backs. Wow today I wish I was back in Texas ha ha ha !! But really I do like the white snow for Christmas and it brings back all the memories of when I was a kid in N. Utah and guess what my Dad always had a truck with a snow plow. I guess some people like to shovel snow .....but not me I can't wait to see Bruce on the ATV this week, I will try to get a photo of it anyway Happy Holidays to everyone and Merry Christmas too!!

Grandkids say the cutest things
I was watching Emma(3) and Eliska (almost 5) today and we were just making and eating scrambled eggs and bacon and out of the blue Emma says "Grandma I love you" It just warmed my heart and made my day.

Thankful for Miracles
Hi everyone well today was exciting, we went to Eliska's soccor game, so cute little 4 and 5 yr. olds chasing after a ball. Dan is such a great and patient coach. Then Bruce and I head to Orem to our friends house to see the BYU game and a big Suburban pulling a trailer with an ATV on it looses control, jack knifes and is coming straight for us. Thanks to Bruce's fantastic driving skills and luckily no one close to us we make it to the side of the road and only our front driver side bumper got hit by the suburban. Another car was totalled and we were there to help the family that was in the Suburban (the mom was not wearing her safety belt) The Mom went to the hospital in an ambulance. Anyway we were shaken up a bit but after we filled out all the paperwork, we went to Joanne and Michael's house and saw BYU totally win!! Also we had someone look at our house in TX yesterday and the response is they like it, so we are praying for an offer this week. And tomorrow from the emails it looks like someone is going to see it again. Anyway we are feeling very thankful for all of our blessings right now. And PLEASE everyone always wear your seatbelt OK??!!
