Halloween Day

On the day of Halloween, I had a few friends over for a playdate.  Here are some pictures from it...

That night, we ate dinner and hit the streets for trick-or-treating.  It wasn't very successful last year.  I think we went to three houses and Ave wasn't into it at all.  Now that she is officially obsessed with holidays, costumes, and candy, I figured this year would be a little different!

Ready!

She loved going up to people and saying trick-or-treat.  She may have liked the interaction more than the candy!

Gram Z stopped by for a little while!

1st candy choice- Tootsie Roll Pop

Mouth full of chocolate

Avery enjoyed every bit of Halloween.  I absolutely love that she gets just as enthusiastic about holidays as me.  We are already counting down the days until Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Pumpkin Patch + Pumpkin Carving

On the Saturday before Halloween, we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.

Family pic with the pumpkins

We met up with the Morris and Arrant families to take some pictures and ride the train!

Landon and Ave

Such a big boy this year!

Garrett was rockin' it!  I love everything about this picture, especially the pose!

Sweet Reagan looking fancy in her Halloween outfit

Ave was really intrigued by this goat.  It would stand on the fence to get really close to you.

Yearly sign shot with kids...

...and adults!

Avery was so excited about the train ride.  She loves trains and had a blast riding it.

Landon and Chels

Soaking it all in!

We bought a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch and decided to carve it later on that afternoon.

Avery warmed up by rolling her little pumpkin around and chasing after it.

Ready!

Goofy girl

Ave was not really a fan of the guts.  She would make the most disgusted faces.

Um, you want me to touch that???

Finally, she decided to go for it and dug in.

And out popped a single seed.  She was so proud.  This was the extent of her helping. :)

While I was carving, she proceeded to stick all of the tools in Grace's leg.  Poor Grace.  She puts up with a lot!

The final product!

Fall Festival 2012

The Friday before Halloween, we went to Faithbridge's Fall Festival.  They didn't have it last year, but we went the year before and had a great time.  Avery has really gotten into holidays lately so we knew that this would be a ton of fun for her!

We ran into a really cute construction worker when we first got there.  Ave was fascinated by the picture on his badge!

The first game was a real winner- getting a sucker off of a tree... right up Ave's alley!

Sharing a sweet hug with Garrett when he got there.

Avery loves all crafts but having Grammy working there made it even better!

Steph and Sophia made it out too!  We tried to get a cute cousin pic but it didn't happen.  They were having too much fun to stop.

Although her face doesn't show it, this was one of her favorite rides.

Face painting!

Grandpa was working at the picture taking area.  I had to get a shot of the two of them!

My girl and me

Avery had a blast.  I'm so thankful for Faithbridge for putting on events like this.  We have so many special family memories at them!
