3 Months Old!

Chloe girl is now 3 months old.  Her little personality is coming out more and more and I feel like the fun is beginning!  I have absolutely loved the itty bitty baby days but I am looking forward to this new phase of interacting and discovering new things.

Since Chloe didn't have a checkup this month, I'm not sure how much she weighs.  Last time I checked, she weighed around 13 pounds.
She still is eating great as evidenced by her growing body :).  She eats every 2-3 hours still which ends up being around 5-6 times per day.

Chloe is still in the rock and play.  At the beginning of the month we moved her up to her room.  She slept awesome the first night but the second night started to go downhill.  She was really tired so we thought we could put her down around 8pm although she'd been going to sleep around 9pm each night.  She took a nice little nap and woke up ready to go about an hour later.  She was up a couple more times that night.  The next few nights she was off as well so we abandoned that idea and brought her back to the rock and play in our room.  I honestly would keep her in our room forever because I love her nearby but I know she will eventually need to go upstairs.  We've decided to wait until after the holidays to try again.  My New Year's resolution this year is to get her sleeping in her crib.

By the end of the month, her sleep schedule went like this- Bed around 8:30 pm, wake around 6:30 - 7am to eat, back to sleep until around 9am.  Some nights she will sleep through.  This is exactly why I don't want to move her!  Avery didn't sleep this well until after she was a year old so I hate to mess with it but know I need to eventually!

She's in size 2 diapers and is in 3 month old clothing.  Some of her 3 month old pjs are actually a getting a little snug lengthwise so she may be moving up soon.

This girl loves her baths.  If she's a little fussy at night, a bath is just what she needs to pass the time until bedtime.

Chloe has also started reaching and grabbing toys this past month.  It's fun to see her interact with the toys instead of just staring at them.  She is still not a fan of tummy time but is definitely getting better at it.  She will roll all the way to the side but hasn't starting rolling over quite yet.

She genuinely looked at each of the pictures.  I remember this book being one of Ave's first favorites also!

This picture cracks me up because this is generally what happens in our household.  Ave LOVES being very close to Chloe and Chloe doesn't love it quite so much :)  Don't get me wrong, she adores her sis but just gets a little overwhelmed with the love sometimes!
I think Ave's hips may fit in here better than they did when she was 5 months old!
Chloe girl has also discovered her hands.  We don't see her without her hands in her mouth very often!

She sucks her bottom lip in constantly.  Maybe it's her version of a pacifier?

We tried out our jogging stroller for the first time this month.  I was still a little nervous about Chloe being too small so I put some head support in there that Linds let me borrow.  I died laughing when I saw her in there.  She looks like she is totally loving life, right?  Also, it kills me that Ave looks as old as she does in this picture.

We went over to Bill's aunt and uncle's house last weekend and Chloe got lots of attention.

It's still hard for me to believe that Chloe is already 3 months old.  I say this every month but time is really flying by.  Love you sweet girl!

Avery's Thanksgiving Feast

Avery had a feast at her school the week before her Thanksgiving break.  I'm going a little backwards here meaning I completely forgot about this when I did my Thanksgiving post but wanted to make sure I include the pics I took on my phone.

The 3 year olds sang a song and then they had their feast.  This was the first time I've ever watched Avery do a performance of any kind so I was thrilled to go see it!  I live for this stuff and cannot wait for all plays, recitals, etc. in the future.  It ended up being all of 1 minute long but I loved every second watching her do her thing!

This was one of the best parts of the feast for Ave- a turkey cookie.  It had lots of m&ms on it about 2 minutes before taking this pic.

Thanksgiving 2013

We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.  It has been a great year full of lots of blessings.  We decided to really celebrate it by having not one, not two, but three thanksgiving meals!

We started the morning off by making some green bean casserole and turkey cupcakes.  Avery wanted to help, of course.

I think this is the main reason she likes to bake with me

The finished project.  The middle left was what I had initially wanted to do with each.  It was WAY too detailed for my life right now so we simplified.  Avery loved making these.  I especially love the top right ones.  They are beauties!

Our first stop was Wendy's house for lunch.  Avery always loves playing with Gram Z's toys and gets lots of undivided attention from Aunt Laura and Uncle Karl!

Next, we went to my parents' house for dinner.

Sweet Savannah.  It was so nice having a nursing buddy this Thanksgiving.  I loved having company and honestly, it was kind of nice to get away from the chaos and catch up with Steph.

These girls are getting way too old!

Andrew was loving his life ;)
The following few pictures are what happens when your child wakes up around 6:30am and is on the go all day without a nap...

She actually did a lot better than I had expected.  She was so busy that she didn't notice how tired she was until we were in the car on the way home.

The Bassett Girls

I love this sweet girl!

The newest batch of cousins!

Our last Thanksgiving stop was College Station for lunch on Friday.  I always enjoy going there because it brings back lots of memories of visiting Bill during college and our first year of marriage.  Since Bill's Nana and Papa live there, we have an excuse to make the trip every once in a while.

I didn't take very many pictures because I was holding Chloe most of the time.  Avery is still the only little one (other than Chloe) on Bill's side of the family so she really eats up all the attention she gets from everyone.  She was busy, busy, busy the whole time talking with people and playing.

I'm pretty sure their dog, Daisy, was happy when we left.  Avery really enjoyed playing with her.

They were having a very serious conversation :)

I'm thankful that we have so many family members that care about us and want to see us on Thanksgiving.  I honestly was a little exhausted by the end but I'm glad that we were able to see everyone and we ended up having a great time!
