Sisters!

I absolutely love that my girls have a sister to go through life with.  I am so thankful to have sisters and have become even closer with them as an adult.  I hope and pray that Chloe and Avery continue to love and care for each other as they do today.

Avery is absolutely the best big sister to Chloe that I could have ever asked for.  She tells me all the time that she is so glad that God gave her Chloe.  She's gentle, caring, and considerate when it comes to her little sister.  Chloe equally adores Ave.  Every once in a while, I'll be doing something and turn around to see them hugging.  Avery can't wait for Chloe to be old enough to sleep with her in her room.  I can't even think about the day when they drive each other crazy so I will just dwell on the love that they share today!  So, so sweet these two are!

Swingin'

I mainly blog about holidays or special events but some of the best moments are those random pockets of time that we just are hanging around the house.  On this particular day, it was sunny and not too frigid.  It was the middle of winter, and we most definitely had to take advantage of the decent weather.

The girls wanted to swing, and I decided to capture some of it with my actual camera- not just my phone.

I love these sweet times when we have nothing on the agenda, and the girls can just be little.

NYE 2014

Chloe had a bit of a cough this NYE so we waited until literally a few hours before that night to decide on what to do.  Some friends came over, and we had a fun, low key night.

Avery was thrilled about NYE.  She put on her party outfit and was ready for some fun!
After dinner, we went outside for some sparklers.

The party lasted until a crazy 9pm when everyone went home; however, we switched off watching the kids and even got about 20 minutes of uninterrupted girl time.  That meant success in my book!  2014 was a great year full of lots of fun memories.  We are all looking forward to what 2015 has in store for us!

Merry Christmas...yet again!

Since we weren't able to celebrate with my immediate family on Christmas day, we went to Kelly and Andrew's house for our first family celebration there.  It was super casual- pizza, presents, ice cream, and relaxing.  Just the way I like it!

Chlo girl was struggling with camera flashes.  Pretty sure she's got her eyes closed in every pic.

Poor Bailey never gets any lovin'

The night ended with a lovely Let It Go sing along.  It wouldn't be a family get together without it!  What a fun, relaxing way to end our Christmas festivities!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve finally came!  We went to church followed by Wendy's apartment for dinner and gifts.  The girls had a blast!

We always celebrate Bill's birthday on Christmas Eve since they are so close.
Blowing out the candles

The next morning, Santa had arrived and the girls dug in.

Avery saw this bird at Ace hardware with Bill not too long ago.  She was thrilled to find it in one of her presents that morning!

After naps, we headed to Don and Monica's house.

I specifically remember Avery wearing this same dress sitting in this same chair 3 years ago.  I could cry.

Somehow these two found Monica's concealer which they thought was lipstick and turned themselves into sickly ghosts.  So special!

I have to be 100% honest.  I am three months late doing this post so it is a little tough to remember all of the details.  Life has just gotten in the way of blogging these days!  I remember having a great Christmas- quite possibly the best yet this past year. It was so much fun celebrating the birth of Jesus with our two sweet girls.  Luckily, the Christmas celebrations didn't end on Christmas night!
