For the past year, Ash and I have wanted to take Luke and Avery to see the Baylor campus. We started talking about going last Fall and managed to make it all the way to summer without going. Since Kindergarten was quickly approaching (meaning free Fridays being gone) we decided to go for it!
We've never taken the big kids on a trip before, and it honestly felt like a real vacation. Ash and I reminisced about the old days all the way to Waco while Luke and Ave held their own conversation and watched movies. They are at such a great independent age while still being sweet.
First, we stopped for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Always a Waco staple in my eyes.
Next, we drove by 512 Allen Place, my sophomore apartment. Memories!
Then, we parked and walked around campus.
Ash went to see one of her old buildings while Luke and Ave hung out on the grass. I adore these next pictures. They really are the sweetest friends.

Collins Hall!
So much has changed. This used to be the cafeteria and now it's a study lounge. How sad!
You know you are getting old when there have been several presidents of the university since you attended school.

After seeing the campus, we drove by Chip and Joanna's silos before going to the hotel.
To say the kids were too excited to sleep was an understatement. They must have walked 5 miles over the course of the afternoon, and still had all the energy in the world!
The next morning, we were up bright and early for some continental breakfast followed by more sightseeing.
Here are the places we saw-
1. The suspension bridge
2. The new football stadium
3. The Magnolia Market
I tried to sneak a picture of Chip and Joanna but just got a shirtless man in the side mirror ;)
4. The Discovery Center (kids museum on campus)
5. Common Grounds
We covered a ton of ground over the course of 24 hours, and the kids were major troopers. Avery was asleep about ten minutes into the trip home while Luke powered through!
We had an amazing time and made lots of memories with our almost kindergartners. They are growing up so fast, and I'm so thankful that we had this fun time together!
