Valentines day

Colin is 9 months old!

Nine months marked Colin's 1st bottle and days spent away from Mom and Dad.  We tried everything in our power to get Colin to take a bottle (or just drink milk from any container).  We tried a dropper, a cup, every bottle under the sun to no avail.  We had to travel to Midland and while we were away, he continued to refuse the bottle.  My mom had to feed him either with a cup (very messy), medicine dropper (very time consuming), or in a bowl with cereal. We left Wednesday morning and he finally took 6 oz. from a bottle on Friday at noon.  Stubborn little love!

This month he started-
-scooting on his belly
-saying Mama and Dada to each of us
sleeping poorly- waking at 2am and 6am
-finding his voice- screeching
-getting into things and climbing on furniture
-taking baths in a big bathtub

He is the smooshiest, most precious little guy and even in the midst of his bottle strike, we adored every minute of life with him!

Pics- Jan-Feb 2017

So that I will remember this, I took Chloe and Avery to see Sing at the movie theater.  It was Chloe's first movie and I thought it would be successful.  Boy was I wrong!  We got there a little too early so the snacks and Icee were gone before it even started.  About 45 minutes in, Chloe wanted to leave but Avery wanted to see the rest of the movie.  We all piled out and I spent the remainder of the time outside with Chloe while she screamed, cried, and threw fit after fit.  I let Avery stand in the aisle next to the exit so that she could watch and I could also keep an eye on her.  My blood pressure was SO high.  But we made it through.  Avery finished the movie.  Chloe survived by God's grace. :)  And, I learned that Chloe was not quite ready for the movie theater yet.
