Bask in the Sunshine
I like Sunday as well as Monday.
I love to stay in my little room whole day on Sunday, cleaning, reading, writing. It’s a prefect Sunday for me staying out from the sunshine, hiding behind my white curtain, watching the sunlight playing with the green trees outside my window. It’s my very Zoe’s way of basking in the Sunday’s favor.
‘Bask in the sunshine’ is a new expression I learn today on Sunday, 22 July 2007, birthday of my new dear friend, Season. What’s a wonderful world!
Bask means enjoy warmth and light. As I always say and tell here in my blog, Zoe is actually a pessimistic and somehow sensitive person that I cherish warmth and light a lot in our difficult life!
I am thankful to my great friends and sisters, old friends like kweefong who calls me often from KL, Yuenling sms me from Singapore, … new friends like Wish who lends me an ear on msn, Amandine who eats and shops with me in Paris, …and my greatest sister Sara who assists me in renting out my apartment, taking care of parents, sharing my office story,…
La vie en rose, this is my recent rosy and salutary slogan for life. I bought myself and Yasmin sunflowers on my 070707, looking at the bright side and the lovely persons around.
This summer, I have my parents and sisters came and visited me. Then Arthur from Singapore, he played an important role in my writing career. Without him and his friend Dawn, I might be still a customer service executive at DNC Advertising. Surprisingly, I met Yasmin in Paris, went to cinema with her and watched her movie ‘Muksin’ at MK2 Blibotheque.
When I saw Muksin carefully puts layers of clothes on his bicycle, trying to make a comfortable cushion for Orkid, I am really touched and feel so warm. No matter how tough life is, there’s love. Yasmin said that love is kind. I do agree. With or without lover, love ourself, love our family, love our friends.
Sunday is a resting day for body and heart. Bask in the Sunday’s favor. Regain energy and have a good start on Monday!
