Ballroom Entrance

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Every brides wish to have perfect and unforgettable wedding dinner with all the lovely decorations, including me. Tell me who is not!!! But not many is really afford to get a professional wedding planner or decorator.

Anyway, just to share with these few gorgeous entrance decoration to the ballroom. :=)

I really like this entrance arch. I saw the exactly arch at Bei Zhan Restaurant (without those flower decoration, of course!).
Renaissance Hotel does provide me different tall stands. But i do not remember if the stands have lights on.
Hhmmm...don't get me wrong. I am not doing all the above. A simple wedding arch like the last photo can easily cost me a BOMB! I would rather spend the money to have my cuppies tower. LOL.

The Invitation Card is Ready

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Our card is ready! But i can only collect by next week as i wanted to change the envelope from red color to cream color at very last minute. :=p
We have to get confirmed guest lists out by now.

Bubbles and Smoke Machines

Friday, September 25, 2009

I was thinking to have bubbles when me and dear march in to the ballroom. I love the colorful bubbles effect surround me. I thought of buying my ji muis the bubble guns too. I told my AD photographer about this idea. Immediately he told me he has the bubble and smoke machines!

Me : What? You have the machines????

PG : Yes.

Me : You bought the machines for what?

PG : I bought for my wedding last time, to make my wife happy. Crazy right?

Me : Oh…you are so sweet!!! You wife must be touched by you!

PG : *smiles* I can rent you cheap cheap.

Me : LOL. How cheap? Make sure cheap cheap. If expensive and over my budget, I don’t want. LOL.

PG : Very cheap la.. But I need to ask my mum to test the machines if it is functioning or not first. Let me call my mum now.

After few minutes….

PG : My mum said the machines are OK.

Me : Great!!! How much you wanna rent me then? Hehehe

PG : Cheap la…few hundreds lo…

Me : Few hundreds means how much??? 100, 200, 300, 400?????

PG : Let me check the machines again first and tell you after that.

He got back to me yesterday and told me that he can rent me at RM150 for both machines. Oh, the price is pretty reasonable to me and dear. Wow…now we will have bubbles and smoke when march in to the ballroom. I’m happy!!!! Gan, the photographer suggested me to have bubbles for first march in and smoke for the second march in. :=)

Photos Corner

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

We will be having a corner to display our photos. I was searching up and down for the ideas.

This is a simple way to display the photos, using the cloth clip to clip on the wire. But I am having problem on where to tie up the wire??? >.<

How about this one? This looks great to me! I think it is easier to install compare to the first one. I need 2 square shape clear vases and willow branches. After that, tied up the ribbons from the top of the willow branches and clip the photos with cloth clip at the ribbons. For the different tall flower vases at a side, i do not plan to do this as this is really really costly!!! >.<

I have bought all the raw materials except the ribbons. I will pass everything to my make up artist cum decorator to help me install everything. :=p

Keep Your Wedding Wishes Here!

I always love wedding wishes. I hope that all the guests can note down some wishes in a proper manner to us. After all, i can have my own sweet time to read all the lovely wishes dedicated to both of us. :=) Again, i have been thinking on how to keep the wishes card from the guests.

1. To drop the wishes card in a round clear vase (the round clear vase to place at the reception table)
2. Wishes tree. I love this idea as well. But, the tedious part is the branches and installation. So, i gave up this idea. :=p

3. Birdcage!! I totally fall in love with birdcage idea. It looks so fairy-tale wedding theme. :=p

A cage, that kept and locked all the wedding wishes to us! I feel that this is a more meaningful idea. And...we have bought a birdcage too, and dear had sprayed with white color. :=p

Wedding Favor

What would you expect or love to receive as wedding favor? I have been thinking of this since early this year. As my flower theme is gerbera daisy, i thought of giving each of my guest gerbera daisy. But another side of me thinking it is quite a waste actually. hahaha! How about cute clip on memo holder with our pre-wedding photo? This idea is great, but i think it is quite costly to buy the clip on memo holder for 400 guests! >.<

Some people advise it is a waste to give wedding favors. Ask yourself, what you did with the wedding favor you received? Left it aside or keep into your drawer. So.... i would not spend too much on wedding favor also. hehehe. Therefore, i have requested the hotel management to change fruit cake (for each guest) wrapped in a gift box to GREEN APPLE. Oh yeah, this matches my theme so well.
I love this idea. Green apple stick with thank you note. Green apple part settled. I just need to do the thank you note.

Total Cost for Pre-Wedding Photoshooting

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Both of us are really satisfied with the pre-wedding photos, despite of so many comments we heard. Actually we are prepared for all these comments and critics as we understand that not everyone can accept this style of photography yet. I am not going to say that our photos are perfect, but at least meet our expectation, I would say. Our photographer did communicate with us earlier what style/kind are we looking for and if we can accept his style.

Dear initially was worried if we would not able to choose 30 poses as per the package. But he was so wrong!!! We screened the photos for three to four times and finally we selected 74 photos to be included into the album. Actually there are more that we love, but we have to set a limit as we just added 10 extra pages to our album and Sam said 70+ photos would be nice for 30 pages album. Besides, we also upgraded our album from small size, 8x12 to medium size, 12x15. Small size album is too small to fit in 70+ photos and it is tough to do album design as well. As for photo frame, we added one 24x30 size photo frame for our new house later on. The smaller one (18x24) will be placed at PIL’s house. Let me lay down the additional cost for my package!!!

Initial package : RM1,919
Upgrade to 12x15 size album : RM160
Add 10 extra pages : RM25/page x 10 pages = RM250
Add 44 photos : RM10/photo x 44 photos = RM440
Add 24x30 photo frame : 24x30xRM0.50 = RM360
Total additional : RM1,210
Grand total : RM3,129

Still a fair price and within our budget. :=)

I am not promoting this bridal shop, but what I like about this bridal shop are due to three main reasons:
:Photographer’s skills and styles
:Returned all softcopies (can develop up to 5R and original resolution for those selected to album) at NO extra charge
:Price transparency

Initially I am thinking to make a photobook for my pre-wedding photos. But since we already added 44 photos to the album, I better save the money! :=P Somemore, dear just called up to ADD another 24x30 size photo frame (RM360) yesterday. So, our total cost for pre-wedding photos = RM3,489. >.<”

Invitation Card Details Revised and Confirmed

I selected this design; bronze color from elegant series. :=)

The details have been revised as FIL upgraded the wedding package. Therefore, there will be cocktail served before the dinner starts. The cocktail details have to be included into the card as well. The card expected to be ready in one week time (maybe more than a week due to Hari Raya??).

Pre-Wedding : Outdoor Shoot (Heritage Hotel - Part 3)

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Heritage Hotel, part 3....
None of the above selected in my album. hehehe. Not because i don't like, just because i need to control from spending too much. Last two photos are like paparazzi shoots...LOL.
I like all this. Very special and sexy feeling. LOL.
I quite like this two photos above. But i don't remember if i selected to album. :=p

Do you like this post box shoot? We did not select any to the album, because it takes one page to do a design. So, again, to minimize my cost, i have to opt this out. >.<

Ta..daa....that's all...actually i have a lot more, but it is too many to post because Sam took 240 shoots in total.

Pre-Wedding : Outdoor Shoot (Heritage Hotel - Part 2)

Heritage Hotel, part 2...

I quite like all these photos, the background. I saw the same background at those wedding magazines. LOL.

Dear likes this the most. Asked if i wanna make it to big photo frame. O_o

Once i see this photo, i cannot remember where and how he took this photo. But i can recalled now. He climbed!!
