Snow!
It's snowing! What an appropriate time too! Exams are over! The Christmas "season" is already growing on me. It's Christmas time again.. my seventeenth. Sigh =)
Apparently it never snowed this early in vancouver before, so it looks like vancouver's in for a white white winter!
I just got a flu jab.. okay that was kinda out of the blue. Randomness.
Anyway, I got back some of my exam results today. Man, these teachers are fast. I mean I just finished writing them, give me a break! So far the marks are pretty okay, i pretty much predicted them. Hoping the rest i get back tomorrow will be the same...
2 more weeks... !

That time of the year. Again!
EXAMINATIONS.
Hmm. It doesn't have the haunting effect it used to have on me. Maybe i'm finally getting the hang of it! Haha who am i kidding... *teeheex*
I think it's just because the difference between hardcore studying and just studying is 100% to a 90.
Still gotta study hard though, it's THIS exam the universities are gonna look at. Gotta buff up my transcript!
Speaking about buffing. What is with all this nail-care mumbo jumbo?? Haha.. the only thing i know about nails is clipping it, and painting that transparent glossy alcohol-smelling substance with glitter in it on my nails. Haha yeah mom i painted my nails with your thingy, which was in that pencil holder by the telephone on your desk. I was bored! I'm not gay, Adam.
Just came back from another evening of indoor soccer with the guys. It serves as a breather for me. Playing soccer and basketball.. i dunno. It helps me relax. I can just chill and have fun. You know, chill and relax. Chillax. Yeah.
K, gonna blog next week, when i'm free from these exams, and 2 weeks away from home!!!!! Whoopdedoodle! *clicks heels*

Unusual
Today was quite an unusual day. In math class, i earned a "manual" detention for thursday. It means that on thursday after school, when everyone has gone home, i'll be all alone, going from classroom to classrom, sweeping the floor and picking up candy wrappers and pop cans.
Sad right? Wait till you read how i earned it.
2 weeks ago, i got 6/10 for a math quiz. Very unfortunate. It was the first quiz that i didn't get full marks for this year. Anyway, my math teacher's rule for quizzes is that if you get below 75% (that is 7.5/10 btw), you have to do extra homework. Well, i never got below that see, so i was totaly oblivious to the extra work i was supposed to do. I only found this out last week. Unfortunately for me, it was when my math teacher gave me a "homework" detention for friday last week.
I couldn't make it after school on friday, so i did my remedial work at home over the weekend (in 15 minutes), and handed it in to him today. Guess what, he gave me another detention. And he was all smiles about it.
!!
Bah.. all for 15 minutes of sec 3 Amath work. Oh well, i'm sure it's the Devil trying to put me out, with the exams 2 weeks away. haha it's not working though, cos i'm more determined than ever now to excel.
After math class comes Calculus. I had this huge debate with my calc teacher in front of the class. I was arguing that if a straight line intersects a parabola, it will intersect it twice, with the exceptions of the straight line being vertical. (The straight line is not a tangent, or does not appear "under" the parabola if the parabola is positive.)
Correct right? She did not agree! Why? I don't get how she doesn't get this, when she has a math degree. I'm not challenging her knowledge in math in any way though. But.. sigh.
Then came Biology after the debate class. We were dissecting pigs again. We were cutting up the pigs, and drawing their genitals. So when i drew mine, i had to take my latex gloves off to draw. Then when we had to throw the pigs away, i put my gloves on again, but INSIDE-OUT! Smart... I had to eat my burger with a fork and knife at lunch.
Unusual day...
EVEN A LIFE OF GOODNESS CANNOT SURVIVE THE INFLUENCE OF BAD COMPANY.
1 Corinthians 15:33
“Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for ‘bad company corrupts good
character.’” (NLT)
Every one of us has experienced this at some time during our lives. Whether in
high school, on the job, or in the home…we have surrendered to the weaknesses of
those to whom we are closest. This is a true saying: You become like those you
associate with. You may have heard it said like this, "Birds of a feather flock
together." We must associate with people who are going somewhere in life, those
who are committed to do the Word and who protect their integrity above their
relationships.
We need individuals who are mature enough to help us rise to a new level. We can
never survive the weaknesses of those with whom we closely associate. We will
either compromise our standards in order to maintain our relationship, or they
will rise up to meet the standards of God that we hold on to. We must choose our
relationships wisely, for they will determine our destiny.

The Real Healers
I wanna share something my dear mother shared with me a couple days ago, which really lifted my spirit.
Evangelism. We are called to be conversionists. Witnesses. We witness to people, and tell them all about how God saves. If they do not become a Christian, did we fail?
Do doctors heal? No they don't. They prescribe drugs, and operate on patients, to facilitate the healing process. Who is the healer? God! Doctors do not heal but facilitate, or help speed up the process. What happens when someone dies in spite of surgery and medication? God thought that it was his/her time to go. But what if the doctors administered the wrong drug, you ask. Ah, assume it was the right drug. If it was the wrong drugs, it'll be a different story.
So as evangelists, we sow the seeds. If we are fruitful, and the person becomes a Christian and is added into His Kingdom, praise God! If not, praise God! You have just pushed him one step closer to Jesus!
Now the question is whether you are
bold enough to witness.
what's up doc?
