Olive oil follows the harvest season in Tuscany.
Harvest takes place in the autumn, and once all groves have been harvested and the oil prepared, shipments are typically sent at the beginning of the following year (January–February).
Recipients receive the grove-specific extra virgin olive oil their trees helped produce that harvest.
The handcrafted olive wood nameplate enters production as soon as the gift is purchased.
Because each piece is made by hand from reclaimed Tuscan olive wood, it typically takes two to three weeks to be completed, and occasionally longer.
As soon as it is ready, the recipient is notified. A photograph of the nameplate is then made available in their member area.
The gift includes one year of Root Membership, which begins when the recipient claims their tree.
At the end of that year, they may choose to renew the guardianship of that tree and continue caring for it and receiving its harvest.
If the guardianship is not renewed, the tree is released back to the community and made available for others to care for.
