Girls find reasons to dress up!

To be honest, I am not a very girly girl. I know NOTHING about makeup, my housemate was laughing at me while I tried to put on eyeliner and I exclaimed “Mal, I can’t get it to draw!” She had to do it for me in the end. I don’t even know how to shape my eyebrows, I look at my other housemate and said “how on earth do I know which one to pluck!” But I do love fashion, I am very into clothes, I love to dress up, I wish to have a whole walk in wardrobe, with my clothes, shoes and accessories all organised!

And it didn’t help that I was reading Show Luo’s Weibo (chinese version of twitter) and he took pictures of his closet and I was thinking… “are you serious?! That looks as big as my house!” And his collection of shoes looks like a shoe shop! Dude, seriously how many pairs of shoes do you need?! Maybe Nike sponsors him? Hahaha… Let me share the pictures with you… (click images for a clearer view). The first 3 pictures are pictures of his shoe collection, picture 4 are his accessories and perfumes he uses. Picture 5 are his caps, from the looks of his pictures, most of them are his own brand, stage. Picture 6 is probably part of his actual clothes. Picture 7 are his sunglasses, I guess as a superstar, you need heaps for cover up?

Anyway… this is not a post about Show, I was just fascinated by his closet and wished I had a girl’s version of that! Anyway, last thursday night, it was my housemate’s birthday and a group of us took this opportunity to dress up to a wonderful night out at Southbank’s Piaf Bistro. I personally had a ball of a time, but more importantly was that the birthday girl enjoyed herself. Happy Birthday Kudzai:) It was so nice to see everyone all nicely dressed, the guys were all in shirt and pants and girls were in a variety of outfits. I went for a rock chick look, not sure if I was able to pull it off, but it was a nice change. Because everyone always assumes that I will come in some cutesy dress and go “that’s so Rachel!” Hahaha… Here are some pictures of the night!

I don’t normally put in that much effort to dress up on a daily basis, I wish I could. If you have any ideas, please share with me, I am very limited in this area. I just always end up drooling over magazines, blogshops and drama’s fashions. Hahaha… I need to learn to dress up without spending much money at the same time! 🙂

Quotes that make me go…”awwww…”

Tumblr…. seriously! I found all these quotes and various tumblr blogs…

“to the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world”

“sometimes you just need that one person who will let you talk and ramble, listen to you complain and look like an idiot, but still love you all the same.”

“sometimes when I say “I’m okay”, I want someone to look me in the eyes, hug me tight and say, “I know you are not”

“I’ll be the greatest fan of your life”

“Because of you, half the time I don’t even know I’m smiling”

“I fall for your smile every single time”

“There are people who take the heart out of you, and there are also the people who put it back”

“Good friends are those who care without hesitation, remember without limitation and love even without communication.”

“I am coming to terms with the fact that loving someone requires a leap of faith, and that a soft landing is never guaranteed.”

“Anyone can make you smile or cry, but it takes someone special to make you smile when you already have tears in your eyes.”

“Sitting next to you doing absolutely nothing means absolutey everything to me”

A boyfriend said to his girlfriend “the next girl I will ever love on this earth will be our daughter”

“wouldn’t it be the perfect crime if I stole your heart, and you stole mine?”

“I love you – takes three seconds to say, three hours to explain it, and a lifetime to prove it”

Thank you Eveee, Melmel, Cynthia, Naomie, Caitlyn for being some of these people in my life:)

5 reasons why I shouldn’t be upset…

After reading Show Luo’s english forum yesterday, they have finally announced that everyone who is going for the concert can go for his autograph session and I was super duper sad because his autograph session is on Thursday afternoon and I am only flying in on Friday for his actual concert. In order to comfort myself… I decided to list reasons why I shouldn’t be upset or rather shouldn’t go for his autograph session:)

  1. I have to change my flight and book an additional night of accommodation, which will incur more cost.
  2. I will miss my housemate’s birthday celebration
  3. I have a history of embarrassing myself at autograph sessions
  4. I am going queue for hours to see him for 10 secs up-close, is that worth it? Ok… that’s argument worthy! To his fans like me, it will probably be worth it.
  5. He is not going to remember me or know me any better if I go for his autograph session, unless I do something dramatic again. Which I repeat, I do not want to make room for me to embarrass myself…

To my dear Xiao Zhu, as much as I adore you because of your looks, charisma, funniness, dance, acting, and your love for your fans, there should be a line drawn. I really respect you for all your hard work you put in, you are truly one amazing guy. As much my friends and I always joke about how you are my “lao gong”, you still do not meet any of my non-negotiable criteria, hahahaha…. I still pray that one day you get to know Jesus Christ too, with your popularity and charisma, many will come to know Christ through your testimony:)

Daydreaming about my future home…

Looking at all these pictures… they are not really that practical. Hahaha… but they look nice, and unless I marry a really rich husband, that’s not really the house I would really want to live in, just the thought of having to clean it just makes it sad. Then again, if I could afford to live in this house, I wouldn’t be cleaning it myself. Hahaha…

How cool is this, I can wake up and jump straight into the pool without being worried or being on the look out for neighbours watching you swim. I find it so scary and quite creepy. Whether it is rain or shine, I can still go swimming! I can even blast some music while swimming.

This first kitchen is awesome, it is so big and spacious, I can bake and cook for tons of people. Ok I was once torn between a cute vintage looking kitchen and a modern one. I like the idea of a nice wooden kitchen with a tint of vintage look (like the second picture), but I can’t resist the modern equipments and layout. Can you spot the yellow kitchen aid mixer! The oven is on the right level, not too low that I have to bend to put things in, and not too high that I might drop things on me taking it out. The fridge is built in which save cleaning behind fridges, I don’t know why that space is always so dirty. The only thing I don’t like about this kitchen is that it looks so industrial and metallic, I still prefer my kitchen to look more homely!

And this makes the perfect master bed room! It’s bright, I prefer my house having a bright feeling! I like it that my bed is on a platform and that it has no bedframe = no edges for morning accidents. I like how it has a separate sofa corner, so if there are husband and wife arguments, the husband knows where he is sleeping for the night! Hahaha… all it needs, is a tv in front of my bed? Ok, that might be a bad idea…

Now, how fun would this be for the kids to have a side slide next to the stairs. Then again, I can foresee a lot of accidents happening as well. So i guess it is not very practical. Unless all the kids are much older. Hmm… worth a thought!

A big living room for a big family! Now all it needs is a huge plasma tv screen on top on the fire place and a sound system, it will be perfect for family time. There’s so much space for the kids to run around without getting hurt too.

Perfect for family chill outs at night in a cool weather with a glass of wine. Hahaha… with the kids cuddling up on the couch reading their bedtime story. I hope those lights on the floor are not candles…

Anyway… these are all not very realistic dreams. So I am still happy living in an apartment… but my kitchen still has to be somewhat spacious. Hahaha…
