Launched: 1898
Length: 420 ft / 128 m

Draft: 28.7 ft / 8.74 m

1898 Launched for the Elderslie S.S.Co., Glasglow. Served as a supply ship during the Boer War, voyaging between Australia and South Africa.
1910 Owned by the Scottish Shire Line Ltd., then Blue Star Line.
1917 Missed by U-boat torpedo.
1929 Sold to G & S Rizzuto, Italy, renamed Fortunestar.
1942 Taken over by Swiss Nautilus S.A. and renamed Lugano for use as a Red Cross safe conduct ship for taking food to the Swiss people.
1948 Reverted to Messina; South American service.
1952 Arrived at Savona for demolition.
