cerebration

it was just a scene of huiying and yongen outside the jamming studio at boon’s. ye –who was still in yishun town sec uniform (correct me if im wrong), with sweat all over–was busy fiddling with the keys and tool options on the macbook for tomorrow’s lyrics. and the undergraduate student yuehhuiying, standing beside patiently, observing and thinking.

it was really normal, really. just one of the many music practices that were happening throughout the year in preparation for service.

seemingly normal. or is it really that, normal to have uni students forking out their free time on a friday evening to to spend them with other younger teens, not having very much to offer but trying their best to invest in the young lives–to grow, to nurture, to guide–to have God use them to create a life transformation. tho’ it aint much, just one life. slowly, but surely, 1 life at a time, will we go on in this world transformation.

then there was jerel, who was really patient, just like one of those benevolent grandfathers, praising God and guiding yd at the same time with the bass. a place with flaws and imperfections, yes, but with much love and acceptance, encouragement  and guidiance..

it was that moment when it hit me once again about the beauty of the church.

yes the church is still far from perfect, and i still have a long way to go.. but when the fullest potential of the Church is benig played out.. oh, the beauty that so captivates. that so reminds me why i am still here, why Christ died for us.

this can be rather simplistic and superficial, as some people outside somewhere might too, be doing the same for causes unrelated to the will of Christ. but hey, i’d rather start off with being idealistic than to be a wet blanket.

so dear God, please renew and deepen this conviction of mine. as I learn more about You, I really do realise how much more vile and evil I can be. still have many imperfections, that’s why I need your word and your grace.. your word to beat me to shape and keep my life on track. (proverbs 4:13) your grace to encourage me and give me hope, the grace that stems from your love, that I may continue persevering, developing character and hope (romans 5:3-6).

haha. had a splendid time celebrating hsiao en’s birthday at Casual Poet.

i really, really do like the place alot. haha. hopefully the others have too.

to celebrate her birthday, on top of the typcial presents/cards/happybirthday song deal, we wrote her a song. okay more like, prirating a song. the melody is that of Jason Mraz’s lucky. (due to some of its contents, it will not be posted. hahaha. and probably never will.) haha really hope she liked it! happy birthday ens!

brother’s back from sweden/switzerland. got mixed up. will be a good time of catching up with him! do hope he havent been putting on alot of weight.. haha. he still has to pass his ippt eh.

O I just bought a $180. 2nd hand. 4gb card. w00ts. not very wise but… ah heck. lol. i’ll think about it again another time.
