The best part was that just minutes after we rescued the kids from having to sit on Santa’s lap, Audrey was saying, “I got to see Santa!” as if it was one of the greatest experiences of her life.

Personality altering surgery

One week ago today, Elise got ear tubes. Here she is in her “hospital gown”…
She had some hearing loss when we took her into the ENT, so he recommended having the ear tube surgery because he believed that the hearing loss was probably due to the fluid left in her ears after having several ear infections.
She has been a different child over the last week! She has been so happy and is giggling WAY more than normal! She has also gone from only saying “up” to a vocabulary including “pup-pup” for puppy, “bye-bye”, “Mama”, and “hi”. I think it’s safe to say that she’s hearing better now, and we are so thankful for her new happy attitude!

Today I accidentally bumped into Audrey, and said, “Oh, I’m sorry Audrey” to which she replied, “That’s okay, I forget you”.
I’m pretty sure she meant “forgive”, but maybe it’s time for a vocabulary lesson.
