Hello! I don't remember how I registered here, but I am not able to change my profile settings, because my username contains dot (
.) symbol. So, I get this error inside profile settings:form.Name can only contain alphanumeric chars ("0-9","a-z","A-Z"), dash ("-") and underscore ("_"). It cannot begin or end with non-alphanumeric chars, and consecutive non-alphanumeric chars are also forbidden. How to troubleshoot this issue? I think changing my username isn't the best idea.
We've made the change a while ago to disallow dots in usernames as this broke features for users who had such username.
And what should I do? My codeberg account is used as OpenID. Will username change cause more issues?
You could change your username, a redirect will be made from
george.bartolomeyto point to your new username. OpenID shouldn't matter, as it should be tied to your account ID.Thank you! I'm going to try now.
It seems you've migrated, did you face any issues so far?
