When they couldn’t find a recycling option for gel ice packs, our team in Brazil designed their own machine, now saving 60 tons of waste per year. 💪 💡 Gel ice packs are essential for transporting diagnostic reagents at the right temperature. With no recycling option in the area, a multidisciplinary team at our Joinville, Brazil site created a machine that breaks down gel ice packs into recyclable plastics and wastewater. 🔄 Today, 100% of the site’s gel ice packs are processed with the machine and all components get recycled.
