Beach huts at the ready..

Happy Weekend Bloggers,, Well I thought I would start the day off with my card for some Summer challenges with these super beach huts . Then I got up and saw the day and thought to myself, it not a good beach day at all, the huts might be very useful to keep warm in though....lol You may know that I live at the seaside, its approx 10mins walk from my house to the beach, not that I spend a lot of time on it apart from walking along it to the next cove...not a great lover of sand in my toes...lol Thats an age thing i guess, as a kid I would have loved it.  Well this is what I came up with for the challenge, the Candy stripe paper reminded me of Deckchairs and candy floss. The image is one that I won from Delicious Doodles and I love it. I am quite short of this type of image so it was quite refreshing to colour something so different.
I hope to get back to crafting later today but first I need to slip to town and get last minute things for our family wedding on Monday. I have decided a new bag is needed and I just haven't been able to find what I want. Its very late to get one now, but I will have yet another look  otherwise its one I have tucked away. Hubby is at my sisters today with Grandson doing a little job for her so I will hopefully get to play as soon as I get back...yippee!
Catch you all later, be good and have a good day whatever you are up to.

My favourite colour..at the moment!

Here I am again, aren't I clever!!! two cards posted within a few hours. this is one I made on Saturday for The Sugar Bowl Challenge...Kiki's sketch I love this little image "Melissa" but then again what Sugar Nellie don't I like...lol

I loved making this easel as it was a lovely sketch to follow and I just followed it as it was, instead of twisting it around or altering in any way. I decided on my favourite colour too.
I coloured a large daisy with my promarkers to match the daisy in her hand and mounted the image on 3D pads.

Well off to craft with Amanda for an hour before she goes home, then i will blog hop. xx

Fun and Games

Happy Monday everyone,

Well not a very inspiring day I am afraid, Been to do our usual monday shopping...boring! stayed in town for my hairdressers app. so its cut ready for my Nephews wedding next monday. I wanted a week for it to lose that new cut look. What a boring day eh! I hate Mondays..lol

I would much rather do nothing but craft if the truth was known, Who on earth wants to do mundane jobs when they could be crafting...that reminds me I have Ironing to do...yuk!! Before I dash off to do tea, I want to post my card for

LOTV Challenge...Fun & Games I thought Teddys picnic would be perfect for this. These little Teds certainly look as though they are having fun, and they certainly make me smile.

I do have another card to post, so hopefully I will get that done later tonight.

well I will go and sort some tea as Amanda is here and my grandson Chris, so it looks like I will have to come up with something better than jam and bread...lol Catch everyone later and will try and do some bloghopping as this weekend has just passed me by....sorry! I will call by tonight to comment on as many as I can fit in xx

My first Kenny K

Well after a superb bloghop, this is the card I made for the Kenny K krafty Girlz challenge. It turned out quite C&S but I think as its going to be for my Grandaughter Birthday..not till September, (so could change my mind by then)...lol I thought she would like this card, being a trendy image she will be 16 she is our youngest Grandchild and only grandaughter. They seem to be intent upon making me feel old...lol The eldest is 24 in sept. :0 but we are so proud of them all.
I have only got this one stamp as I won it in Crafty C's (Claire) blog candy and I have been itching to ink it up. I am certainly going to have plenty more though as I love them.xx

well off to do some retail therapy so will catch up later, Have a Fab day whatever you are doing and stay safe. xx Hugs coming your way xx

Evening All

Oh! that reminds me of how old I am...lol Does anyone remember "Dixon of Dock Green" sadly I do and I can't believe it was that long ago!...lol I loved it but thats enough of how old I am, thank you very much.
Well what a mixture of weather eh! it has been sunny, showers and so humid at one point.. what on earth is it doing for july :0Now to my card, I have been out most of today so never had chance to post, but here is the card I made the other night.I was quite pleased with it, but isn't it difficult to add embellies to boys cards! I hadn't a clue what to put on it. I don't know why they can't have pink flowers and pretty ribbons... tut tut!
Anyway not a lot to report tonight so I am going to post this, I have just started to get some images for boys, so I hope i can join different challenges, and then I want to make a card for Kenny K challenge. I have wanted to ink my one and only KK image up since winning it in CraftyC (Claire) Fabulous candy draw. I really would like some more of KK stamps, but need to count the pennies as my holiday in september is creeping ever closer. I won't even have enough saved for a Cream Tea the way I am spending lately...lol Catch up later with some commenting and to pinch a bit of inspiration on the way :o I need it lately, I feel my mojo is very hit and miss. I want to make something totally amazing! then I remember its ME I am talking about....lolol but isn't there some fabulous creations out there, they just amaze me.
Oh well! back to earth, here is my best effort........Sugar Nellies "Thomas"Isn't he sweet, he reminds me of one of my grandsons, he was train mad and had his grandad...(& often me) stood for hours watching the trains go by at the end of our road. The driver thought Den was Barmy as he was still there having to wave again on the train's return journey an hour later, and this was even in the winter, oh yes we didn't get away with it just because it was freezing....lol
What grandads will do to please xx

Have a good night xx Mau

Hello Everyone

Hello everyone.
what a lovely day its been, I do hope you have had Gorgeous Sunshine too, Hubby has spent the whole day outside, well apart from meal times. Think its about to change tomorrow so it might have to be a craft day...what a shame! :)
Yesterday I had a trip to the Range, and Dunelm Mills with Amanda and my sister, We had our craft fix so now feel more able to play in comfort. We are really not much good till we have had our nosey about the crafty shops :)) Yesterday actually got off to a very sad start when I heard that  the Lovely LizG from Our DC forum had passed away suddenly, You will be sadly missed Liz. Our thoughts go to your Hubby and family at this time xx
Now to my card today, I'm not too sure about it really as I struggled to add embellishments to an already very patterned paper, Hope this worked ok. I also used some of the things that I class as favourites..Doily, Ribbon,  and My all time favourite Nestie.

Showcased...WOW!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone, Well what a shock and a Total surprise this was! I still can hardly believe it...ME on Sugar Nellie's Showcase. I was totally stunned when Elaine mailed me and asked if she could showcase my work. Of course I really had to think hard about it, It took ages for me to say yes, well the two seconds seemed like ages to me anyway. I decided that as a reward to myself I should purchase a few more Sugar Nellie Images, a girl needs to celebrate doesn't she! I decided that if I bought some more Digi's then I would have them in time to use straight away, so three more went into the basket and This is One of them. She is called "Dreamcatcher" and she is gorgeous. I wish I'd had more time to have another go at colouring her as I think i could have done a better job, but its been manic in the Baines house this week so time didn't allow. I just Adore Sugar Nellie and at the present can't get enough of them. I have to admit that "The Adorables" are my absolute favourites, but then I look at all the others and think I would just love them all...every single one.....lol
I coloured the Image with Promarkers and used a little touch of prisma pencils here and there. The sunbeams were cut from the sparkly edge of the DP, I added a little Stickles to her wings and the leaves to add a little more Bling...lol

I added a sheer tule ribbon bow in a lovely soft green, photo doesn't show the colour well at all, added a rose which I sprayed with Perfect Pearls to give it a sparkle. Thats about all for this one, hope you stay awhile and have a peek at what else I have made whilst "Wasting Paper" as my SIL calls our hobby...lol Lovingly of cours, he knows better than to say it for real :0

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me, I would love you to follow my blog or call again when you can.A special Thank you Elaine for showcasing my work, I am so chuffed that you thought it worthy. I will be back Blog Hopping later today. We are going down to Saltburn a little cove a few miles down the coast. It is what is called Victorian week and there is lots of things happening, so will go and have a peek. Bye for now xx

My little Belle..

Happy Saturday Everyone, hope you all have a great weekend, We are off to our Daughter Amanda's BQ later today, oh! I do hope it stays dry otherwise we will be in the house :( and a barbie isn't quite the same indoors is it...lol We are celebrating Amanda and her son's birthdays, Our Grandson Christopher was 19 on thursday and Amanda was 46....oops!!!! sorry Amanda on Friday. We went out for a shopping day with her and of course had to drop into Hobbycraft for our fix...lol Poor Den just waits patiently and smiles as we flit past him, but he is so usefull when it comes to paying :)) We stopped for a bite to eat at lunchtime and finished with a Gorgeous Vanilla slice, I do love them but my poor hips don't! although it is a long time since I had one.... and it was Amanda's Birthday :) no one else was buying them, they looked so lonely sat in the case
Well now to my Card which I made for her Birthday and I have to say I actually loved the colour and the clean fresh look. I can hardly believe I was happy with it, and such a basic simple layout.I have just bought this Sugar Nellie Digi along with a few more, she is called "Belle" and I think she is adorable to colour.Another great image to add to my fast growing Sugar Nellies xx

Handmade flower for Grace

Hi Everyone, hope you are enjoying the same beautiful weather that we are on the north East Coast, what a Glorious day its been. We have been to a local VW show as we have a Campervan and as we are trying to sell it we thought it was a good place to show it. We didn't manage to sell it sadly, but had lots of interest so we may get someone contact us later.
Well now to my card, I made this last night and I think I am quite pleased with it...that makes a change, lol Why is it we are never completely happy with our cards!! I set off thinking I am going to make the best card I have ever made, and I end up 65% happy..or far less in most cases.Once I have looked at all your fab blogs that percentage comes down to 20% happy..lol Do you all feel like this or is just me :( Well here it is anyway and I am entering it into the following challenges.
