| Introduction | I have a wonderful husband who retired with me eight years ago; three daughters, my son passed away in 2011; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. I love laughter and smiley eyes; genuineness. I enjoy people, and being alone. I love our home on a hilltop. New adventures, unexpected! |
| Interests | Reading historical fiction; receiving voice mails from a little girl who sometimes begins, "Hello Grandma, can you come for a sleepover?"; visiting our children in Wisconsin, Texas and Oklahoma, all within a day's drive from us; machine quilting--my favorites? star scrap quilts! and Judy Martin books; Bible study on Tuesday and on Thursday mornings with friends--iron sharpens iron!; the sounds of trains near us, horse and buggies and those who occupy them. |
| Favorite movies | Oldies. Will have to think on that. I don't like to wade through garbage to get to a good storyline. Doesn't add to it even if the makers think it draws people. |
| Favorite music | Definitely Clare de Lune. My father played that on the piano when I was a little girl. I have always loved it. |
| Favorite books | The Bible, a favorite of mine is the book of Isaiah; Psalm 119:111, Psalm 139. All of Leisha Kelly's! The last one is The House on Malcolm Street, as Leisha has passed away. I enjoy any copies of Better Homes & Gardens' American Patchwork & Quilting magazines. Happy reading! |
