November 14th – 16th: A Whistler yoga retreat in-studio that goes beyond the asana (postures)

Join Emily for a weekend of yoga, philosophy, and nourishment designed for serious students who crave inspiration from the deeper roots of yoga. Grounded in traditional Hatha Yoga and supported by the quiet power of restorative practice, this retreat is a chance to immerse yourself in the philosophy, history, and context of yoga, leaving your mind, body, and spirit rested and refilled.

This retreat is accessible yet profound—perfect for practitioners who crave more than just the physical practice and want to engage more with yoga’s rich traditions.

✨ Retreat Schedule

Friday Evening (6:30–8:30pm)
• Explore the Yoga Sutras through discussion and reflection
• Mantra, pranayama, and meditation practice
• Restorative yoga with nurturing hands-on assists
• Insights into yoga’s history and translations

Saturday Morning (9–10:30am | Forest Walk – Rain, Snow, or Shine)
• Gentle walking meditation in nature
• Teachings from the Sutras and the Eight Limbs of Yoga

• Learning about 5 key bandhas

Saturday Afternoon (1:30–3pm)
• Philosophy that transitions into a traditional Hatha Yoga practice
• Breathing, mantra, and meditation interwoven with movement
• Expansion on the Eight Limbs of Yoga

Sunday (12–4pm)
• Study and reflection on the Yamas and Niyamas (ethical foundations of yoga)
• Gentle Hatha Yoga and deeply restorative practice
• Space to integrate and ground the weekend’s teachings

About Your Teacher
Emily Kane is a seasoned yoga teacher, BKin, and author of The Energy and Art of Restorative Yoga. With over 20 years of personal practice and more than 13 years of teaching experience, she weaves together kinesiology, yoga, Reiki, and Thai Medicine to create a transformative approach to healing and movement. After advanced studies in India, her perspective on traditional hatha yoga works to honour its deep roots that go beyond the asana (postures). Her teaching guides students worldwide in reconnecting with their bodies through yoga, energy practices, and mindful awareness.
