Rethinking Life

A Sign of the times…

the end of what
I’m not sure about that part
I want to believe it’s the end of all the isms
violence, hatred and well, you know,
all the stuff that past generations have been living though
even if those thing didn’t touch everyone personally
the insanity that is playing out today
seems to me like a terrible disease
being ejected from the world
all the ugliness and sickness being spewed out at once
eventually leaving behind a new and clear fresh start
I could be wrong, of course, no one truly knows what’s happening
but that makes sense to me
we have been warned for years that this was coming
Orwell told us, others told us as well
and here we are
headed to “It will never happen here,” land, where it is indeed happening here
even now, knowing what’s happening, watching it in real time, we seem to be at a loss
when it comes to stopping it
all we can do is watch it play out
making small attempts to let our feelings be known to a monster who couldn’t care less what people want
no idea how, or when, this will end
they are few
we are many
a spoiled brat is somehow being allowed to destroy our county and the lives of millions
a spoiled brat and his followers, who are hungry for power over others and are filled with some kind of belief system that allows them to think beating people and dragging them out of their homes, ignoring all laws and the Constitution, well, you know…they think that’s just fine, so I do hope it happens to them, since they love it and voted for it
Anyway, life goes on, I guess, depending on the color of your skin, your economic status and all the rest
