Is it possible to show multiple ggplot plots into a RevealJS look and interactivity in one render?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find the best way to take an R script that generates multiple plots and render it as a Quarto RevealJS presentation where each set of plots gets its own slide.

My current script loops through a list of response variables, creating a histogram and a Q-Q plot for each one. In a standard HTML document, I can use patchwork to combine them and print them one after another, which works great.

Here is a reproducible example of my plotting code:

However, is it possible to have the combined plot for response_1 on one slide, the plot for response_2 on the next slide, and so on?

Basically, the look is like in here https://quarto.org/docs/presentations/revealjs/index.html. But the content of each slide is in the .qmd in ggplot2 script format.

So when rendered, the .qmd processed the ggplot first, then the generated images were shown in that gallery RevealJS look.

I recently became aware that for attaching a reveal.js document into an HTML document, one can use the embedio Quarto extension from The Coatless Professor. Is this the current standard procedure to embed reveal.js?

From what I understood, you need to use output: asis and "write" the slide as markdown in your code.
There are various discussions about these that you should be able to find on the repository and elsewhere such as the RMarkdown cookbook, etc.

I don't follow what this has to do with programmatically generating "one plot per slide". This is a completely different matter and possibly unrelated to your main question

The link you referenced is generated from a Quarto document which uses an iframe to embed the rendered Reveal.js slides generated from another Quarto document. Source code for all that can be accessed directly from the page "edit this page" under the table of content.

What does this mean?

I mean this component.

I am wondering if it is possible to print ggplots inside that component above, maybe with something simple like:

Instead of maybe making a separate .qmd in revealjs first inside ./assets and calling the embedio shortcodes.

Or maybe another alternative, like a scrollable gallery for plots. So that it is easier to show 6 plots in a 3x2 layout, for example.

As I said, this is an iframe of the rendered Reveal.js HTML file produced from a separate Quarto document.

An iframe requires content provided as file (mostly).

Now, it seems overcomplicated while you could use a layout- div and use the lightbox gallery mode.
