Good-bye 2009...

Good-bye 2009... Hello, 2010! Today, I am wearing my "I 'heart' NY" shirt thinking about my New York trip this time last year... I was watching the big city prepare for the biggest New Year's Party in the country! It was a fun time... just to see where it all takes place! This year we are going to ring in the new year with good friends, I am sure discussing all the things we have experienced this EVENTFUL 2009!

God's Blessings to you in 2010!

Happy New Year!

Oh, How They Know Me!...

It just makes me SMILE when I think about how well my girls and sweet hubby know me! Look at this super, cute belt they MADE me for Christmas!! One day when we were shopping at one of our local shops, the girls saw these conchos. The girls didnt say anything to me about these conchos... I didnt even notice them at the store. They took Will back to the store later to buy the conchos and then got him to do some of crafty leather work and help them make me a belt! I LOVE IT! I wore it the other night on our anniversary date with my new boots...

Ain't it cute?

Happy Hump Day!

Family Time...

This Sunday my Dad, Dee, my brother (Chad), his wife (Gina, their kiddos (Whitney and Garrett), and my two step-sisters (Abby and Megan) came to our house for our little Christmas! We had a great day together! The kids wanted to pose for a picture with the Abby and Megan! Here are my dad, my brother and I! I definately got the "short" gene in the family... and MAN did I need some lipstick! Lipstick was not on my mind after cooking turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, pea salad, rolls, gravy, and pumpkin pies! It was good if I do say so myself and we had a great day of just visiting! My house is a great place to meet in the middle for the day. I have the cutest little nephew in the world. He is a bit outnumbered with all my girls and his big sister! All Mr. Garret wanted to do was to ride Jasper so of course Uncle Will granted his wish!
Since Jasper was all saddled up Abby took a spin... she admitted it had been awhile since this Houston girl had been on a horse! Then it was Megan's turn... I am just glad she did not get hurt! Baylor really does not need one less cheerleader during basketball season :)
I really wish I would have gotten some better pictures to share... It was a FUN, busy day! Just the way I like it!

"Redneck" Snow Sledding...

We had LOTS of fun playing the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day Snow! Will had the great idea to tie a tarp to the back of the lawn mower and give the girls sleigh rides... Of course they LOVED it! I even took a turn. It was a bit bumpy, but it was FUN!

I call this our version of "Redneck" Snow Sleddin'!

I know we are a bit silly, but we had a great Christmas at home just the five of us...

Happy 12th Anniversary!...

12 years ago I married a WONDERFUL man! He has stood beside me through the good and the bad...through my ups and my downs... through my sick times and my healthy times...through my crazy moments and my normal, even tempered times! Will is an amazing husband and father.

So to celebrate our 12 years, here are 12 fun facts about our 12 years together.
1. We have only had 1 dog since we have been married... Jack. Jack is now 10 years old and was our "first child."

2. Will has two jobs since we graduated from ACU. First at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and now his current job at a small, local CPA, CFP firm.
3. Will has only owned 3 vehicles since I have known him and he had his old tan Ford until last May!

4. We are blessed to have 4 parents who LOVE us dearly!

5. I have had 5 jobs since I graduated from ACU... preschool teacher, Kindergarten teacher, special ed. teacher, first grade teacher, and MOMMY!

6. We have lost 6 of our grandparents since we were married 12 years ago... Momba, Bob, PiPa, Great PaPa, Granddad, and Honey.

7. We have been blessed to be the parents of Emiley Morgan Hale for 7 years.

8. We have beeen blessed to be the parents of Lainey Elizabeth Hale for 8 years.

9. We have visited 9 states togethers...Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Missouri, California, Florida, Michigan, and Hondorus. (Ok, I know Hondorus is not a state, but I needed it to make my cute number "thingy" work!)

10. We have been blessed to be the parents of Abbey Grace Hale for 10 years.

11. We have had 11 cats... NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME! We are not crazy cat people! Living in the country cats are a MUST to keep the snakes and mice away!... Fat Louie, Rose, Rosalina, Tiger, Hootie, Jayton, Cowgirl, Crash,...these are the most recent :)

12. TWELVE BLESSED YEARS TOGETHER!

We were able to go out to dinner last night ALONE! We always are able to sneak away during the holidays since there are FREE family sitters around...

Christmas FUN...

Christmas Day may have come and gone but the memories that our little family of five shared will live on FOREVER! We are so thankful for the SNOW that our area was blessed with! Everyone dreams of a white Christmas and it made this Christmas extra special...
We must have all been EXTRA good this year because Santa left lots of goodies. I must admit I did get a switch and coal in my stocking... of course the coal was refined a bit into a diamond!!
Santa was extra sweet to the girls and left them a trampoline in the living room in a huge BOX!
So the next morning we braved the cold conditions and the snow and put the trampoline together as family! It took us less than an hour and then it was time to enjoy our new toy! We also took rides in the snow in sort of a "redneck way" on a tarp tied to the back of the lawn mower! Even I took a turn :) It was a bit bumpy but FUN! ( I have video of the girls doing this to share later!)We made snow angels and enjoyed every last minute of our white Christmas! When we would get too cold we would come in and warm up with hot chocolate and do other fun things like make a gingerbread house, watch Christmas movies, nap, or just hang out!
We have lots of family heading to our house for the weekend and couldnt be happier!

How Does THIS Happen?...

How did my babies grow up so FAST? It seems like just yesterday that they let me dress them in matching Christmas dresses. It seems like just yesterday it was a NIGHTMARE to get that PERFECT picture!
It seems like just yesterday they all had those chubby baby cheeks and were all missing their front teeth!
They are growing up WAY TO FAST!
How does this happen? I am not sure I like it!
They are LOADS of FUN but are growing way too fast for this mommy!

Happy Hump Day!

The Elves are Working...

The Elves are really working hard at our house... School is out and we are busy cleaning and working at our house! We did enjoy sleeping until 7 this morning! I am rearranging, cleaning out closets, under beds, and hope to get to the basics of mopping, dusting, and cleaning the bathrooms soon. Then tomorrow my three little elves and I need to hit the grocery store and buy some goodies for our Christmas baking and our yummy Christmas meal! We are still trying to decide between turkey and ham. We are having a low-key Christmas this year with just the five of us, but will be joined by my dad, Dee, Abby, Megan, and my brother, Gina, Whitney and Garrett for the Sunday after Christmas. We cant wait for Days and Days full of relaxation and Christmas FUN!

This weekend I was able to spend some time with three of my best friends from high school. We relaxed at the lake, at taco soup and laughed our heads' off! We only took one picture which was not on my camera so if I ever get the picture I will be sure to share it with you. I am sure blessed to have friends that I have had since second grade! Good time girls!!!

Happy Monday :)
