We Got This...

These 7th grade girls have GOT running... Some of them just have it in their genes!  It has been a fun Cross Country season.  These girls have either taken home 1st or 2nd as a team at EVERY.SINGLE.MEET and they have two more meets to go.  One of those meets is district.
Our Abbey is a fighter.  Right now she is down.  She has a hurt muscle in her leg.  She is completely bummed but if she follows the docs rules she can be back in a week or so.  Good news is there is no meet next week.  They've GOT each other.
These girls have GOT a fun side and they have a side that knows how to WORK HARD!
These girls GOT a coach  that families that come and cheer them on!
These girls GOT a coach that believes in them and pushes them past where they thought they could go.
These girls GOT a coach who RUNS with them!  How AWESOME!
WE are learning Cross Country and LOVING it!  Its amazing to see us at the top of the board week after week!  We got AWESOME (Stand-in) Grandmothers who take pictures of every last detail or every meet for us!
We GOT this girls!  You are doing AMAZING things!

Oh Dear Christian College...

Oh Dear Christian College We LOVE YOU!!!  And we LOVE a road trip with our college buddies...
Abbey can hardly wait to see her best buds in life Kate and Kooper so we all jumped on the chance to meet up at Cowboys Stadium and watch the ACU Wildcats play Tarleton.  It ended up being a great game all the way to the finish!  These three hope to be at ACU together in the future :)
We had a big group of ACU fans!  (Even 2 whose momma was a TSU alum but was cheering for ACU because their NaNa is an ACU alum!!)
It's always a great day when the CATS win and when you get to see long-time friends...
Yes, Abbey Grace couldn't help but get in the Momma picture!  (Not sure where the daddy's were!)
It was a good day to be a Wildcat fan!  Right, Kenna Mae?

Scarf Swap...

To say I am lover of scarves is an understatement... So when I saw the "Scarf Swap" on Meredith's Blog, I knew I wanted to join in the FUN!  I was paired with Megan and couldn't wait to get in on the FUN!  The problem was I was super busy so sort of missed the message of sweet Megan on FB about her asking me what I liked!  Luckily, she picked a GREAT scarf for me.  I am really liking orange this season.  She picked a really large scarf.  I enjoyed it at church yesterday!
I even tied it around my purse to just "carry it cute!"  Dont you LOVE the colors!  We are a little short on shopping places around here so I hope Megan enjoys her scarf, too...

PS:  Sorry for the bad photos.  Wish I would have remembered to take pics yesterday.  I just snapped these today after work :(

Happy Monday!

Oh, You Know...

Oh, You know things have been busy as usual around here.  Since I posted about Miss Em's birthday we have had about 100 things to post about.  I will just touch on them and "hope" to get into more detail later, but dont hold your breath.  Emiley asked for a balance beam for her birthday and of course we DELIVERED!  She says it feels like a REAL balance beam and she is thrilled.  Will and I ordered it on-line and it appeared to be the least dangerous.  She can already to a cartwheel on it!
Since Abbey had cheer on Tuesday night and Lainey had soccer practice we were able to take Emiley to dinner alone with just parents!  She was excited.  Then when everyone was home we had CAKE!!!  The it was off to showers and bed for another early morning wake up for cross country!

The next day Lainey and I headed out to Outdoor School (at Camp Champions on Lake LBJ) with her 5th grade class and school.  It is 2 days full of ropes courses, kayaking, rock wall climbing, TEAM building, and camping.  I was so HAPPY I got to be a "parent camper" again.  Only 6 moms and 6 dads are drawn!
I was so proud of Lainey.  She was the first kid to get in Lainey for the ropes course and climbed right up and over the ropes!  I teared up... I was so PROUD!
She really had to use her strength and overcome some fear!
Then it was off to some kayaking on beautiful Lake LBJ!
This task seemed to be a bit frustating for our girl but she got back in her kayak and kept trying!  We slept in cabins with no AC and it brought me home with allergies and no voice.  As soon as we got home we were greeted to EE and a football game!  Abbey Grace cheered her heart out for our Bulldogs... We enjoyed playing with this sweet baby girl...
The next day (Friday) was Camo day for the Bulldogs so Miss Em tried her work at duct tape bows!  Pretty cute, huh?  We were glad to have EE but I am sure she thinks we are CRAZY BUSY!
Then Saturday it was us at our usual 5 a.m. for cross country.  We headed to Brownwood for a meet!  Our 7th grade girls came in FIRST!!!!  They beat some larger school and were AWESOME.  We had 4 girls come in the top ten.  Abbey Grace come in 6th place out of almost 100 runners.  Our team scored 31 points and the 2nd place team scored 59.  (The lower the score the better!)
Then it was off the a volleyball tourney were most of the girls played 3 games and got third place in the tournament!  Abbey requested a chicken fried steak for dinner and then we were off to bed!
Now we are catching up on Sunday.  I realize I need to post about our FUN trip to the ACU game!  GO CATS!!!

Have a good Week!!

My Baby...

My baby is a spunky one.  She is full of life and spirit.  She jumps, smiles and tumbles everywhere she goes...
My baby is the 3rd little girl in our family of 5!  She makes herself known.  She is kind and genuine and oh, so smart.
My baby girl can make you laugh on a dime.  She is the lover of all things and all people and all people LOVE her!
My baby always has a good time.  She can turn a crack into a balance beam and a pile of rocks into a game.
Today my baby is turning 10, double digits.  I love you Miss Em.  You are pure joy.

These Girls...

These girls have HEART!!  They wake up at 5:30 and RUN... I mean really run... and they are GOOD!
They were put to the test this past weekend against 15 other teams (schools).  I was a bit nervous and I think they were too.  It was a real "test" to see their talent...
The field was packed with 115 jr. high runners... They had to restart the race because some runners fell at the start.  INTENSE!
Our girls proved themselves.  We had a 6th, 9th, 11th, and 13th place finishers... We were the 2nd place team OVERALL!  The only bad news, the 1st place team was from our district and now we want to beat them at district in October!
Our Sweet Abbey Grace was 11th overall out of over 100 runners!  She is Amazing!
THESE GIRLS are so special and have so many people who love them and believe in them!
They are going to do GREAT things!  We just know it!  They are dedicated and work so hard!  So proud of you Abbey G...

Happy Monday!

Happies...

In the days of CRAZY, BUSY around here there are things that just make your SMILE... Like thinking about taking our girls to Cowboy Stadium on Saturday to watch the ACU Wildcats play a little football!
The girls LOVE the CATS and ACU!  We may be pushing our Alumni on them a bit because we LOVE them, too!  And to make it even better our BFF's from ACU are coming, too and so Abbey gets to be reunited with her BFF's... They need some BFF time!
This little Jr. High cheerleader is pretty happy that today is her first pep rally and football game!  WOW, cant believe it but she is SO EXCITED!
I'm pretty excited, too!  I've tried my cheer mom button on for size!
These "One Direction" fans were pretty happy to wear their T's to the lastest Jr. High dance.  I think they looked pretty cute :)
(She's gonna kille me!)  It makes me happy when I get a sweet text from my SUPER talented friend that she is sewing for her daughter and asks my opinion on her awesome cute shirts!!!  One day I hope to get one :)  It would make me HAPPY!!
I LOVE it when Lainey yells from the backseat, "Momma, take a picture of the sunrise! It's so beautiful today!"  Makes me happy!
This tag in my colored skinnies made me laugh a little... "Treat with Love!"  I like that.ALOT!  OK, I will...
It makes me REALLY.HAPPY that his sweet girl who loves gymnastics wants a balance beam for her birthday in 5 days!  Let's see if we can make that happen almost 10 year old!  It would make you SO.HAPPY!
What makes you happy this Thursday!

Around Here Lately...

Around here lately we have had to retrieve a dead squirrel from our little efficiency house.  He tried to get in from the old hot water heater closet and got stuck.  Ooops... It was a bit stinky.  Poor little fellow!

Around here lately there was a big semi-truck that got itself stuck at our stop sign on our dirt road.  They had to get another truck to pull him out.  We had to take another route home.

Around here lately this cheerleader is growing up way to fast.  She looks so grown up.  She is doing cheer, cross country and volleyball right now.  Busy times.  (Oh, yes and she stepped on a little bull snake while getting her backpack out of the car one night!)
Around here lately my sweet girls LOVE to draw me sweet pictures on my phone...
Around here lately these two sweet friends still cant get enough of each other and are pretty happy that their big sisters are in EVERY activity together!
Around here lately we are so HAPPY to celebrate GREAT things with our girls!  Miss Em loved showing off her medal.  (And Abbey's Cross Country team placed 1st at their first meet!  Abbey was 4th overall.)
Now we are off to a volleyball game. It's just the norm for us around here lately!

Happy Monday!
