DEVOTION

No matter what the issue or concern is, praying with fellow believers is very powerful. I believe God hears us on our own, but I also believe when we collectively pray for specific things it glorifies and shows our reverence for Him. Through prayer and waiting we can develop patience, reliance, and trust. To God be the glory!

God formed the hearts of ALL people, whether they believe that or not. The hardest part for Christians is watching the world around us devolve into chaos because people are running away from a loving God who created them to be in a relationship with Him.

DEVOTION

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We have been born into sin as the result of the Fall. Not one person has the keys to eternal life until he or she makes a decision to follow Jesus Christ. For those who have chosen to follow Him, the joy of eternal life is at hand.

DEVOTION

As we go through life taking control of every situation and crafting our own destiny, we can find life to be a bit empty. We cannot successfully navigate this life without God. It’s when we release the wheel and allow God to guide our path that we will find true purpose.

DEVOTION

The worry today is that too many churches are only “seeker friendly”. They do a great job at getting people in the door, but they rarely stray outside of the New Testament and don’t give their congregation enough practical use of God’s word. When trials come their way they feel as if God is singling them out and their faith quickly fades.

God’s Wisdom Knows No Bounds

DEVOTION

Each one of us faces moments in life where we have to make decisions that can possibly change the course of our lives. When those moments arrive it is important that we don’t act hastily, that we take these decisions before God. He will give us the wisdom we need in these times. Never leave decisions of this magnitude to men, take them to God, who’s wisdom knows no bounds.

God’s Detours Lead to the Path of Righteousness

The LORD is my shepherd . . . He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Psalm 23:1, 3

DEVOTION

God cares that you are on a “path of righteousness”. For that reason he me may pull the rug out from under you from time to time, but he’ll always break your fall. When we are going down a road, there are sometimes peaks and valleys. God sees over the peeks and to the other side of the valleys. He provides detours that we may not understandat the time, but in the end, it’s His desire that we end up on the road that leads to righteousness.

DEVOTION

Have you ever sat through a church service, men’s/women’s ministry, or special event and thought, “I am not equipped and could never do what they do?” Don’t sell yourself short and never look to your own strength when stepping out in faith. None of these people do these things under their own strength, God Spirit is always involved. We’re all important as part of the church, step out in faith and you’ll be amazed what God can do through you!

DEVOTION

I grew up in a Christian household, but though I believed I didn’t really “get it”. As a young man I strayed away and lived a not so tame, worldly life. I’m grateful that my family never gave up on me and God never did either. He was there when I needed him most, redeemed me and washed my sins away. I get it!

DEVOTION

God sees our every move, knows our every thought, and is intimately aware of our situation. He hears our prayers and has a unique path set aside for each of us. We all have free will, but as followers of the living God we should yearn to live our lives in a way that is pleasing in his sight. Allow him to influence your steps and light your path, he will guide you and give you strength.
