Every Minute of Every Day!

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

Think about this; the God who created all things is working for you, every minute of every day!

Every blessing we have; our jobs, our homes, our families, every good thing, comes from God. The minute we start believing we are the authors of our blessings, we’ve removed God from His thrown and dared to sit in His seat.

Be thankful for all God has done for you by giving Him the thanks He deserves!

The Heart of a Believer

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

There’s something that happens to the heart of a believer once he or she asks Jesus to be the Lord of their life. As we relinquish control over to Him and are filled with the Holy Spirit, we begin to change. Subtle as it may be, this process continues throughout the span of our lives.

I’ll be the first to admit, my heart gets obliterated far more than it ever did prior to committing to a relationship with Christ. He’s molded me to care and have compassion for things I would have most likely avoided or ignored prior.

Allow God to mold you and guide you toward those who need His love most!

A Habit Worth Developing

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

It may not seem very masculine to boast about being weak, but when it comes to facing trials, God is far more equipped and willing to battle through them for you.

It takes time to develop a habit. If there’s any habit worth developing, it’s learning to immediately place your burdens into the capable hands of God.

Rise Above Your Emotions

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

Routines give us comfort. We have certain habits we perform daily, and that gives us comfort. It’s when our routine is interrupted by difficult circumstances that our world can be turned on it’s head.

A crisis shakes up the routine and throws expectations out the window. It’s disorienting and difficult to know what to do.

This is the time it’s pertinent to take an assessment, like Nehemiah did, of your situation before you allow anxiety and fear to overtake you.

God says, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you” (Hebrews 13:5). God has your back. Trust-fall into His waiting arms, He will give the strength needed to rise above your emotions and be victorious!

Is Your Strength Too Small?

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

It’s so simple to become weak in our faith. What I mean by this is, we get so used to simply “being Christians”, that our faith goes from a raging fire to being only glowing embers.

When trials come, it’s like being a 90-pound weakling stepping up to dead-lift a 500-pound barbell. You will quickly realize you haven’t properly trained for the task, your strength is too small.

Chase after God! Chase after the wisdom you’ll need to be fully prepared for trials when they come! Cultivate that relationship with the Holy Spirit so you can call in Him for the strength required to take you through to victory!

Build Your Faith-Muscles

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

When we enter a challenging season it’s important to seek God, to ask for His help, His strength, and His guidance.

We also need to immerse ourselves in God’s Word. In doing that, we need to focus on portions of the Bible that relate to our plight. For instance, Job was a man who faced great trials, coming through them because of God’s provision.

Being faithful through trials will require a healthy support-system of reading God’s Word, prayer, and putting all of it into practice. In this we learn how to have patience, how to wait, and how God works. We build up our faith-muscles. When God causes breakthroughs and finally victories, your faith will be rewarded.

Even the Small Things

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

Has God ever accomplished something in your life at random? It may have been something simple or something that really stands out.

God shows up when we least expect it, just as He does when we’ve been desperately praying for answers. The key here is; God fights for you all the time!

Give Him thanks for the small things as well as the big, they are blessings above and beyond the ultimate blessing, our salvation!

Valley of God’s Blessings

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

The Valley of Beracah (or Valley of Blessings), is where Israel came against three armies.

Knowing that this was certainly a no-win situation, King Jehoshaphat asked God for His help. The armies basically annihilated themselves. The battle was finished before it even started, and the men of Judah picked up plunder for three days.

At some point, you will find that the things that are the hardest in your life are the things that make you more like Jesus. You will also find yourself in the “Valley of God’s Blessings” as He fights your battles, delivering on the prayers you’ve prayed.

Praying Within God’s Will

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

When we feel God’s nudge in a given situation, it’s safe to assume it’s within the scope of His will. When you feel that God is guiding you toward something you should pray as though it will happen, having an unmovable faith.

Many make the mistake of praying outside of God’s will. When we do this, we face probable failure and disappointment. Those who experience this may feel as if God is punishing them.

Do everything with your focus being that it is within God’s will and that it is something He is guiding you towards. Pray faithfully, believing that He will bring it to fruition.

Having Discernment

DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

They call this discernment; God giving you the ability to have a keen insight and good judgment. It gives you the ability to be calm in a fearful situation. It also allows you to “see” things others may not be able to.

Similar to wisdom, it is certainly something you can pray for. Think of it as having a magnetic north to navigate to, without it, you’re pretty much wondering aimlessly.

Use God’s discernment to guide you through the worldly obstacles you will face.
