DAILY VERSE

DEVOTION

If you’ve received Christ as your personal savior, no matter where you find yourself, He is with you!

We tend to think of God as far off. We stand and speak up to the night sky as if God is far off, beyond the edges of the known universe. The truth is, He’s right here. He’s accessible 24/7. He’s told us He will never leave or forsake us.

Whatever struggles you are facing, God is with you!

DAILY VERSE

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5

DEVOTION

Remain – continue, persist, endure, stay…these are one in the same. When we first believed, most of us were on fire. Our faith was new. We couldn’t serve enough, read the Bible enough, or be at church with other believers enough.

But like anything, that initial passion softens. They key then is, do you continue to grow as a Christian, and does your love for Christ continue?

If we distance ourselves from Christ or put our faith on a shelf, our faith grows cold, and we are no longer bearing fruit. If we are to be effective in bringing others to Christ, armoring ourselves to face the world’s challenges, and staying in a close relationship with Jesus – we must remain in God’s Word and strengthen our roots.

DAILY VERSE

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”

John 11:25-26

DEVOTION

Every day is fraught with its own challenges. If we are paying attention, there’s chaos all around us.

But God has already written the final chapter of our lives. He’s foretold how we can be 100% certain that our future has been secured. We no longer need to fear.

It’s as simple as believing.

DAILY VERSE

I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak…

Ezekiel 34:16

DEVOTION

How many of us can say we deserve such mercy and love? How many of us have strayed?

Growing up, like many, I took the offramp that leads to selfishness and so-called fun. I knew and believed in Jesus, I just put my faith on hold – unless I needed something. That life is unfulfilling in the end.

Thankfully, God had other plans.

I saw a great analogy online while watching Russell Brand. He’s new to the faith and is a joy to listen to. He likened us as humans to a $20 bill; you can step on it, get it dirty, and wad it up, but no matter what you do to it (unless it’s destroyed), it’s still worth 20 dollars.

We are all valued by God!

DAILY VERSE

So, Jesus said again, “I tell you the solemn truth, I am the door for the sheep…If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture.”

John 10:7, 9

DEVOTION

The ONLY pathway to heaven is paved by Jesus Christ. Other religions, including the religion of the world, would have you think that by being a good person, being kind to others, and living a decent life, you’ve been cleared to enter the Pearly Gates. Nothing can be farther from the truth.

Due to “original sin,” we’re all born separated from God. When God kicked Adam & Eve out of the Garden, that was a death sentence. We were born with the same sentence handed down to us.

But, God, in His infinite mercy, sent Jesus to pay the price. It’s ONLY through Him that we have our relationship reinstated and our sentence commuted! It’s ONLY through Him that God looks upon through the lens of His Son. He looks upon us with the same love He had for us at creation.

Jesus IS the Way!

DAILY VERSE

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

DEVOTION

The world can be a dark place. But even in the midst of the darkness, Jesus is able to overpower it all.

No matter where you find yourself. If you’re facing health struggles, loss of a job, family problems, or depression, Jesus can help you overcome them all!

He is the Light of the World!
