SCRIPTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF TWELVE (III)

3)            Revelation 22:2 “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Who came down from heaven to judge the sin of Adam? Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:” Genesis 3:17 “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” the Judge is none other than Jesus Christ, in His pre-incarnate manifestation: for God the Father does not vacate the celestial throne. So that they would not take of the tree of life then and be ineligible for salvation, “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever” (Genesis 3:22): but after the restoration of man and the renovation of this world, the replenishment and the air of salubrity must bear the “Twelve” mark of “…he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven” (John 3:13).

This is my conclusion. God told Abraham that the entire land he was sojourning was his own forever. Abraham himself did not move away from the land. Isaac his successor lived all his days on the land like his father. What led to the acquisition of the land began when Jacob travelled away from the land. The reason why Jacob had the honour of bringing Israel to the Promised Land was because of his fatherhood establishment of twelve sons. The entire twelve tribes of Israel had to ritualize this number by applying the blood of the Actuator of number twelve. Who led Israel with strong arm out of Egypt? Is it not the pillar of cloud and of fire by day and night? Exodus 14:19 “And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:” another title of the Christ is the Angel of the LORD. Jacob’s twelve must be protected by the Actuator of His number.

Isaiah 63:9 “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.” It was important for Israel to have a spiritual link with number twelve to attract the redeeming grace for the prince standing by His side. The scriptural documentation makes it plain as day who this enigmatic Being is.

1Corinthians 10:4 “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” The goings forth of Jesus has been from of old. One of such goings from heaven to our earth is His shepherding of Israel to the Promised Land, a promise He made to His friend, Abraham. Israel must drink of her Creator. 1Corinthians 10:9 “Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.” In the Book of Numbers 21:5 and 6, the recalcitrant Israel spoke against the LORD God and His Providence, loathing the bread – the signification of the body of Jesus broken for our redemption. So, in the 6th verse God sent fiery serpents against disbelievers of the Actuator of what they represent: twelve.

They did not even know that it was the Redeemer of Israel that they spoke contumaciously against. And what was the solution to the serpentine blitzkrieg: for heaven above dealt with them using the wickedness of terra firma? His anger would not let Him destroy them utterly; knowing the manner in which He will save the world, the Lord chose its adumbration. Numbers 21:8 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.”

Numbers 20:11 “And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.” This Mosaic uncalled for act adumbrates the preposterous ignorance of Jews that will lead to the injustice done to Jesus that culminated in the Golgotha substitutionary death for mankind. Jesus, in His pre-incarnate manifestation, allowed Himself to be hit, to set as a future precedence. The number twelve is indeed soteriological. Amen.

The number twelve is too significant to be left in the polluted hands of Adamic orchestration. The disciples of Jesus, not in true awareness of the fact that they were still in the Old Testamentary order, decided to actuate the mystical number of the LORD’s apostles. In between verses 23 and 26 of Acts of the Apostles chapter one the apostles prayed, asking God to show whom He had chosen in place of Judas. Acts 1:23 “And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.” That they appointed more than one former disciples shows that they had a problem of knowing the mind of Jesus concerning a replacement for Judas, who proved unworthy of the divine number twelve.

SCRIPTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF TWELVE (II)

2)            The LORD of creation, wanting to redeem Ishmael, had to introduce him into the mystery of twelve. Genesis 17:20 “And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.” It is, from the look of Islamism, evident that Ishmael did not, like the hart, seek and thirst after the water of salvation through the Lord of twelve.

When it was time to lay the national foundation for His number, Genesis 49:28 reads, “All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.” Jacob, the last of the triune Patriarchal custodian of Divine Promise, returned the baton back to Jesus, the only One Who can perfectly wield the power of twelve. Many verses of Scripture italicize the Christological significance of twelve.

Exodus 39:14 “And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.” Israel means ‘he will rule’. How? By the side of Jehovah Jesus. Very expedient it is, for Israel to represent the number twelve for her survival. No wonder as hard as the surrounding Arabian nations of Islam will try, they cannot subdue Israel, a soldiering prince by the side of God, Jehovah tsebaoth, the Man of war of 1Samuel 1:3. Any Arabian war against Israel, on account of the holy number of twelve, is a declaration of an otiose jihadism against the Almighty One of Israel.

Numbers 7:84 “This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold:” twelve is an attraction and indubitable involvement of the eternal Saviour and our heavenly High Priest, Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega.

Matthew 9:20 “And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:” this is the first time ‘twelve’ is mentioned in the New Testament. She came behind Jesus, as Reverend Chris Okotie taught, because she is the Israel of the Old Testamentary order. None received eternal salvation that made use of recumbent animal as the sacrificial element. The LORD of twelve was using the woman of issue of blood to transit from the Old to the New Testamentary Order when He had to visit the twelve year old girl, the daughter of Jairus. The sick woman who had spent all she had on her ailment signified Israel, from this theological understanding, as being badly haemorrhagic spiritually. Twelve, being our Emmanuel, has removed the stiffness of religious preclusion. Twelve, having to do with mankind, came with healing and restoration. Without the essence of twelve, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Mark 8:19 “When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.” Five is the number of grace. Jesus is the discernibility of the grace of God to all nations, Whose earthly appearance, on account of the soteriology, is inevitable. The grace of Jesus translates into the salvific potency of twelve, His number. A careful study of the testimonial story of the feeding of the five thousand will prove that, with the inclusion of women and children, there were probably 18,000 people at that crusade. The remaining baskets full of fishes and loaves points to the superabundance of twelve in divine Providence: socially, physically and spiritually.

Mark 9:35 “And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.” The number twelve came into spiritual effect for the service of fallen humanity: the fall that looked like it had no solution. In serving the will of the Father, Jesus took on the number twelve. Luke 9:1, “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.” Transfer of Divine power can only go to those who have been sanctified, preserved and called into the life of the Grand Bearer of twelve. For our sake He took number twelve to quicken our mortal bodies by His Spirit indwelling us. Who else would Jesus have His authority transferred to other than true Christians, His mystical body?

Revelation 21:14 “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” The Apostles, representatives of the Entity of number twelve, reached out to the entire world to instruct its teeming population of the protocolary decision of God. Their names, impressed on the foundations, testifying the imprimatur received from the Entity of twelve, will be there forever. Revelation 21:16 “And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.” The Lord of the city is the Entity of twelve. He is the King of kings, who receives the latria: for He is the Creator and Saviour of the world. Revelation 21:21 “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.” For having gone through Divine salvation, the new earth must be renovated, bearing His number. The Renovator of the heaven and the earth, the Last Adam and also the Second Man, uses pearl, a precious and costly jewel, lending credence to the value God places on the Christian.

SCRIPTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF TWELVE (I)

1)            The Divine inherent latent power of the number twelve was ignited at the Incarnation. Twelve, from the point of Scripture, is the number of the soteriology. The Incarnational phenomenality is irrefutably the hypostatic union of the unwonted one-hundred-percent-God, one-hundred-percent-man of the enigmatic quiddity of Jesus Christ. Jesus often called Himself the Son of Man. We also know from Scripture that He is definitely the Son of God. It says that “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7).It also records in God’s word, “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31). Created on day number six, it is the number of the first man, Adam.

This is the scriptural account of Adam, the husband of Eve, 1Corinthians 15:45 “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” His natural emergence is from the dust, earthly, created on the sixth day. There is a marked difference between the first and the last of these Adams, as we understand 1Corinthians 15:46, “Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.” The spiritual realm rules the physical. “The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven” (1Cor 15:47). As the Second Man, His number is 6+6 (12). As the Last Adam, He is the prototypical reality of Adamic beings: for it says, “Let us make man in our image” in Genesis 1:26 and Pauline teaching unveils the ‘image’ in 2Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” We were made after the image of Christ, the Second Member of the Godhead.

Indubitable soteriological facticity of the number twelve comes to fore in the vaticination of Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” The Messianic reality of establishment coming from the given Son further establishes the Incarnation. The birth of the child underscores the emergence of the Second Man – the second six or twelve –, the Last Adam, being the most enigmatic One to tread upon the surface of terra firma. The Lord from the Rainbow Administration of the empyrean assizes cannot be born: for a being of Adamic procreation begins life in the womb. The Christ, Whose goings forth is from eternality of the timeless past, can only be given, ergo, the Incarnation. Amen.

His Incarnation brought the timelessness of the Christ into the time of our world. Seven days for a week accounts for the perfection of His being. Twelve number of months for every year makes Him the Owner of our days. In the heavenly assizes, there are twenty-four lesser thrones forming an arc round the empyrean Majesty. The twenty-four elders represent the perfect Church that does not fail to give the true latria to the Most High Jehovah, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The deity of Jesus accounts for the titles of Wonderful, Counsellor, The everlasting Father and Prince of peace. I once explained His Deity to a Jehovah’s Witness member, pointing to “mighty God” of Isaiah and, “He is ‘mighty’, not ‘Almighty’,” was his retort. If mighty is given in modification of God, in this case, Jesus, then, He is, no doubt, the Almighty. How do I know this fact? Let us read a Davidic Psalm 24:8 “Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” The LORD is the Hebraic Yahweh, receiving grammatical qualification of the same ‘mighty’ which in Hebrew is gibbôr (ghib-bore’): ‘mighty, powerful, warrior or tyrant.’

The first time the number twelve appears in Scripture is in Genesis 14:4 “Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.” This number of soteriological significance easily translates service. Chedorlaomer’s tyranny forced five kingdoms under its domination for twelve years. They failed to stay liberated because they bypassed Christ, the true Owner of the number twelve, believing in their physical warring strength. It took the number of grace – five – for Abraham, friend of Christ, the LORD of Psalm 24, to redeem Lot from Chedorlaomer’s grip. They were five kingdoms only in physical numeration, denying the power of the grace of God, hence, they failed to break successfully from the tyrannical grip of Chedorlaomer.

Two Dimensions Of God’s Nature (Five)

5)            The ‘image’ dimension of God is the Portal of His Divinity. His Image, truly Christological, must exhibit knowledge, which continually strums at the strings of anthropopathism. Exodus 3:7 “And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;” and for which He acted and displayed His miraculous power, leading them in the pillar of cloud in daylight and in pillar of fire at night. Luke 16:15 “And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” Speaking of knowledge, the Image is truly the Personality revealed in Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” That the ‘image’ of Genesis 1:26 is a Personage has its documentation in Colossians 3:4 “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Scriptural understanding proves that God thinks too. Exodus 32:14 “And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.” King David, the psalmist wrote: “But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God” (Psalm 40:17).

One of the comforting things about God is His remembering stance. Genesis 9:16 “And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.” In Genesis 8:1 God remembered Noah and the living things of the ark, and made sure they came out to live their normal lives again. In Genesis 19:29, God remembered what His conversation with Abraham concluded on and saved Lot in the annihilation of Sodom and Gomorrah. In Genesis 30:22 God remembered Rachel, who had been barren for some years. In the Book of Exodus 2:24 God heard the cries of Israel when they wallowed in Egyptian bondage, because He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God did not forget His promise to Sarah. Genesis 21:1 “And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.”

If God does not make verbal use of words the Scripture will not read, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).Genesis 2:16-17 “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” While in the wilderness, we read of Mosaic writing, “And God spake all these words, saying,” when all ears of the children of Israel heard Him when the Ten Commandments were given in Exodus 20:1-26. The twenty-second verse reads, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.”

There is no repudiation against the fact that God hears. Psalm 6:8-9 8) “Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. 9) The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.” Quoting from the Old Testament, Stephen reminded Israel of God’s feeling towards them. Acts 7:34 “I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.” Genesis 6:6 “And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” Verses like these ones enable man to believe that man does not only have feelings like God, his Creator, but also that grieving the heart of the Divinity is too dangerous. God knew what atrocities man would perpetrate, and what looks like a grieving surprise to the Almighty is certainly not so. Nothing takes Him by surprise. Knowing that God feels what we feel will draw a wise person very close to Him and this knowledge should bind a wise person to the God, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Sharing an attribute with the Deity is mind-blowing awesomeness!

The Bible tells us that God did rest. Genesis 2:2 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” His rest did not result from the fatigue of toilsome pain. It was a basking in the euphoria of divine accomplishment. The LORD had perfected and put in place, the instrumentality that ushers the ineluctability of the Incarnation. The Adamic bait will serve as an entrapment and Lucifer will be captured for judgment. After about seven thousand years Christ will appear the second time to rule for one thousand years. Soon after that, hell will receive all spiritual miscreants. Eternal peace will commence. Rest, God did rest: for everything is in proper place.

God gave Adam His two dimensions of nature to legalize His intention to develop human relations. The LORD is called a Shepherd in Psalms 23:1; 80:1 and John 10:11. His bucolic stance of the ecclesiastic order admits the Christological office, pointing to the soteriological essence. Without Him, by Whom all things consists, Who is before all things, salvation of souls is a mere mirage. As the ultimate Judge, He allowed Abraham to intercede for the guiltless before Him in Genesis 18:25. Isaiah 33:22 “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.”

The anthropopathic and anthropomorphic dimensions of God clearly show that the Creator is not without acumen, conviction, emotions, moral drive, which are carried out with physical externalities, giving proofs of His Divine Personality.

Getting born again is strictly a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Two Dimensions Of God’s Nature (Four)

4)            Jehovah knew, before Adam was created that Esau would not be a trusted vessel. He knew that, as supplanting as Jacob would turn out to be, he is the good one to serve His divine purpose. The birth of these twin brothers is very crucial to God’s biggest business. One of them must receive the patriarchal baton for the fructification of Genesis 3:15 vaticination. God never goes into any business and loses because He, the LORD God, does not commit errors. This is the huge picture Bible readers fail to acknowledge: it is all about Jesus and the salvation of mankind. The right person must occupy the Israeli patriarchy that must produce the Saviour of the world: this is the biggest theological deal. The blessings of the first born, having been given to a manipulator, and ostensibly having the hand of God, what should a reasonable Esau do? Congratulate his twin brother, of course, for receiving favour of God. He should be ready to work with him to make things easy for the next in line of divine mission. But check the first thing Esau contemplated. “And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob” (Genesis 27:41).

Why would the Omniscience of Him choose another supporter of Lucifer, did Cain not do the similar evil? Methinks there dwelleth mutual love between Chef Esau and Father Isaac? How come this same Esau had to his collection of abominable feathers the revelation of Genesis 28:8-9? 8) “And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father; 9) Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.” Marriage to ungodliness is unacceptable; Esau married from Ishmael simply to spite Isaac, the man of God. The things God hates, He knew beforehand, Esau would love. God, ergo, hated Esau, an Antichrist ambassador of Lucifer.

Feeling disappointed in the future betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot, and because God knew Judas would not be truly sorry and consequently ask for forgiveness, the Bible says, “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled” (John 17:12). Technically, Judas Iscariot was not a true apostle; his probationary period proved him to be unworthy of apostleship for God’s business of His most guarded institution: the Church.

Anthropopathism is revealed in wrath as we read in Exodus 32:9-10 9) “And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 10) Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.” Did they not witness the matchless power of God in the miraculous things He did to save them for Pharaoh’s slavery? How can one be so consumed in audacity and fail woefully to acknowledge that there is no way anyone will disrespect the Holy One of Israel, Who indubitably wields the unconquerable Omnipotence, is also the matchless Omniscience and is the unimaginable Omnipresence as well, and the offending idiot will go without punishment?

Psalm 2:4 “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.” Verse 5 “Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.” Verse 12 “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” He is not unfeeling, therefore, God laughs; He will deride your stupidity. He shows His wrath: ask Pharaoh and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Revelation 15:7 “And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.” God will pour forth His divine wrath on the earth, during the three and a half years of the Tribulation, the second half of the Antichrist’s seven years of cosmos rule.

Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” How can you love without expressing it with something? It is for the very reason we have the microcosm of the entire Bible in one verse, found in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He loves; therefore, He gives; showing that love is emotive. 1John 4:16 “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

Getting born again is strictly a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Two Dimensions Of God’s Nature (Three)

3)            God’s anthropopathy is quite Scriptural. God’s nature expresses joy in His wish to renovate the heaven and earth as we read in Isaiah 65:19 “And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.” Leaving us in no doubt that Israel – and by extension, the Christian – is in divine calendar, the prophetic utterance of His favourable emotion in Zephaniah 3:17 is “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”

The LORD God displays His grief. Judges 10:15-16 15) “And the children of Israel said unto the LORD, We have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day.16) And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.” Grief is not, in reality, a part of Him. He brings out a damning emotion for us to see, so that we should show an earnest need for His compassion. This readily obtainable compassion Cain tragically rejected. Pauline exegesis on Mosaic wilderness experience couch explains God’s emotional discharge in Hebrews 3:10 and 17, 10) “Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 17) But with whom was he grieved forty years? Was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?”

Moses, the great prophet of Jehovah, made a terrible mistake in his ministerial duty by shifting the glory of God unto himself. He pleaded with God to let him lead Israel onto the soil of the Promised Land. This is the account of Moses, the great prophet of Jehovah God. Deuteronomy 1:37 “Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.” Jeremiah 7:18-19 18)“The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. 19) Do they provoke me to anger? Saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?” You cannot worship idolatrous objects and expect God to smile on you. Does God’s anger affect Him adversely? Not in the slightest conception is He affected. He shows His grief for you to understand what awaits you in your decision to move yourself against divine will.

Does God’s anthropopathic nature include the feeling of hatred? Yes, of course, He explicitly exhibits hatred. Well, let us look at the definition of hatred: ‘1. A very strong feeling of dislike. 2. Prejudiced hostility or animosity.’ The first definition can be acceptable on moral grounds, all things being equal. But the second one tends, socially speaking, to be negatively ill-will driven. Can God be prejudiced in His judicial assessment, considering the facticity of His Omniscience?

Psalm 5:5-6 5) “The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 6) Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.” As the LORD, God, Creator, Owner and Controller of all things and beings, His laws remain sacrosanct forever. Adamic creation received dos and do-nots. He was very angry with the antediluvian age to the point of its extirpation; but He must preserve humanity to actualize Genesis 3:15, therefore, after keeping the eight antediluvian saints in Noah’s ark, it was time to destroy those who defiantly oppose the Rainbow Administration and of the Owner of all lives: as if He had not warned them of the impending annihilation. Noah preached to the dying world for one hundred and twenty years! God had been gentlemanly enough in warning them. Proverbs 6:16-19 16) “These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17) A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18) An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19) A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Only a man given to wickedness condones wrongdoings.

Romans 9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.” This verse, if not theologically understood, sounds harshly prejudiced. The Scripture prepared us to have understanding of what to expect from the matrix of Rebecca in Genesis 25:23 “And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.” Why would God decide to rely on an unborn Jacob and not the traditional first born, Esau? His Omniscience is a faculty that keeps nothing away from His knowledge.

Getting born again is strictly a conscious effort on the part of an individual. It is of a personal conviction that, as the word of God says, Jesus is truly the only Saviour of the world. A soteriological dependence on the finished work of Jesus is the sole belief requirement of Scripture. Get born again by saying this simple prayer.

Two Dimensions Of God’s Nature (Two)

2)            Does God have hands? Psalm 95:4 “In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.” Psalm 139:5 “Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.” Isaiah 53:1, “Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” I know that some will easily argue that these hands and arm of God are metaphorical. Now let us take a Scriptural journey to the heavenly assizes itself. Something phenomenal happened in the Book of Revelation Chapter Five. Revelation 5:1 “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.” Verse two, “And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?” And in verse 7, it reads, “And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.” I want you to see the profundity of this scriptural phenomenality. God the Father, seated as always, held, in His eternal hand, a scroll. It must be taken from Him for effectuality.

The hand that was worthy of recipience must be equally eternal. The eternality of worthiness cannot be found in any other save Jesus Christ. Another mind-blowing awesomeness of this celestial drama was that at this material moment Jesus, the man of Nazareth, had fused – in the hypostatic union – into the eternality of the Christ. Adamic elevation also stretched that arm in the empyrean assizes to take the scroll. God did not just decide to make Adam to look like Him anatomically, Jehovah had decided to elevate man to the status of God as well. Ponderous, if you see this phenomenon. In anthropomorphic terms, God the Father stretched His eternal hand, holding the scroll, and the eternality of Christ received the scroll.

Daniel 7:9 saw something, “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.” The LORD God first had hair on His Divine head before applying similar fine tiny strands in anatomical adornment on Adamic caput. Why did God not decide to make man a headless entity? If He had created Adam without an anatomical caput, mankind will be incomplete as far as ‘in Our likeness’ is scripturally concerned, in fact, the anthropopathic extension to Adam will suffer a setback. It is that head that accounts for “and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” of the same verse. Hallelujah!

Having human emotions is what accounts for God’s anthropopathism. That the LORD God does emote is not a tag of adumbrative weakness in display; neither does His individualism connote a regret over any divine misdeed. His emotional words are evocative of Divine sanctionary. Sanctioning the original sin, “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16). Abraham pleased the LORD and for his obedience 15)“And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16)And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17)That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18) And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice” (Genesis 22:15-18). The truth here is simply that God does not need us to be happy. The LORD God is the source of happiness: for does it not say, somewhere in the Divine documentation, “in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”?

A being of wisdom will ensure that God’s emotional discharge will bring favour of God and man to him. God wants us to be pleasing to Him. 1John 3:22 “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” The LORD God, most definitely, wants none destroyed. 2Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Metanoia (met-an’-oy-ah) is the Greek for ‘repentance’ and it means: ‘(subjectively) compunction (for guilt, including reformation); by implication reversal (of [another’s] decision).’ This is what Cain, Abel’s brother and murderer, refused to allow his divine encounter to produce, therefore, he continued in his perditionable life of the head of antediluvian miscreants. God’s will for man is a mark of salubrity. 1Timothy 2:3-4 3) “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
