Covenant Between God And Man (three)

3)            Isaiah 49:8 “Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;” and I want to believe that there is this probability that Isaiah 42:6 and this 49:8 make it look like the berı̂yth found in each of them seems to conjure an understanding that the covenant is between God and the Christ. Indubitable is the facticity that the Godhead did sit to determine soteriological actuality for Adam, before he is eventually created. It had been agreed between the Father and the Son, not without the acquiescent nod of the Holy Spirit, however. This is why the Church is God’s most phenomenal business venture.

Divine security has been established for her – the Bride of Christ. Is the Adamic being not in free moral agency existence? He must be given the opportunity of choice. So, God, no doubt, did ask Adam to be made to fall asleep for Divine surgical operation of taking a rib: a rib to build His Church. It must be the rib by his side for two reasons. The rib looks like the rainbow which stands as the object of the covenant – between God and Noah – of not destroying the world with water again (Genesis 9:13). It must be the rib: for Israel, of which there is no other nation closer to God, is ‘a prince by the side of Jehovah.’ “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)! There is a third reason from the Bible perception: Christians that will come from Adam will be God’s Bride.

Man, a free moral agent, must be taken into consideration, except you do not understand that free moral agency went into his creation. God, being the Gentleman of eternality, must acknowledge His own terms of creationism. On account of Noah’s free moral agency God did approach him, “Build an ark: for I must preserve you: my expensive treasure.” I wonder where Dr. Abel Damina plucked his idea that, “God never told Noah to build an ark!” To prove that the ark was God’s idea, the Bible records the architectural specifications in Genesis 6:14-18 14) “Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15) And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16) A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. 17) And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. 18) But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.”

Looking at Dr Damina going through eisegetical faux pas, what I see dancing on his mug most times is maniacal enjoyment. Abel Damina looks so glad spreading biblical didacticism à la esotericism. A lot of the people who blatantly engage in eisegetical teachings of Scripture are those who have sworn to remain in arcaneness of Satanism.

The Church is truly God’s business. Verse 18 quotes God saying to Noah, “But with thee will I establish my covenant.” God chooses one man of integrity to establish covenant; one to hold responsible for failure. Was it not the Woman who first tasted of the forbidden fruit? Who did God hold responsible for the original sin? Adam. He is the one in whose hand the Church is given as the priest, pastor and head. The covenant is soteriological and if salvific intent of Divinity has everything to do with the Adam, the recipient of salvation, it must culminate in the Incarnation of God as man, ergo, it is necessary to enter into covenant with Abraham – the father of Israel through whom the Saviour will emanate. Yes, it was determined by the council of the Godhead, but the end result applies to man, made in the image and likeness of his Creator, from whom an assent is required.

Zechariah 9:11 “As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.” Berı̂yth is the Hebrew for ‘covenant’. We see the first blood – from Adam’s rib – actually dropping on ground, waiting to stand in agreement with that of sinless Jesus, the Second Adam, from the Calvary event. We also see the blood of covenant pouring forth and sprinkled on the people of the covenant in Exodus 24:8. Jesus did not say, “I am come that ye might have life and life more abundantly,” for nothing. These words are words of the soteriology. They have the involvement of man’s acceptability. The seventy disciples left because they were too Israelitic to partake in what the LORD God has made holy. At the appointed time of the finality of the covenant only twelve of them sat to have the covenant of salvation with Him: which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty Jesus Christ. Who are the ‘prisoners’ mentioned in this verse? Through this covenant many people who are wallowing in sin and who desire to be born again will, by the reason of this covenant God entered with man, receive eternality of forgiveness of sin and their sinful nature will be replaced with the righteousness of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, the Saviour. Amen.

Covenant Between God And Man (two)

2)            Genesis 15:17-18 17) “And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. 18) In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:” and ‘covenant’ in verse 18 is berı̂yth (ber-eeth’): ‘a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh); agreement, divine ordinance with signs or pledges.’ Who, from the verse above, made a covenant with whom? The name ‘LORD’ is the Hebraic Yahweh i.e. I AM THAT I AM or Jehovah. Jehovah God, according to this verse, made a covenant with Abram. What is the transactional compact? “Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:” which took historical place between God and man. According to tradition, Abram, the one who brought the elements of sacrifice, should be the one to walk between the pieces of the oblation in the promise of not reneging in the covenant. God chose to be the One to do that: for divine safe keeping of the covenant He entered with Abram. The LORD is good all the time!

Genesis 9:8-9 8) “And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9) And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;” again the Hebrews for ‘covenant’ is berı̂yth. From where comes the understanding of Damina’s and Oyakhilome’s didacticism: that “God does not have any covenant with man”? Some verses in this chapter lay credence to the reason for this compact. Genesis 9:11) “And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 9:16) And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. 9:17) And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.”

Genesis 17:9-10 9) “And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.10) This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.” Berı̂yth shows that God did enter into a compact with Abraham. The circumcision, having an Old Testamentary economy of predominance, is a teacher of the New Testamentary disposition when the circumcision will no longer be of the flesh but very spiritual in that the Holy Spirit’s indwelling of the redeemed Church effects the much better circumcision of the heart. The circumcision, like the rainbow, is the token of compact between God and man: Christians.

Exodus 24:7-8 7) “And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient. 8) And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.” It is of utmost importance for the congregation to have blood sprinkled on it. The wilderness assemblage is the typicality of the eventual body of Christ that would come into being when the Golgotha sanguinary shed will be for anyone who will believe in the finished work of the cross.

Joshua 9:14-15 14) “And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD. 15) And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.” The Bible records that Joshua made a ‘league’ which in the Hebrew tongue is berı̂yth. What business transaction goes on between men is what went on between God and individuals like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Isaiah 42:6 “I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;” and again,‘covenant’, in this verse is berı̂yth. The prophet, here, brings to our knowledge Divine utterance he heard from God the Father, not to him (Isaiah), but to the Second Member of the Godhead in celestial discourse. Covenant and Light have salvific essence, ergo, properly Messianic. There is only one Messiah. Jesus is the Light that lights the life of everyone coming into the world. His Last Supper New Testamentary enactment, definitely, makes the entity of God’s call a person of righteousness in Jesus Christ. Through the Christ God’s covenant with man got an establishment.

Psalm 105:8-15 8) “He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. 9) Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 10) And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 11) Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: 12) When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. 13) When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; 14) He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; 15) Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Verses eight and ten have the Hebraic berı̂yth for ‘covenant;’ in verse nine the italicized ‘covenant’ is not an original Hebrew word: for it was put there by the translators for an easy understanding for English readers. These verses prove beyond doubt that God did enter into covenant with the children of Adam. Yes, His Divinity did!

Covenant Between God And Man (one)

1)            I watched two well-known pastors teach on ‘covenant’ and the seated congregation of each auditorium, no doubt, believed, as each pastor taught, “God does not enter into covenant with any man.” Hear one of them, “Rubbish! They’ve lied to you for so long. No Christian is in covenant with God. I’ve thought so, for so long. But, suddenly, in the Scriptures I’ve found that it’s hogwash,” says Dr. Chris Oyakhilome. This man has PHD in theology. If he had struggled with the fact that “no Christian is in covenant relationship with God,” then his doctorate degrees in theology should come under serious scrutiny. This same Oyakhilome taught that it does not constitute a sin for a Christian to smoke cigarette. Of course, there is no documented scriptural legislation against smoking, but we understand that God expects every child of the Divinity to take good care of his health. Any person of Christianity who decides to take a puff of the lighted tobacco does that, definitely, without the joyous consent of the Holy Spirit, Who dwells not in the lungs filled with the nicotine and tar. The Spirit of God dwells in the inner most spirit of the regenerated Christian, but the puff is sacrilege to His occupation of the redeemer’s person. A smoker is evidently suffering from unholy addiction. Will the Holy Spirit lead one to the habit of smoking? Is the circumvention of the Holy Spirit’s leading not tantamount to waywardness? Is waywardness not a missing of the mark of Divine ethical standards? Selah! This same Oyakhilome said that there is nothing wrong with masturbation. Please, search for my post titled: MASTURBATION (1st part); click on this link https://hoojewale.wordpress.com/2017/05/02/masturbation-1st-part … and it takes you there. The second person, whose eisegetical faux pas notoriety is unparalleled, is Dr. Abel Damina, and referring to Christians, roared, “We are not covenant children of God,” repeatedly. Damina rather believes, “we are in a family.” I have taken time to do some publications on Damina: “Dr. Abel Damina Taught That Enoch And Elijah Did Truly Die” and yet to be published “Didactic Incongruity With The Scripture” this link will take you to the already published https://hoojewale.com/2024/02/05/dr-abel-damina-taught-that-enoch-and-elijah-did-truly-die-1/.

An idiosyncratic eisegesis of Damina is: “God did not tell Noah to build an ark.”So, I present the Scriptural documentation found in Genesis 6:11-18 11) “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12) And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13) And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14) Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 17) And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.” Noah could not even claim to be the architectural designer of the ark. God chose the materials and specifications for the ark.

Looking at Dr Damina going through eisegetical faux pas, what I see dancing on his mug most times is maniacal enjoyment. Abel Damina is happy spreading biblical didacticism à la esotericism. The kind of people who blatantly engage in eisegetical teachings of the Bible are those under the employment of arcaneness of Satanism.

The first time we see ‘covenant’ in the Bible is in the eighteenth verse of Genesis chapter 6, “But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.” Who is the ‘I’, and who is the ‘thee’ of this verse? In the Scriptural discourse between God and His prophet, Noah, the ‘I’ is none other than the LORD God Himself. ‘Thee’ is in reference to Noah. Covenant always attracts two parties. The word ‘covenant’ is the Hebrew berı̂yth (ber-eeth’): ‘a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh); agreement, divine ordinance with signs or pledges.’ We, definitely, are in perilous times, as Paul of Tarsus puts it in the holy writ. Does the Mosaic couch not read expressly, quoting the LORD God, “But with thee will I establish my covenant”? These pastors must be reading other unauthorized versions of what looks like the Bible. Many there are, battling with ear itchy syndrome. The likes of Oyakhilome and Damina do not rest day and night sourcing eisegetical scratches to ease itches of unfortunate ears. Why is there not found in Scripture of Divine covenant with angels or other pre-Adamic beings? Divine covenant is only for humans, and for just one reason: the soteriological quiddity. Period!

When Adam sinned and fell spiritually, what did God do? The LORD God went into another compact with the Adamic reality. He showed Adam how to escape His fiery and righteous indignation. God killed two animals; blood which flowed to cleanse them was looking into the futuristic Golgotha substitutionary death. The skins made He into clothing of righteousness, prefiguring the eventual righteousness found only in Jesus.

I Will Build My Church (Five)

5)            Quite pedestrian domesticity it seemed when you read the Mosaic Couch of Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” A careful scriptural study of this verse evokes the phenomenality of scintillating architectural awesomeness. Let me explain what was transpiring in the mind of God. The word ‘good’ is the Hebrew ṭôb (tobe): ‘beautiful, best, bountiful, cheerful, fair, (be in) favour, fine, glad, good (deed, -lier, -liest, -ly, -ness, -s), graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, liketh (best), loving, merry, pleasant, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, (be) well (favoured).’ This goodness can only be found in Jesus. He said, “I Am the good Shepherd i.e. Yahweh.”

It does surprise me anytime I hear people say, “God decided to give Adam a wife because he was beginning to feel lonely.” How can anyone allow satanic inordinate stray of the mind to plant eisegetical innuendo inside his reasoning faculty? The word ‘alone’ is bad (bad): ‘(properly) separation; by itself, a part.’ That part of the verse should appropriately read, “It is not pleasant that Adam should remain in his separation.” Adam, at that stage of his life was a perfect, sinless individual, as far as his creation is concerned. God had already, in the council of the Godhead, decided what to do.

Adam could never have experienced an alien loneliness for many reasons. He was surrounded by a breathtaking environment, a divinely crafted landscaping excellence. The beauty of the sky, the variety of plants and very friendly animals of various sizes of intricate fashioning all held the lord of the earth in sheer captivating wonder to last years. Adam had not even espied the coolness attraction of large yellowed dusky sun. Neither had he gazed enraptured on the millions of twinkles of the night stars and the silver moon; how could he be suffering from boredom, so too soon, when he was not even up to the age of one earthly day?

Adam, in the light of Divine plan, was different from what the Church is to offer the LORD God: latria. The Church is a congregation of individuals, whose focus is on which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty, Jesus Christ. If Adam must exemplify Jesus, in whose stead he stood as the lord of the world, he must take on a help meet for him, a wife. Why do you think God rated the completion of Day Six, “very good,” and for other days, “good”? None of the accomplishments of Days One to Five met the excellent requirement of the Church.  When it comes to Divine interest, the Church remains His paramount enterprise. Because of this enterprise, God built a house for Himself, Garden of Eden, and put Adam and his wife there to the perfection of the latria on earth.

They should have gone the destructive way of Lucifer, his fellow fallen angels and his supportive demonic disembodied spirits, but for the show-stopping phenomenality intent of Divinity, the Adamic elevation of Eden must be saved from going to hell. Satanism could not comprehend why these two beings of the dust should receive Divine unmerited favour. Their case is like that of the Prodigal Son. He wasted divine bestowed resources – free moral agency –; his Creator reminded him of the abundance of love, riches and forgiveness in His possession.

The prodigious son returns and despite the fact that his return is mephitic pollution to the Father’s sacred environment, the impossible happens. The Holy Father wrapped Himself round the son, completely acquitted, all sinful charges dropped in the court of the Divinity. Where and who else can lay any charge on the discharged? Enabling legal enactments that were passed during the theocratic establishment of Israel were, unbeknown to the enemy of the Church, put in place for a way out for Christianity. Exodus 30:15 “The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.” This was done only once a year. It is the Divine insurance of the lives of those who paid this money, showing that the insurance policy of companies is biblically derived. God is the original and true Insurer.

In the Book of Matthew 17:24-27 the ‘tribute (money)’ twice mentioned in verse 24 is didrachmon (did’-rakh-mon): ‘double drachma, a silver coin equal to two Attic drachmas.’ Directing the question to Peter in the 25th verse, Jesus asked, “What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?” The term ‘custom’ is telos (tel’-os): ‘an impost or levy; toll, (i.e. indirect tax on goods);’ and ‘tribute,’ this time is not didrachmon; it is kēnsos (kane’-sos): ‘Of Latin origin; properly an enrolment (“census”), that is, (by implication) a tax. Census (among the Romans, denoting a register and valuation of property in accordance with which taxes were paid), in the NT the tax or tribute levied on individuals and to be paid yearly. (our capitation or poll tax).’

The last 27th verse has, from the lips of Jesus, ‘a piece of money.’ This is statēr (stat-air’): ‘a silver coin equal to four Attic drachmas.’ Four monetary terms of different values we see in this narrative. Only two of them have something to do with Christianity. The kēnsos, is the same as ‘tribute’ of Matthew 22:19; and telos, the same as ’tribute’ of Romans 13:7 are secular levies. The statēr is not different from the didrachmon: while the didrachmon or Jewish half shekel is paid into God’s house, for an insured protection, the statēr is as ecclesiastical because it is actually four drachmon, two each for Jesus and Peter. Four: because God wanted to create the phenomenal new species of intelligent beings. The statēr becomes one whole Jewish shekel. Jesus, the sinless Christ and LORD of the Sabbath, ergo, of the Church, needs not pay this half shekel. Wanting to save mankind, Jesus asked Peter to fish out the statēr, one piece of coin or one indivisible shekel, making us permanently inseparable with the LORD of glory. “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)! Paying the debt of sin for us makes us eternally guiltless in the celestial assizes. It was important that Peter will be the one to pay it into the ecclesiastical treasury. Peter means a small stone: for building. Christianity is a building of redeemed ones of Jehovah. Be smart, do not miss heaven. Become a Christian. Get born again.

I Will Build My Church (Four)

4)            God is a businessman Who does not lose tiniest fraction of His investment. Did the lazy and unfaithful servant of God lose the talent of money he would not even trade with? He returned it just as it was given to him. God does not, technically speaking, lose things. Every born again Christian has come back to life eternal, sustained and maintained by the Author of salvation. Colossians 3:3-5 3) “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:” and this fifth verse does not, in any way, imply what we must do to maintain this new birth. The word ‘mortify’ is the Greek nekroō (nek-ro’-o): ‘to make dead, to put to death, slay, to deprive of power, destroy the strength of; to deaden, that is, (figuratively) to subdue.’ While on the cross of substitutionary death, Jesus Christ took all the sins of Adamic commission and nailed them to the cross. In the same vein, Christians are also expected to deaden the urge to commit sin.

The enemy will introduce these acts of sinfulness, definitely, but children of God ought to live up to the regenerated life in Christ Jesus. Satan, I have always made it clear, works twenty-five hours everyday; he knows what buttons to press in the mortality of our flesh to cause us to sin against the LORD God. All we need to do is to remember and to use God’s word to counter demonic operatives. Render satanic advancement inoperative by ignoring inordinate fleshly propensities: this is how to mortify our members when Satanism tries to control our emotions. We must mortify our members, not for the reason of keeping our salvation intact, but to prove the essence of our soteriological actuality. The Author of creationism Who also fashioned salvation is the One Who preserves the salvation of mankind.

They heard the first teaching of Christianity from Peter on the Day of Pentecost and God did something: “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41). The Spirit of God, taking over as Jesus promised: they increased. Acts 2:46-47 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47)Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

God built His Church, His most treasured business venture and never to forsake her. Ephesians 5:30-31, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32) This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”

Is there any doubt that a sensible person will not tear off any useful organ of his being? God’s avowal of, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee,” is appropriately for the mystical body of Christ: the Christians, His eternal Bride. Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” For two reasons I see: that got the Saviour of the world stopping Saul, later Paul from hunting down Christians. 3) “And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4) And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5) And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks” (Acts 9:3-5). The first reason was to protect His investment: Christianity. The second is to anoint Saul as the twelfth Apostle, who would receive the responsibility to the nurturing of the nascent Church to maturity. Christianity must be enabled to ward off every intent of Satanism.

Screenshot

The essential reason for the rapture is to ensure the safety of Christianity when the Antichrist must, as a matter of justice, be allowed to have his day (one week or rather seven years). What is more, it will be unfair to allow the Church of the living God to remain on earth during the seven years, with the turbulence of the second half when Satan’s son must unleash brutality as never seen. The unfairness is that many Christians who know the God they serve and are full of the Holy Spirit will thwart the evil designs of Satanism. Jesus gave Christianity the power that surpasses that of Lucifer. Our steps are ordered by the King of glory, ensuring the words of Romans 16:20 “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” The word ‘shortly’ is made up of en (en): ‘in, by, with’ and tachos (takh’-os): ‘quickness, swiftness, speed, fleetness, velocity;’ and when put together it means: ‘in alacrity.’ Satan, who gave his son, the Antichrist, all his power, is bruised under our feet entachos (shortly), so, how would his dependent son fare, left alone with the righteous indignation of the Church? Selah! This is the Church of God’s building: 17) “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18). Amen.

I Will Build My Church (Three)

3)            I am sure of what Pastor Kumuyi will ask me should I say that Jesus also sported beards, as a man. It will not surprise me if he should look at me and ask, “How can you depend on the artistic impression of Jesus Christ to believe and make inference to beards coverings His cheeks?” and anyone who agrees with Pastor Kumuyi in this regard knows not the Bible. Prophet Isaiah expressly gave the description of beards covered cheeks of the expected Messiah in the vaticination of Isaiah 50:6 “I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.” Is this not a Messianic prophecy?

Who is this that Prophet Isaiah prophesy of, whose entire body received merciless whipping; on whose face Roman soldiers will throw disgusting spittle; and whose hair of His chin will be atrociously plucked? Strands of hairs that grow around the chin, are they not beards? Jesus, the Messiah grew beards. If it is wrong to grow beards then will it not be right to say that Jesus Christ committed the sin of keeping idolatrous beards? If Satan found nothing evil in Jesus, and the Bible makes us understand that He knew no sin, then it is okay to keep beards like Jesus Christ did – if one so desires. Selah!

I know that the reason Pastor Kumuyi teaches seriously on things like this is to pound holiness living in Christianity. Honestly, it is astounding that the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church majors on holiness and righteousness as if that is the only thing the born again Christian needs. When Jesus made the affirmation, “I will build my Church,” there is an addendum to that asseveration, “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it;” making it known to all and sundry that the Church He will build will be divinely protected by Him of Whom all things consist. The Church is made up of saved souls of Christianity. Colossians 1:17 “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” This word ‘consist’ is the Greek sunistaō (soon-is-tah’-o): ‘to place together, to set in the same place, to bring or band together to put together, organise; to exhibit; intransitively to stand near, or (figuratively) to constitute.’ The Church business is essentially God’s business.

Pastor Kumuyi, like so many born again Christians, believes that one can lose one’s salvific nature of Divine elevation of the Adamic regeneration. If Jesus Christ is our life, and we know that Jesus cannot lose His Divinity how can we, whose righteousness is Christ’s, lose our salvation which comes with the total package of righteousness, justification and eternality of divine zōē? In the beginning of Adamic fashioning, the Man of Eden was the lord of the earth. Who taught Adam what to do, was it not God? To very large extent, Adam was very intelligent. But having misused his free moral agency, he fell. With the sole aim to commandeer Adam’s lordship of the earth, the evil entity did his serpentine creep and pad in the Garden of Eden. Adam lost it! The gifts and the call of the Almighty are without repentance. Has the Word of God not made the asseveration of “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men”?

If justice, according to Romans 11:29 must prevail, then it is expedient that the hijacker of spiritual status in regards of Psalm 115:16 be reversed. The spiritual gladiator must be a man, ergo, the Second Man, Who is also the Lord from heaven, Who also happens to be the Author of creationism, must come through the Incarnation. “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)! The Creator took the headship of the earth from Lucifer’s grip, this time so that another Adamic error will not visit mankind again. God puts the regeneration of the redeemed firmly in His divine hands. How is this true? The Bible makes this clear in John 10:27-28 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” How clearer can the facticity of the soteriological “once saved always saved” be, considering “they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand”?

There, most certainly, is an unimpeded divine security of salvation. Who can help me reach out to Pastor Kumuyi that the life of Christianity dwells no more in the free moral agency of individual child of the Most High? It has moved into the custody of the Godhead. The Father instituted the call; Jesus covers every Christian in His righteousness, while the Holy Spirit takes eternal abode in the spirit realm of every child of God. This is how serious God treats the soteriology. Three times divinely insured is the zōē the born again Christian exists in. God is the Insurer; He has settled every financial commitment of the insurance; what can go wrong if the LORD God is the faithful One? Nothing! The Church is God’s biggest deal. Will any father allow anything evil happen to any of his one thousand children, especially if that Father has the triune essentiality of Omnipotence, Omniscience and an incredibility of Omnipresence? “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” These pastors do not understand that if anything should terminate the true salvation of man, Jehovah’s credibility is called to question! Not that it will amount judging God, but, “Why go into a business You cannot successfully consummate?” that will be on the lips of intelligent beings against the LORD God.

I Will Build My Church (Two)

2)            Can Pastor Kumuyi tell me that the ornaments of Genesis 24:22, “And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;” which Eliezer, Abraham’s chief servant, gave to Rebekah, the first of which is nezem, is an idolatrous gift from Abraham, the friend of Jehovah? If anyone hands over to me ring, bracelet and locket with the images of Baphomet, I will refuse to wear them knowing that the image is that of the erotomaniac god of The Illuminati. If it is idolatrous faux pas to own and wear ornaments which Deeper Life Bible Church preaches against, why would the Father of the prodigal son give to him, on his successful return, a ring? And why would Jesus teach “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you” (Matthew 7:6)? Is it not because there is nothing wrong with wearing ornaments as long as they are not associated with idolatry?

Understandably, we agree that the ring speaks of authority, but, the thing is, if it reeks of idolatry, then it becomes not permissible. It is quite disturbing that the venerable W.F. Kumuyi will teach his congregation to do everything to disallow the growth of mustache and beard, which the General Superintendent sees as idolatrous. The beard is a mark of dignity whether Oriental, Semitic or Western. Psalm 133:2 “It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;” the exegesis of which points to the dignity of the unity of the brethren, exemplified by the personality of High Priest Aaron, does not, in any way, exempt Aaron’s dignified beard. Why? His beard is God’s creation of Adamic accessory. Selah!

David dignified his personality with the masculinity of beard, otherwise there would never have been the account of 1Samuel 21:13 “And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.” If it is idolatrous, which god did David serve with his spittle soaked beard? If the keeping of mustache and beard are marks of idolatry, then we should not allow any hair on our body: eyebrows, eyelashes and the one of our domes from ever shooting out the least of millimetre jut. When King David’s emissaries were forced by Ammon newly installed king, Hanun, to have half of their beards cut off, why did they not shave everything off?

What message did David send to his poor servants? “When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return” (2Samuel 10:5). Pastor Kumuyi, prithee, what is Scripturally wrong with dignified growth of beards? The only divine instruction against keeping of beards is found in Leviticus 19:27 “Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.” Egyptian and Arabian people practiced the cutting of the hair around their heads, leaving a circular hairdo; this is done in worship of one the deity named Orotal; and some in honour of Bacchus. Egyptians and some Arabian people trimmed their beards at the bottom giving it the fashionable square shape of idolatrous worship. For these reasons God told them not to adopt styles of idolatry. Note that God did not tell them not to keep the beards or mustaches. It is the socio-cultural style of grooming beards which satisfied idolatry God warned us against, and not the natural growth of it. If it was wrong according to the word of God will Ezra, the priest, Biblical writer and a scribe of God’s protocol keep his beard? Does the Bible make a documentation that Ezra plucked his beards because God accused him of idolatrous wearing of beards?

If Aaron had beards adornment to his cheek, even when he was being ceremoniously anointed as the high priest, Moses too, I believe, sported beards and, of course, the masculinity of the upper lip mustache. David, a prophet, best king of Israel, so far, grew beards. He is, without smidgeon of doubt, God’s son and servant; and if he saw nothing wrong with masculinity of bearding culture, how can Pastor Kumuyi see it as a spiritual faux pas? Who was Ezra? According to International Standard Bible Encyclopedia Ezra was pre-eminently a scribe, and especially a scribe of the law of Moses. He is called “a ready scribe in the law of Moses,” a “scribe of the words of the commandments of Yahweh, and of his statutes to Israel,” “the scribe of the law of the God of heaven.” As early as the time of Jeremiah (compare Jer 8:8), “scribe” had already attained the meaning of one learned in the Scriptures, one who had made the written law a subject of investigation (ISBE). Ezra, who grew beards, was a prominent priest of the God of Israel and, definitely, knew what to allow growing on our body, as God’s covenant children. “And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied” (Ezra 9:3).

I Will Build My Church (One)

1)            Lucifer went after the Woman, for the actuation of execrable killing two birds with one stone: get the Church and eventually the Man, the head of humanity, into whose hands have been put the charge of the earth and its fullness. The Devil knew that the Church will earn him the latria of his concupiscent crave. Lucifer cannot appreciate true worship: he just wanted to rape the Church. When Lucifer understood, “I will make him a help meet for him,” and he saw that the creation of the Woman was actually a building: for the word ‘made’ of Genesis 2:22 bânâh (baw-naw’) means: ‘to build’ it was clear that the LORD God was about to consummate “I will build my Church.” Bent on depicting his unscrupulous incorrigibility, the Devil said to himself, “And I will do everything to thwart the success of Your Church.” Lucifer was bent on erection of a parallel church, especially, one which will attract much more of the earth’s set of innumerable ungodly people. If he must have his own church, it can only be sourced from creationism reality.

To the headquarters of Adamic suzerainty Lucifer meandered, employing the stealthy duality of creeps and pads into Eden. His unfortunate Garden of Eden conquest made the evil one the god of sinfulness of the world.

The New Testamentary Church of the living God commenced with official Apostolic headship that nurtured the nascency of the Church into adulthood. At the death the Apostles, pastors e.g. Timothy and Titus began to head each local assembly. The Devil relentlessly perfected his pollution pursuit of the Church. Under the Apostolic care of John, the last of the Apostles, Satan raised Cerintus to pollute the scriptural heart of Church members with his Docetism. Docetic catechizing of Cerintus targeted the debauchment of Christological quiddity. He taught people of the Church that the Christ is just a consciousness, with no real life. That the concept of Christ merely sits on a person and after it has achieved its usefulness leaves. He taught that the Christ came upon Jesus at the Jordan baptism and left him when He went to the cross.

This Cerintus met Apostolic resistance from John the Apostle who condemned Docetism in 1John 2:18-19 18) “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” He wrote in 1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:” and in another place, “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed” (2John 1:10).

Out of Rome the Devil reared his ugly, monstrous head in Roman Catholic Church, which I aptly call the biggest religious fraud on earth. Successive Popery leadership of this church hates to be corrected when Catholicism runs contrary to Scripture. Some fortunate ones got embarrassingly excommunicated. Others got thrown into gulags, while several who dared question the “Infallibility” of the Pope got burned alive at stakes. The success of Martin Luther led to Protestantism. As they broke away from the umbilical clutch of Catholicism, to establish their various new Churches, some retained unscriptural catechism, and some added to biblical establishment. Eisegesis has, with the goading of Satanism, become the order of ecclesiastical homiletics.

Reverend Chris Okotie, very careful not to dabble into faux pas of eisegetical anomaly, will tell you when teaching the Bible, “I cannot give you an Eleventh Commandment.” In one of the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, W. F. Kumuyi’s teaching on spiritual understanding of wearing earrings, he said, “They knew that those earrings had become like a god, demigod, goddess,” referring to Genesis 35:4. Pastor Kumuyi also taught, saying, “The wearing of mustache and beard could become gods.” Male members of Deeper Life Bible Ministry, headed by W.F. Kumuyi, for this reason, will not allow any jut of beard or the upper lip hair to show.

Let us go through W.F. Kumuyi’s teaching one by one. That they knew that those earrings were objects of idolatry is quite unquestionable. But the truth here is that it was not the fashion of wearing nose rings – which is exactly what the Hebraic word, nezem, means – it was because they were objects of Semitic idolatry. Talismans bear objects and or images of entities of ungodly worship. Remember Rachel sat on one of them when his father accused Jacob’s household of stealing from him. Genesis 31:29-30 29) “It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad. 30) And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father’s house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?” Those nose rings they handed over must be talismans of protection or divination, hence, objects of idolatry.
