Is Jesus Truly God? (4)

4)            Knowing full well that the Father is eternally seated, physically, on the celestial throne, Who is this One of Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden”? It is of Christ, “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3); and the term ‘express image’ is charaktēr (khar-ak-tare’): ‘The exact expression (the image) of any person or thing, marked likeness, precise reproduction in every respect.’ What does charaktēr reveal to us?

This enables us to come to real terms with: “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). Heis (hice), the Greek for the neuter ‘one’, has contextual definition of ‘essence’. What does being ‘one’ with the Father emblematize? The definitional ‘essence’ means that everything the Father is, the Son is as well. The Son – the Second Member of the Godhead – cannot be the Author of creationism if He cannot perform it in the fashion of bârâ’ (baw-raw’) i.e. ‘create out of nothing’, if He cannot bârâ’ then He is not the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. The cloud by day, and the fire by night; is it a lifeless phenomenon?

Exodus 13:21-22 21) “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22) He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.” The Father never comes physically away from the throne. Who is this LORD that went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and also, by night in a pillar of fire? It can only be the Second Member of the Godhead, the Light and the Saviour of man. Exodus 33:9-10 9) “And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. 10) And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.” Ask yourself why Israel worshipped the cloudy pillar? Not farfetched, the simple reason is that it is the manifestation of the LORD God: worthy of worship.

Would Moses not have chastised them for paying spiritual homage of idolatry if the LORD God was not in the cloudy pillar? Shâchâh (shaw-khaw’) is the Hebrew word for ‘worshipped’ and it means: ‘to depress, that is, prostrate (especially reflexively in homage to royalty or God).’ Jesus said, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad” (John 8:56). Did Abraham meet face to face with the LORD God? Its documental occurrence is in Genesis chapter 18. 1) “And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 18:13) And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 18:17) And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18:27) And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:” yes, Abraham spoke face to face with the LORD Jesus in His preincarnation manifestation. Abraham, indeed, rejoiced to see the day of the LORD in Genesis 22 encounter. Whose backside did Moses see in Exodus 34? Could it be that of God the Father, the Holy Spirit or of God the Son? Selah!

Joshua 5:13-15 “And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? 14) And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? 15) And the captain of the LORD’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.” Would the son of Nun, the leader of Israel, who took over from the great Prophet Moses, bow in adoration before a soldier, no matter how highly placed? Nay, Joshua, like every true child of Israel, knew it when they come in physical contact with the LORD, their God. This could neither be the Holy Spirit nor the Father.

If there is no scriptural record of the descent of the Eternal Father on the terra firma, Who did this in 1Samuel 3:9-11“Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10) And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. 11) And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.” Only in Genesis 1:3, 17:5, Matthew 3:17 and Luke 9:35 we hear God the Father speak. The many other times we read of the voice of the LORD God is that of the Christ or the Holy Spirit.

There is no doubt at all that most of the Old Testamentaryphysical encounters with the Divinity is actually with the Second Member of the Godhead, Jesus Christ, the Almighty Redeemer. Amen.

3)            What does “Before Abraham was, I am,” connote? The verbs, ‘was’ and ‘am’ differ as far as time is concerned. ‘Was’ is ginomai (ghin’-om-ahee): ‘to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be;’ having to do with time – of Abraham’s birth. But ‘am’, eimi (i-mee’), is: ‘to be, to exist.’ The existence of eimi is understood when you look at “I am”, ego eime in Greek, the name God told Moses He bears forever: I AM THAT I AM. The existence of “I AM” is the timelessness of eternality. Jesus says His days of existence is eternally before anything was created, therefore, He is God – uncreated. How can Jesus say, “I am come to give you life and life more abundantly,” if He is not the Author of creationism and of life?

Outstanding in phenomenality is what Jesus said of Himself in Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Not only the first and the last Greek alphabets are spiritually attributed to the Christ, all other letters in-between alpha and omega are attributive essence of Jesus, ergo, without Him none can bring thoughts of Divine association to the Father successfully. Jesus, just like the Father and the Holy Spirit, is the Author of beginning of the eternal past; He is, as well, in perfect, Lordship control of eternity to come. Jesus, in Revelation 1:8 called Himself, “Lord”, which is not different from Adonai, Adon or Yahweh of Hebraic, Old Testamentary couch. The epithetical ‘which is, and which was, and which is to come” does speak volumes. Jesus Christ is the Lord of the time of Adam – which is –; Christ has been before the creation of time – which was –; Jesus will continue to be LORD God in the eternality of the future – which is to come – and this is ponderous.

Jesus is the LORD of lords and at the same time, the King of kings: for the Kingdom of God is absolutely in His hand. And to cap the quiddity of His Deity, Jesus actually calls Himself, “The Almighty!” Do a Scriptural fact check and the amazing outcome will be that, throughout the Scriptures none other, save God, has the attributive ‘Almighty’ which is pantokratōr (pan-tok-rat’-ore) and means: ‘he who holds sway over all things; the all ruling, that is, God (as absolute and universal sovereign).’ From this definition, Jesus is the pantokratōr in the sense of Omniscience, Omnipotence and Omnipresence, ergo, very God of very God. Hallelujah!

It does not occur to many Bible reading minds who the Jehovah Personage of the Old Testamentary Order is. The Elohîym Godhood does not have Ten, Twelve or Four Gods. The LORD God decided, before the creationism, to exist in Three distinct Persons constituting One worshipped God, called Jehovah. This Divine decision was taken so that plurality will not be a concept that natural creation will possess before the Most High God does. Secondly, it is for the actualization of the soteriological quiddity. The Omniscient God knew man would need salvation, ergo, One of Them must be seated on the throne. Two of Them will supervise the terms and conditions of the soteriology. In the accounts of the First Book of the Pentateuch, the first words of attribution go to none other than the First Member of the Elohîym: “And God said, ‘Let there be Light’.” This “Light” is the uncreated Entity of John Chapter One. He is the True Light, shining into the lives of all that come into the world simply because He is the Creator of all: for it says, “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). This is Jesus, the Second Member of the Elohîym. They are not more than Three, so, Who is the Third?

The answer dwells in the opening verses of the Pentateuch. Genesis 1:2 “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” As the Co-Creator, the Holy Spirit was seated like mother hen – from the Hebraic definition of ‘moved’ [rachaph (raw-chaf’): ‘to brood’] – to actuate creationism intent. The Holy Spirit is the Third Member of the Elohîym. Of the Two Members of the Godhead, only One of Them makes physical manifestation of the Elohîym – Jesus Christ.

Is Jesus Truly God? (2)

2)            Hebrews 1:6 “And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.” The angels, like Adam, know who their Creator is: ergo, He must receive worship which is regarded as a sole preserve of God the Creator. In Revelation 7:10-12 verse 10 it reads, “And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” Occupants of the celestial order know who should receive the latria, and they dare not give it to an undeserving, created person. The saying, “Salvation to our God” means that God alone is the author of the salvation of man; and this salvation is procured for and given to them through the Lamb, as their propitiatory sacrifice. Sōtēria (so-tay-ree’-ah) is the Greek for ‘salvation’.  Sōtēria is so encompassing in its definition; It is not just the Christian sense of deliverance from punishment and admission to eternal life; its meaning properlyis‘safety, deliverance, preservation; welfare or prosperity; victory.’ The soteriology is a total package when the prayer of salvation is truly said, from the heart. Salvation is the work of the Members of the Godhead, needing no human or angelic maintenance. Amen.

Jesus, most certainly, coauthors the salvation that redeems us from the punishment of sin. Colossians 1:12-18 12) “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18) And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” The Holy Spirit silently works in divine conjunction with the Father and the Son; and this must be pointed out just in case someone asks, “Where and what is the soteriological role of the Holy Spirit in these Scriptures?”

Most definitely, it must take the unschooled in Scripture to say, “Jesus never called Himself God.” So, I must take you through God’s protocol, the Bible, to prove that He did call Himself, “God.” John 5:23 “That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”Let us look at the word ‘honour’ which is timaō (tim-ah’-o): ‘to estimate, fix the value; to revere, venerate.’ The reverential treatment one gives to the Father is aptly due to the Son, according to Jesus. How can Jesus share divine honour with the Father if He is not very God of very God? Selah!

For uttering the words of John 10:30, this was the position of the Jews who understood the wordings of His asseveration: John 10:33 “The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” Did Jesus make an asseveration of His Deity? Yes, so He did in John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” You may wonder, “What’s the big deal in being a shepherd?” This is the big deal. The minute Jesus uttered the words of John 10:11, He raced their Jewry minds to Psalms 23 and 80. The opening verse of Psalm 80 reads, “Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.” Read this Psalm carefully and none needs to intimate you with this Shepherd of Israel. Who will a psalmist call on in prayer? He, absolutely, is the One of Psalms 5 and 55. Who is this Shepherd of Israel? Isaiah 40:11; Ezekiel 34:23; John 10:14; Hebrews 13:20; 1Peter 2:25 and 5:4 will tell you it is the LORD God of the Bible. Who led Joseph like a flock? Is it not the One and only Jehovah of Psalms 77:20 and 78:52; Isaiah 49:9-10 andIsaiah 63:11? It is the LORD, the Holy Spirit,God, Who dwells between the cherubim, the covering for the Ark of Covenant situated in the holy of holies (Psa 99:1; Exo 25:20-22; 1Sam 4:4; 2Sam 6:2; 2Ki 19:15; Eze 1:13; Eze 10:4).

Psalm 23 commences with “The LORD is my Shepherd;” where the ‘LORD’ is Hebrew   יהוה Yehôvâh. Now, I believe you understand the reason why I said that the utterance of John 10:11 would have raced their Jewry minds to the Psalms. If Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd, then He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and of the entire world. Yes, Jesus, the Son of man,did come out of Mary in the annals of human history; but the Christ, dwelling in Him is ‘which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty;’ Who has no beginning and no ending, the Creator!

Is Jesus Truly God? (1)

1)            Whether Jesus Christ is truly, very God of very God is strictly a theological matter. I have, very often, heard some people argue, “Jesus never called himself God;” so let us take a good trip through the Christianity corpus of revelation, the Bible, also known as the Scriptures or the Word of God, to, kind of, demystify the true person of Jesus Christ. The fourth word of the first sentence of the entire words of the Bible is the Hebrewאלהים  which has the translation ‘ĕlôhı̂ym (el-o-heem’) is defined as: ‘Gods, magistrates or mighty ones;’ It is the plural of ‘ĕlôahh. The salient question will simply be, “Is the Christ one of the ‘ĕlôhı̂ym of Genesis 1:1?” Let the infallibility of the Scriptures do this justice.

We know that the latria is offered strictly to the Divinity seated eternally on the celestial throne. The latria is seen given to God the Creator, the First Member of the Godhead, in Revelation 4:4; 4:8; 4:10 and 19:4. It says explicitly in Deuteronomy 10:17 “For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:” well,interestingly, is the understanding that the first ‘God’, the second ‘God’ and the third ‘god’ in Deuteronomy 10:17 have the same Hebraic ‘elôhîym albeit the third is in reference to idols and idolized entities. Incredible but true is the account of Revelation 5:8 “And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.”

What will doubters of the Divinity of the Second Member of the Godhead, Who is also the Lamb of God, say to “fell down before the Lamb”? Piptō (pip’-to) is the Greek for ‘fell down’ meaning: ‘to be prostrated, fall prostrate.’ The word ‘before’, enōpion (en-o’-pee-on) is: ‘in the presence of.’ What does this act mean? It means that while the Eternal Father, the First Member of the Godhead, sits on the empyrean throne of the Rainbow Administration, the closest creatures to the throne, four awesome angels together with the twenty-four elders, turned to Jesus and performed the same latria (offered to the Father) to Him, the Second Member of the Godhead! Indeed, the Father and the Son share the celestial worship. The worship of verse eight led to that of verse thirteen, “And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” This culminated in the act of the fourteenth verse, “And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever” (Revelation 5:13-14).

Is it possible that the four angels around the throne of Majesty together with the twenty-four elders will ever prostrate before a created being in worship even where the Father is seated? Will the host of heaven bow in adoration before Jesus if the Christ is not Deity? Not forgetting the definitions of Elohîym, let me show you something in Romans 14:10-12 10) “But why dost thou judge thy brother? Or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11) For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Elohîym means: ‘Judge, Deity and mighty or strong One.’ Jesus Christ being accorded the latria in Revelation 5:8 is seen in the above verses seated as the Judge, in heaven.

This makes Jesus Christ One of the Elohîym of the opening verse of the Bible. Philippians 2:5-11 reads, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” The word ‘form’ is morphē (mor-fay’) and means: ‘the external appearance.’ Jesus Christ, Whose appearance is exactly of the Father, ‘did not think it as something to brag about’ is what thought it not robbery to be equal with God of verse six is saying. He that is very God of very God took upon Himself the likeness of a servant for the actuation of the soteriology. Is God alone not regarded as the Saviour; how does one explain the fact that Jesus also is the Saviour of the world? Simple: Jesus is wholly Divine, and is one with the Father!

TASTY SATANISM (Nine)

9)            Subtle importation of teachings into Scripture with the sole aim of satanical scratch of syndromic itchy ears is unfortunately what these teachers are knowingly or unknowingly deep in perpetration. All that these people do is make mention of Jesus and the unwary lot get their minds swindled: with the subtle use of the Scripture. Now, we are of the understanding that mere calling of the name of Jesus and burst into tongues (which can be deceptive) are not proofs of a good teacher of the Word. All Lucifer needs is for someone to start the unscriptural teaching and Satanism will provide that which makes the eisegesis very, very tasty in the ears of those suffering from Pauline ear itches. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2Timothy 4:3-4).

                Now let us look at the word ‘itching’. It is the Greek knēthō (knay’-tho): “to scratch, tickle; desirous of hearing something pleasant.” Akoē (ak-o-ay’), the Greek for ‘ears,’ has the definitions: ‘The sense of hearing. The organ of hearing. The thing heard. Instruction, namely oral. Of preaching the gospel. Hearsay, report or rumour.’ In the days of the Acts Of The Apostles, going from Peter to John and then to James and afterwards taking another trip to Paul did no harm per se. They all taught from the same Person of the Holy Spirit, God the Father and bearing absolute witness in the name of Jesus. But the thing is: right from the Church of God rose Cerinthus, an agent of Satanism, who hoisted a fabled Christ of Gnosticism.

                It is of this Cerinthus John wrote: 18) “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us” (1John 2:18-19). They that teach wrongness of Scripture do so at the behest of Satanism, believing in the pollution of the Scripture. The absolute truth is that none can pollute the express Word of God; it is impossible. God’s holiness is beyond pollution. What they actually succeed in doing is to pollute their very minds.

                I want to pose this to those who continue to follow the apostles of experiential Impartation, Encounters and Anointings. Which experience is truly rewarding, is it the one with fallen Adamic preachers – the one you get from creatures of fallen Adam – or that of Pentecostal Upper Room? What we fail to apprehend is simply that it is the ophidian pad and creep that informs us that the Holy Spirit’s indwelling is not enough. The Devil does this to get you on pilgrimages to encounter the demonic power of his prescription. More Church people – unfortunately – are operating under the influence of Satanism than that of the Holy Spirit’s. You do not know which Bible preachers are operating with the power of Hindu talisman.

                They are called Baba’láwo (elder of the cult) in the Yoruba land. One of the capabilities of Baba’láwo is to make incisions on the lower lip or the tongue. This is demonic empowerment of crowd control. And I believe we know that such power can easily be a tool for mesmerism. The Baba’láwo, an Ifá Priest, is versed in the preparation of fetish concoction that enables those who wash their faces with it to see the future and past events of people; and with this they predict, accurately, the events of past and the future. The initiates into Ifá oracle of Yoruba traditional religion are given bànté – apron tied to the waist – exactly like the type of Freemason initiates, as a source of power.

                New Age adherents seek to obtain psychic vision and clairvoyance through development of The Third Eye. Anyone who is not satisfied with biblical protocol gets introduced to an undiluted pure evil of Satanism. This is what you peddle when you think and teach that the promised power of getting born again is not enough. The Devil who gives such spiritual assistance makes sure they also get stupendously rich, thereby, deceiving millions; especially, when miracles (often fake) get performed by them. So, why do you think Joshua Selma will say, “The Lord told me, ‘This light that came from Me to you, everywhere you go to preach there must be someone in that meeting that the light must come upon their destiny”? This is exactly what those who are wallowing in the syndromic attack of Pauline ear itching want to hear. They will easily fall for it, line, hook and sinker! Be wise, be careful who you give your God-given ears to. If they do not teach strictly from the Bible, they have been commissioned to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Selah!

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.

TASTY SATANISM (Eight)

8)            I want to quote Selma, “I learnt in the spirit that you don’t have to talk to speak. That the language of God is not English, Greek or Hebrew. The language of God is light. The light that left Jesus came into me. How that encounter did not kill me is a question I will ask Him when I go to heaven. The Lord told me, ‘This light that came from Me to you, everywhere you go to preach there must be someone in that meeting that the light must come upon their destiny.’ Jesus said, ‘That was the true light’.” Apostle Joshua Selma himself said, “Now, understand that every time we teach those things, the Bible is the foundational pattern for our spiritual growth. When we share these supernatural experiences it’s not to create a passion in you higher than your love for Scripture.” So, the question here is, “Where in the Scriptures does it say that the language of God is light or that you don’t have to talk to speak?”

                In Genesis 1:3, it reads, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” The word ‘said’ is ‘âmar (aw-mar’): ‘to say, speak, utter.’ What about the documentation of rapport between God and His friend? Genesis 17:3-4 “And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 4) As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.” ‘Talked’ in this verse is dâbar (daw-bar’): ‘To speak, declare, converse.’ Verse three is rendered quite pointed, “and God talked with him, saying,” using both “talked” and “saying” the expressions of vocality. Exodus 20:22 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.” Dâbar is the Hebrew for ‘talked’ in this verse proving that the LORD God performed the act of utterance issuing from Divine vocal cord articulation.

                Let us look at a ventilation that occurred between Divine Visitant and Saul of Tarsus. Acts 9:5-7 5) “And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6) And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. 7) And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.” The word ‘said’ of verse 5 is epō (ep’-o): ‘to speak or say (by word or writing).’ One is very likely to infer that there is a contradictory element in Acts 9:7 and 22:9. Acts 22:8-9 “And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest. 9) And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.”

                There is a slight difference between the ‘hearing’ of chapter 9 verse 7 and the ‘heard’ of chapter 22 verse 9; while the first ‘hearing’ is made of two words: akouō (ak-oo’-o): ‘to be endowed with the faculty of hearing, not deaf;’ and men (men): ‘truly, certainly, surely, indeed.’ The ‘heard’ of chapter 22:9 is simply akouō without the element of ‘certainty’. So, what is Paul saying in the twenty-second verse? Those with him heard the sound of speech, but they did not hear the words of the Lord with an attendant understanding. And repeating the incidence at another time, it was in Acts 26:13-14 “At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14) And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”

                Methinks Apostle Joshua Selma said God does not use English, Greek or Hebrew to communicate? How come we read of Paul’s documentation, “I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” I just hope he will not, in Abel Damina fashion, stick to his phony gun, arguing that that “saying in the Hebrew tongue,” is translators’ manipulation.

Subtle importation of teachings into Scripture with the sole aim of satanical scratch of syndromic itchy ears is unfortunately what these teachers are knowingly or unknowingly deep in perpetration. All that these people do is make mention of Jesus and the unwary lot get their minds swindled: with the subtle use of the Scripture. Now, we are of the understanding that mere calling of the name of Jesus and burst into tongues (which can be deceptive) are not the proofs of a good teacher of the Word. All Lucifer needs is for someone to start the unscriptural teaching and Satanism will provide that which makes the eisegesis very, very tasty in the ears of those suffering from Pauline ear itches.

7)            What is Apostle Joshua Selma looking for, running helter-skelter looking for fresh anointings, when it is scripturally clear that the Third Member of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, remains the Christian’s chriō? Will there not be a resultant contamination of a Christian’s life if a fallen Adamic anointing gets spread or mingled with that of the Holy Spirit’s? Selah! Let us dig again into Scripture where it reads, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him” (1John 2:27). The Bible, and no other protocolary, remains the only Magna Carta of every minister of God. Why should we jettison the inherent Spirit of God and jet off to seek human aid, when the matter is strictly God’s Kingdom business?

                The phrase, ‘the angel of his presence,’ (Hebrew, פניומלאך פ male’âk pânâyv, ‘angel of his face,’ or ‘countenance’), means an angel that stands in his presence, and that enjoys his favor, as a man does who stands before a prince, or who is admitted constantly to his presence (compare Pro 22:29).’ Joshua Selma makes it crystal clarity that as Jesus, his ultimate encounter, He gave him the gift of ‘angel of His presence’ and a huge angel showed up – making Two entities, Jesus and that huge angel. This clearly places a personality distinction between the Lord Jesus and the angelic gift, right? Isaiah 63:9 “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.”

                And the angel of his presence saved them – This angel, called ‘the angel of the presence of God,’ is frequently mentioned as having conducted the children of Israel through the wilderness, and as having interposed to save them in Exodus 23:20-21 20) “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21) Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.” An angel that must be obeyed and who has pardoning power cannot be a created being. Let us look at one of the encounters Moses experienced going through the wilderness in Exodus 33:13-14 13) “Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. 14) And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” The Hebrew for ‘presence’ is pânı̂ym (paw-neem’): ‘person; the face (as the part that turns); used in a great variety of applications (literally and figuratively).’

                The LORD God’s Presence is, from the definition of pânı̂ym, the physical Person of Himself. This LORD God that spoke with Moses and gave His acquiescence to let Moses see His face is the manifestation of the Second Member of the Godhead, Jesus Christ. We surely need some verses of the Bible to drive this facticity home. Exodus 14:19 “And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:” and this same Person is the One of Exodus 17:6 “Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.” The prophet reminded Israel of Jehovah’s walk with Israel, “And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out” (Isaiah 48:21). And this is the identity of the Angel of His Presence: 1Corinthians 10:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2)And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3)And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4)And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

There is no difference between the ‘Angel of His presence’ and the ‘pillar of fire and cloud’. Let us read Exodus 33:9-10 “And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood [at] the door of the tabernacle, and [the LORD] talked with Moses. 10) And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand [at] the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man [in] his tent door.” Ask yourself why Moses wrote, and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man [in] his tent door”? The One in the pillar of cloud is the LORD God, the Second Member of the Godhead; Israel knows the LORD her God.

                Apostle Joshua Selma said he was in Reinhard Bonnke’s crusade and when the Preacher was about to drink water and minister Water Baptism of the Holy Spirit, his eyes opened and for the first time he saw the physical manifestation of the Holy Spirit. It was a bird, bigger than a huge auditorium, moving and the wings had silver linings. The Spirit told him, “The union of the spoken word and the movement of the Spirit is what births the miraculous.” It was not a sermon; he actually saw it. This made him to conclude, according to him, “I have found it. I got something in my life.” Now, I understand that John the Baptist did see the Holy Spirit in John 1:33 “And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.” If John saw the Holy Spirit, what stops Joshua Selma from perceiving, with his naked eyes, the Holy Spirit? What he claimed to have heard, “The union of the spoken word and the movement of the Spirit is what births the miraculous;” can easily serve as manipulative tool of unsuspecting minds of itchy ears. Inspirational speakers have warmed their sweet talks into the Church and this kind of statement from Selma is what trips nominal Christians.

6)            The first time we see ‘anoint’ in the Bible is when we read, “I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar” of Genesis 31:13. ‘Anointedst’ is mâshach (maw-shakh’): ‘to smear, spread a liquid (as consecration).’ Anointing sets apart to make holy a deity or for religious ceremony. That is what Jacob was reminded of in Genesis 31:13 by God. The next anointing is performed in Exodus 28:41 “And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.” Moses was instructed by the LORD God to so do in the institutionalization of the Aaronic sacerdotalism.

                The LORD God, after that began to deal personally with Aaron, the high priest; neither did we read anywhere in the Bible that Aaron went about looking for fresh anointing from other people. But what do we see and hear these disappointing men of God practice? They encourage people of Christianity on embarkation of anointing search from various teachers of the Bible, a lot of which are truly not genuine ministers of Jesus, unfortunately. Is it not disappointing that they do not know that, as born again Christians of the New Testamentary Order, our anointing is more potent, surpassing that of Moses, Elijah and Samuel? The Holy Spirit did sit upon them in those Old Testament days; these New Testament days, the Trinity dwells eternally in us – we have become His Tabernacle. It says, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

                In the New Testamentary order we read in Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” The Holy Spirit that anointed Jesus is also the same Person who baptized Christianity for the establishment of the Church. Is there anywhere in the Scriptures we see Paul seeking anointing from Barnabas, James, Peter or John? He never had to, why? When Jesus called him into the apostolic office, he was equally consecrated for the ecclesiastical work. Hallelujah!

                2Corinthians 1:21-22 21) “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22) Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” Paul used the pronoun “us” not “me”. Let us look at the Greek definition of ‘anointed’; it is chriō (khree’-o): ‘Enduing Christians with the gifts of the Holy Spirit; to smear or rub with oil, that is, (by implication) to consecrate to an office or religious service.’ Paul wrote this Book to Christians in Corinth. What is Paul telling us here? The Apostle and the laity have the anointing – that set apart from other people – from God the Father, Who also sealed us with the Holy Spirit. The word ‘sealed’ is sphragizō (sfrag-id’-zo): ‘to stamp (with a signet or private mark) for security or preservation (literally or figuratively); by implication to keep secret, to attest.’ And the word ‘earnest’ is arrhabōn (ar-hrab-ohn’): ‘a pledge, that is, part of the purchase money or property given in advance as security for the rest.’ This is what anointing that is of Christianity is all about.

                The seal of our Christianity has the eternal stamp of the Holy Spirit; the official roles of Christianity come with the seal of the Spirit of Jesus; and the same Person of the Holy Spirit attests to the Divine pledge and security of God’s ministers. What is Apostle Joshua Selma looking for, running helter-skelter looking for fresh anointings, when it is scripturally clear that the Third Member of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, remains the Christian’s chriō?                 The second Satan sees one warming up to a veering off the Scripture of his projection, he begins to give one many reasons to adhere to the projections of Satanism. Lucifer will never let you know his malicious intention towards you. Secretly, in a pad and a creep, he comes to steal, kill and destroy. Quite unlike Satan, God publishes His entrance. Almost all the prophets announced the Incarnation. Adam and his wife knew when He approached Eden. John cried through the streets of Jewish land proclaiming the eventual Incarnation. But, Satan? He does not let you know his ways. Why? Lucifer is evil.

5)            I am quoting another Apostle, Joshua Selma, who said this, “One time I started having encounters with the saints of old. Now, understand that every time we teach those things, the Bible is the foundational pattern for our spiritual growth. When we share these supernatural experiences it’s not to create a passion in you higher than your love for Scripture. These are only systems that support the things that Scripture has said. I remember I started having encounters with many of those you call Generals. And they will come to me and share mysteries. And some of them will share with me where they failed in their own generations. I remember in one of these encounters a middle height man came to me and the light that beamed from him; and when we were done talking, he turned, and on his way going, and I looked at him and I said, ‘You did not tell me your name, Sir.’ And he looked at me and turns back and said, ‘Paul.’”

                Very apropos it is that the Bible, according to Joshua Selma, is the foundational pattern for our spiritual growth; also of impeccability is that supernatural experiences should, definitely, not create a passion in us higher than our love for Scripture. I, however, do not share the belief in the so-called Generals of the Lord’s Vineyard. I do not have any problem with a remark of jocundity that tags them as Generals. Now if you refer to them as Generals in the Lord’s Army, what do you call, Peter, James the great, John and Paul, the true Apostles of the New Testamentary order of the Church Age? Are all Christians not fellow labourers in the vineyard of Jesus? 1Corinthians 3:9 “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” Philippians 4:2-3 “I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. 3) And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.”

                Philemon 1:24 “Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.” Whether it is ‘labourers together’ or ‘fellowlabourers’ it has the same Greek sunergos (soon-er-gos’) with the definition: ‘companion in work, fellow worker.’  The greatest Minister of Jesus in Acts of Apostles, Paul of Tarsus, who took the gospel from Jerusalem to Europe, taught most of Christological mysteries, and also wrote about three quarters of the New Testament calls other Christians he got groomed for the Lord’s vineyard work ‘fellowlabourers’. In his own right, Paul of Tarsus is definitely Christianity Generalissimo. Paul, however, called himself fellowlabourer.

Can a true Christian operate spiritually without the mantle?

                Tagging some prominent ministers of God ‘Generals,’ especially those who delve into wrong teachings, in these days of end time approach, tends to aggravate the syndromic itchy ears that makes the likes of Joshua Selma go searching for the living and dead labourers in the vineyard to tap anointing. Why do I need Paul, Peter and or John to tap anointing from them when I have already in me the Eternal Father, Son and the Holy Spirit as eternal Dwellers? Are the indelible scriptural couches of John, Peter and Paul not available to me in the Bible? But those suffering from itching ears will travel from pillar to post, going on pilgrimages to plunder anointing from living Generals; and ransacking tombs of dead labourers. I heard and saw Orokpo saying, “Mantles are to be snatched from those who have them…because none of them want to willingly give them!” See what they have turned Christianity of the Lord Jesus into? The question I want to ask is, “Can a true Christian operate spiritually without the mantle?” These teachers make one believe that mantles and oil of anointings can replace Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 

                This is another submission of Joshua Selma, “I am a product of many anointings, I am a product of many encounters. Years ago, I started searching for those who carry the mantle of the Generals, because I felt there was a burden upon my life for this generation. And I wanted to become system of preservation and continuity of the programme of God. And one of the people l met began to tell me a story: that before Smith Wigglesworth died he called Lester Sumrall and said, ‘Do not die with this mantle. When you are old, find young men and transfer this grace upon them.’ And when he laid hand on me, he said, ‘You will become a continuity of these graces.’ This is like a relief; it has come from one person to the other. The chiefest of all encounters was when the Lord Jesus Himself appeared to me. Light in its brilliance came from Him to me. He did not speak with His mouth, but He was talking to me. I know what He was saying. The Lord spoke to me and said, ‘Son, today I give you My presence as a gift.’ And I saw this huge angel. And the Lord said, ‘This angel will walk with you, he is called the angel of the LORD’s presence.’”

4)            I remember when I told one RCCG pastor that the G.O. of The RCCG, E.A. Adeboye, was completely wrong when he told members of his church that God showed him his house in heaven and that it is as big as a stadium. The said pastor quoted John 14:2-3 to give Scriptural acceptance to his point. All I asked him was, “Which is bigger, a house or a mansion?” and his swift answer was, ‘mansion’. My next question threw God’s servant off balance when I asked, “How come the comforting words put mansions – so many of a supposedly much bigger thing – inside a house – supposedly smaller one? His acquiescing response was, “Haa”!

                Let me continue with this exegesis by asking you to note that the definitions of ‘house’ and ‘mansions’ do not, in any way, hint on mental magnitude of the two things. While oikia (house) is in reference to ‘home or family’ – very subjective –, monē (mansions) is ‘space, room or given place’ – shows distance. Hetoimazō (het-oy-mad’-zo) is the Greek for ‘prepare’, meaning: ‘provide, make readily available.’ The word ‘place’ is topos (top’-os): ‘any portion or space marked off, a spot (generally in space, but limited by occupancy.’ What Jesus promises to do is that, “In My Father’s Home or Family, where there are many Rooms or Spaces, I Am going to Make Available a Spot for you, members of Christianity, My Bride; that where I Am, there you Christians, children of God, shall be seen.”

                The next salient question should be, “Where is the traditional place of occupancy by Christ in heaven?” The Bible has the answer. Psalm 110:1“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” Mark 16:19 “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” When Jesus was asked if He was the Christ, “And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven” (Mark 14:62). Christ is duly seated, majestically, by the side of the First Member of the Godhead, where all eyes of heaven dwellers see Him. So, Orokpo, where is the location of the Zion of your eisegetical concoction – in heaven?

                So many of internet preachers love to raise phantasmagoric dusts of unscriptural catechism, delving into things alien to the Word of God. Michael Orokpo, in teaching the Prophetic Office, said, “The power of the prophet is not today. A prophet is supposed to grow until he becomes one of the elders of heaven. The Elders are the custodians of the secrets of God. A prophet is an elder in Zion. Moses actually travelled beyond the age of man because when he said ‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,’ there was no man. How can a man tell you how man was created?” Orokpo’s supposedly growth of the prophet into the maturity of celestial elder is found nowhere in the Bible. Are they, according to Orokpo’s teaching, the custodians of God’s secrets? If that is what they are, can we say or agree that God has two receptacles of repositories: the elders keep His secrets while Jesus banks all treasures of the Father’s wisdom and knowledge?

                From Orokpo’s inference, the elders should know the day of rapture! Now speaking of Zion, does an elder gallivant between or among the compartmentalized zones of heaven? Michael Orokpo should know that it is very easy to know how Moses knew that God created the heavens and the earth: God told Moses. Simple! Exodus 24:4 “And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.” Moses did not “actually travelled beyond the age of man,” as Orokpo maintained. The LORD God told Moses, and Moses wrote down the story of creationism. Moses needed not embark on an astral or terrestrial projections to know the mind of God. Exodus 25:8-9 8) “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. 9) According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.” The celestial pattern was projected to Moses’s vision. He understood what was shown to him and he began to make the documentation of God’s intent. Exodus 34:27 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.” God spoke to Moses. He heard, understood and proceeded towards the Pentateuch documentation we read in the Bible. Very soon these Prophets will be teaching patients of itching ears on “The 3, 7 or 10 steps to make it possible to travel beyond age of man for spiritual gladiatorial power.”
