This blog is my mess… I mean, my thoughts, feelings, beliefs, activities, interactions, experiences, etc….I hope you get the point. I will do my best not to mention my business, although as an alternate way of getting “Me” out there, this is pretty great. Mostly though, my life is crazy. Weird and amazing things happen to me every day and I want to share it with ALL of you. Of course I doubt there will be many who will read this, but at least I am putting it out there!
A little bit about me: I am a(mMble)-year old, single mom of a WONDERFULslightlycrazy[Like her Mama]BEAUTIFULextremelydefiant FUNNYactslikesheis21&TALENTED 19 year old young woman. Her name is Roegn, sometimes Rome for short; short is not what she is though. She is 5’7, and wears size 11 in women’s shoes. I am 5’4″ – and she never lets me forget it. I still call her Smalls though; that was her nickname growing up. I am the adopted mama of Violet, a 21 year old young lady, transitioning into adulting. Let’s see… I am a daughter of the most high God, saved by grace through faith alone. I am a bibliophile, epistemophile, cafephile, and a lover of the National Football League.
I am legally disabled due to a genetic form of Degenerative Disc Disease, along with spinal stenosis, and fibromyalgia, which I was lucky enough to be diagnosed with when I was 26 years old. I have had two spinal surgeries and in between God saved me. I mean that physically as well as spiritually, my spine had collapsed and no one figured it out for ten months. I should be a quadriplegic, or so said my neuro-surgeon. I was also recently diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia, on both sides, also known lovingly as the ”suicide disease” because of how painful it is. Saying all of that, I have not been able to work for over a decade.
My life has it’s fun moments; not “fun” like it used to be, but it is a crazy kind of fun. I think I am the good kind of crazy though, not the “forgot to take my medication” kind of crazy. (Because I don’t forget to take my medication.) Now I am not saying that particular type of crazy is necessarily bad; I am simply explaining, defining, discerning, etc.
We have great hopes of adding a podcast to this blog. We are looking to create a way to build community, both online & in our own areas across the country. We are leftist, Democrats, who want a Blue Tide Rising this November… on that note, I am wearing blue until November in order to foster conversation.
I called this blog a “mess” because that is what it will be; a crazy conglomeration of the weird and interesting stuff that is my journey in this world. Roegn said I should change my site mantra from “keeping calm & carrying on” to “It’s a shit show, but it’s our show.” I hope you enjoy it, maybe learn something from it (occasionally), but above all I pray that you will be blessed in some way by it. So much has changed in my life, I need to take advantage of the time I have.
Talk soon… ~Čėçēłįå
