All’s Fair In Love and Christmas by Sarah Monzon

Hello Peoples! We have one cold wind chill today, so I buried myself in blankets and finished reading this charming book. I liked it. It’s warm, cozy, fun, cute and it’s a Christmas story. So much heart! ❤ It’s safe for everyone to read.

All the characters are fun. Mackenzie, our heroine, is timid. Jeremy is a great guy. And! The two are competing for the same promotion at their workplace. And Keri is a great friend to Mackenzie. I highly recommend!

Happy Reading!

Hello Peoples ~

It snowed here yesterday for several hours. My phone tells me it’s 26 degrees right now. Rick and I are watching football games this afternoon. 🏈🏈🏈 When one is recovering from a medical procedure, one doesn’t do much. Rick has been wonderful. He does the dishes and the laundry and makes the bed. There are just things around the house that I need to do that have been bugging me. I am doing so much better though; it won’t be long now. 🙂

I didn’t blog much in October, but I hope to improve in November.

1/2 Mile ~

Hello Peoples! I am gradually getting back into the swing of things again. I’ve been walking 1/2 mile every day. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but when you are recovering from a serious procedure it’s a great start. I’ve also been doing exercises cardiac rehab gave me to do. Rick tells me I’m ready to start walking a mile. Mmm. 🚶‍♀️ I’m not sure about that. I have been getting outside more and more. The weather is wonderful during the day. In the mornings it’s cold. Everything is so autumnish. Colorful leaves are falling, pumpkins are on doorsteps and in yards. Autumn is my favorite time of year. I’m still in the house a lot though. We watched football yesterday. I am happy to say, the Broncos🏈 won. They’ve been having a difficult time of it.

What am I reading? Good question.

A Hope Harbor Novel

Oh my word! I finally finished reading, Windswept Way. I think I’ve been reading this book since the 1st of October. It’s a good book with a great message. I have been reading slow recently.

Of course, when the reader reads this series, we meet up with old friends. Without a doubt, Charley, an artist and taco maker, is my favorite character in all the books. He’s wise and accepts people as they are. All the visitors to Hope Harbor are hurting in some way, or another and meet up with our old friends in the story. In this book, Ashley and Jon find hope, healing and love. I might add, Jon has a great dog, Daisy.

I thought this was a calm, gentle story and that was refreshing. I liked it. Please, read the series in order.

Happy Reading!

Really 6!

Good morning Peoples! It’s dark outside. I think it’s raining. It rained all day yesterday. The rain is welcome.

I went to the doctor yesterday and received good news. All looks good. YAY! I do have a little bit of a problem with one thing, but we’re working on it. It was a good doctor visit; however, do I really need 6 medical people examining me and asking me questions. That’s right 6! They came in the examine room, I was waiting in, one at a time. 🙄 I refused the resident. I didn’t need 7, 6 was plenty. I am VERY thankful for the good news, and no one stuck an IV in me. 😣 I really do not like IV’s. I didn’t have any injections of any kind. YAY! I’m still moving forward. But I do really appreciate these people. They saved my life.! No matter how long I do live, they still saved my life.

Have a great day.

Please pray for Israel.

Good afternoon.

Hello Peoples! Rick and I just finished watching the Steelers beat the Ravens. I thought it was a tough game. 😮🏈

The weather is great here. It’s chilly in the mornings, but it warms up some later in the day. Autumn is my favorite season. We did have some much needed rain recently.

I’ve been attending a cardiac rehab class two times a week. I don’t really care for it. The exercises are great, but they make such a big fuss over me. I get tired of the fuss. The class is doctor ordered, so I will finish it. It will be over around the 1st of November. I’m recovering from the medical procedure fine. It has certainly been an experience. Rick is a good nurse! 😉
