Major Update...

Wow! A whole lot has happened in the last three weeks...little Wyatt was born, we had our first family photo shoot and Josh and I have moved back to Alabama. The photo shoot was with the fabulous Kelly Willette, who also did my maternity photos. We are just thrilled about how they turned out. She really is such a talented lady, that Kelly. To see a few of those pictures click HERE.

For now we're staying with my mom until we can find an apartment in Montgomery. Josh will be stationed down there at Maxwell Air Force Base for 10 months while he gets his masters degree. We were so blessed to get such a fabulous duty station right after the birth of our first child. It will be wonderful to be so close to family and to have the freedom to travel around and see the rest of the family for a while.

Wyatt is doing great and getting bigger every day. He's still waking up about every two hours each night, but we're getting used to it. We did have a three hour stretch last night--Josh and I thought we'd gone to heaven. Amazing how babies change your perspective on what a lot of sleep is. The general consensus is that Wyatt is currently favoring his mother...although he does have his father's feet. And from what we've been told he still has a shot at being the spitting image of his father, since babies change so much.

We also want to say a big thank you to all of our family and friends who have kept us in their prayers during this crazy time in our lives. We so greatly appreciate it and truly believe that it is what has gotten us through.

Welcome Wyatt Timothy Keever

On July 10th at 10:07am, we welcomed Wyatt Timothy into our lives! He was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 21 inches long. He came out cooing and making the sweetest noises my ears have ever heard. Meeting our son was truly a moment I will never forget (it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it). We just thank God every second for such a beautiful, healthy and happy little boy...and can't believe how blessed we are for the Lord to have given us such an amazing gift.

We were surrounded by family as we went into surgery and then afterwards during our hospital stay. My mom hung around for a few more days and helped Josh and I get settled into our new roles as parents. I have no idea what we would have done without her and we were so sad to see her go. Luckily we'll be moving to Alabama next week and Wyatt will get some more "Nana time" very soon.

We thank you all for the many prayers and sweet thoughts you have been sending our way. Can't wait for everyone to meet the little guy!
