We woke up Sunday morning to say goodbye to Trey. Oh yes...after the night we had, he and Chelsea had to get up and leave at the crack of dawn. I think they only got about three hours of sleep before heading off to the airport. Glad it wasn't us!
To be honest, the next two days in London are a total blur...we did some shopping, site seeing and lots of eating. I do remember that Josh and I went to my favorite pub and made our last dinner there a very traditional one. Josh had fish and chips, while I completely devoured a chicken and mushroom pot pie. So yummy...I wish you could get food like that here in the States.
Day eleven started early as Josh and I made our way to the airport. We left my mom and her friends, Roby and Bernis, behind. They still had two more days to enjoy the city...
It was a long haul back to Ohio, but man were we glad to see our babies' faces when we landed. While it was so much fun to have such a cool vacation...I just hate leaving Wyatt and Rea for so long. They're my little sidekicks and I almost feel lost without them!

London: day eight
Day eight was a good day. Josh and I went back to Harrod's and the surrounding area to do a little shopping. We got a few things for ourselves and a bunch of stuff for everyone back in the states. After grabbing a bite to eat we headed back to the house so that we could go with everyone to the USA house.
We took a cab to the USA House and did a little shopping. They had tons of team USA gear and other merchandise. We got the kids the cutest Ralph Lauren stuff there. But the main purpose in being there was to watch Trey speak to a bunch of kids from around the world who had been a part of the McDonalds "Champions of Play" program. It was a really cool experience to watch Trey speak to all of these little ones who admired him so much. Also neat to see him standing on stage with that big ol medal around his neck!
Josh and I actually scooted out of the event early...as soon as Trey was done speaking. We needed to run home, get a shower and head out because we had plans with an old Navy buddy of Josh's. Mark and his family have been stationed in London for about three years now and we had made plans to meet them for a drink at a local pub.
We spent a couple of hours catching up with Mark and Debra and then we had to book it across town to the RedBull party. It was at the RedBull house just south of the Tower Bridge. Trey's RedBull people had a great party set up...free drinks and food. Not to mention that we got taste three new versions of RedBull that haven't even been released yet.
While we were there, Chelsea and I somehow got roped into playing some crazy game. Before we started playing it was agreed that the loser had to go into the RedBull recording studio and sing a song which would then be posted on YouTube. Of course Chelsea and I lost. So we performed "Don't stop believing" by Journey like a couple of professionals. Really we were awful. But it was definitely a good laugh. The video is floating around out there somewhere but thankfully it isn't on YouTube yet. After we finished our song Trey played the guitar a little and we all did what can only be referred to as a group karaoke. Trey's friend Josh even did some interpretive dance for us. Haha. My Josh has video of that...as soon as I get it from him I will definitely be posting it. It was pretty much the funniest thing I've ever seen!
When things at RedBull were winding down, we were told that we could go with Trey to the Budweiser party. Trey was to be a VIP there. We show up...after trying forever to get a cab...and realize that this party is going to be a bit fancier than we anticipated. We were all wearing jeans and sandals, everyone else was wearing booty shorts and sky-high heels. Oh well. Trey walked the red carpet and then we all went in. There was a bit of confusion as to where Trey's table was so he eventually just claimed one. They had it all set up with all kinds of drinks and libations for us to enjoy.
I felt a little out of place there...I mean, I'm a mother. I don't even remember the last time I was in a club. And this place might as well have been a rave. It was entertaining to say the least. We didn't leave until 2am. Sadly the Tube was closed and we had to cab it all the way across town.
Trey, Chelsea, Josh and I shared a cab back to the house. I'm pretty sure when we got in that no one had trouble falling asleep. I doubt I'll have a night like that again for quite some time.
