My illustrations for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farm House are coming along.  I have the first stage of eleven and am working on number twelve today.  So far Train Spirits is Clyde’s favorite.  I am so glad the publisher loves the cover illustration.  I am excited about how it will look with the text.  Hope to hear from her soon.

Well, my main computer woes are over for now but my Instagram feed on my phone seems to be locked.  I have no idea what to do with it.

When our young friend was helping us with our computer he was appalled to learn our computer is five years old.  We updated it a few years ago but that doesn’t seem to matter much these days.

Clyde said one of these days if a gadget lasts six weeks it will be time to have a big party – a retirement party.

Sounds about right to me.

I am so glad I can use our computer again. The virus was caught in the back up system so we just had to replace that.

While the computer was being scanned I was working on a lap top that came real close to becoming a frisbee hurtling out the window at 90mph.

 

I kept an eye on the scan and it finally finished and there were instructions on what to do next.

I ran to the next room and told Clyde the computer was giving us instructions.

He gave me instructions instead.  Shoot the computer and put it out of our misery.

That was tempting.  Good thing we don’t have a gun.

Well, my disastrous error that let a virus in on our computer has proved to be fatal. We are trying one more thing to try to remove it but I think it is new computer time which is a big problem right now as I have a deadline for illustrations for Clyde’s book and I have to have aperture to adjust my images.

The thought of getting used to a new computer has me real uptight.  Oh well, things will work out!

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

One of the computer commercials I can relate to now is of a little boy that wants to smash his computer with a hammer like Grandma does.  Now that I have to use a lap top  until we buy a new computer I am ready to get that hammer.  The screen size keeps changing even though I control hyphen it.  The copy paste option doesn’t work a lot of the time and I don’t like having my hands at this awkward position.   Argh!!!!!

On a lighter note, Clyde and I both got a kick out of a cartoon on Facebook.  A woman is told by her doctor that she must spend an hour a day on a tread mill so she takes a nap on it.  Love it!

I can’t believe the mistake I made yesterday.  I was using the reverse image search and it was taking a long time when I noticed a sign that said to download so the searches will be faster.

Now a search engine that is called Search has taken over and we are pretty sure it is an awful virus so I am typing away on a laptop.  A friend is going to help us out tomorrow with our computer.

I know better than to click on that sort of thing!  Oh well.  Live and learn or is it learn and then forget the lesson.

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

Many years ago when we moved into our house Clyde planted apple trees, cherry trees, and a peach tree that died after one great harvest.

It has been great having organic fruit and I have made a lot of pies.  Now Clyde can’t eat apples or cherries and Alan only likes juice.

This year we are covered up in apples and since we don’t spray them they have a lot of bad spots so I don’t give them away.  I just try to eat as many as I can.  They taste great!

The wild life problem has gotten very bad with ground hogs roaming all over the yard and birds pecking away.  Clyde said the ground hogs are not just eating off the ground, now they are climbing the trees.

He said if I wanted apples I may have to wrestle a ground hog and swat a lot of birds before I get any.

 

I’ll let Clyde get the apples.
