I have never been a good sleeper. It usually takes me quite a while to get to sleep no matter how hard I work during the day.

My husband goes right to sleep.

We used to go to bed at the same time but now he goes to bed a little earlier than me. I always like to hug him when we get into bed but since he is already asleep these days I stopped doing that.

Then I remembered how easily he gets to sleep and decided to just wake him up.

He doesn’t mind at all and goes right back to sleep after a few minutes. Must be nice!

I can’ believe I am just now getting to my blog.  Yikes, what a day!  Too much to do.  I know am like a broken record.  I don’t know the meaning of the word bored.  Okay, I know the meaning but it certainly does not apply to me.  I managed another Youtube that I will upload on Monday, cleaned up, practiced the piano for church tomorrow, went to the store for a bunch of things we really can’t do without, fixed dinner but did not do the dishes yet. 

Made some brownies, spent quite a lot of time on Youtube looking at friend’s Youtubes and am just two away from four hundred followers! 

Also sent an email to a patron that wants me to do a number of commissions for him.  Also uploaded another painting in my Simple Variations Collection on my website. 

Did I mention all the dishes I did before they piled up again?  I am one busy artist every day of the week!  Please check out my latest Youtube above and my latest upload on my website below.

I am really looking forward to starting another Blue Ridge Parkway painting of Wintergreen!  We don’t ski but we do like to stay there for short vacations.  Beautiful place, great food and gorgeous overlooks!  This one will be an evening mountain view with an intensely colorful sunset!

I am so pleased to be starting a new Kendall Expressions painting in oils!  I usually do these in acrylics but my two favorite ones were done in oils so I decided to get back to very expressive oils.   This one will be in my Kendall Expressions Gallery and Stages of my Art Gallery.

I just put up the first stage and I think it reproduced very well in spite of all the problems I just had with my camera.  I hope there is nothing wrong with my trusty camera.  Anyway, check out the first stage!

Life with The Bird and Word Man – Clyde Kessler

Our house is very dry right now.  Clyde bought a new vaporizer that he hasn’t set up yet because he thinks he will need to buy a table for it so it will be easier to manage.

 

Mean while I am reminded of one of those Maxine comics that I saw on Facebook today.  Maxine says that age may have slowed her down but not shut her up.

Clyde and I don’t usually snore that much but with the dry house I can definitely say age has not shut us up.  I can’t believe all the wierd snoring noises I hear from Clyde and he says I am sawing quite a load of wood.

I think that vaporizer will be set up soon or we will have to sleep at opposite ends of the house.

Beautiful day for the Radford Christmas parade!  We will be sure to see the great floats so I need to work double time so I can get out of the house.  Yesterday I actually left for two hours to do some Christmas shopping!  Who says a workaholic can’t take a little time off?

Life with The Bird and Word Man – Clyde Kessler

As usual Clyde is out Bird Watching.  He is still uploading records to Cornell.  It is cold out there but nothing stops him.  I am so glad he is careful about hunters this time of the year.  He is in a State Park today that does not allow hunters except on rare occasions and then the park is closed.

When Hunting Season comes around I am reminded of a Muppets skit where two hunters are bragging about what they shot.  One said, “I shot me a tractor!”  The other one said, “Well, I got me a dump truck!”  Love those skits!  No offense to hunters!

Life with The Bird and Word Man – Clyde Kessler

I  don’t have anything from The Word Man today, at least, not anything that I can print.  He sure does come up with some great political comments but we would both like to stay alive.

There are a lot of funnies about Christmas trees on Facebook right now!  My favorite has a picture of a sad looking dog in front of a fallen tree.  The caption reads, “Thank goodness you are home.  The tree fainted!”
