This movie is based on a children’s story that they modified into a story about two teenagers.
It has a great cast including Ben Kingsley, Sissy Spacek, William Hurt, and Amy Irving.

We got our new printer going after a lot of problems and it printed out a color sample.
Fine, but when I try to print out a color photograph, it defaults to black and white and we have searched all over the settings and can’t figure it out.
Oh well. We may have to call in a young friend once again.

When our friends arrived last night they were excited about seeing a Hitchcock movie and liked Vertigo very much.
Since they like Hitchcock I was surprised that they had not seen it.
Anyway, lots of fun. I do love a wide range of movies. Now I am thinking about the next one.

A while back we noticed signs of mice in our laundry room and our basement.
Clyde set up traps and caught one of them. We still have the traps up but have not seen any evidence of mice.
I guess one of them sent out a warning call to the others. Hope that is the end of that.

Our small town has a day before Halloween for little tricker treators to get treats at the downtown businesses! My son loved that when he was little.
When I was a kid I often made my own costumes. I loved doing that which makes sense for a creative child.
Anyway, I love Halloween and wish everyone would behave and have fun!
Also love the leftover candy. Such a sugar junkie!

Life with a writer. Today is grocery day and I still have not made my list.
I asked Clyde to remember I will need some plain yogurt and he offered to get the list going.
Of course, he could not resist a little word play. Never thought of it before but yogurt could be Yo, Gert, short for Gertrude.

As I have mentioned many times I love my husband’s quirky sense of humor. You may groan but I loved this.
Don’t remember the name of the program but a Park Ranger was in hot pursuit of a man that shot a deer without a license.
Why would a deer need a license?

After all my tantrums with my new camera I found the instruction book.
I have a box for items that go downstairs and one for items that go upstairs. I am cleaning out a closet and those items covered up the book.
Anyway, I think I am getting used to the new one for now but it is great to have the book.
Now lets see what else I can lose.

The other day when I put my egg in the pan it was a little pink. I went downstairs to my farm boy and asked if I should eat that.
I always ask him these questions since he did grow up on a farm.
He said it was all right and was just the indication of an embryo forming and he had eaten eggs like that before.
When I went upstairs it was not a little pink, it was a lot of pink so I threw it out.
Not eating a pink egg.
