This page chronicles my adventures in sewing, a new dimension to my creative crafts. This page will include favorite books, pattern ideas and links to help you sew too. I am not a math brain, my biggest obstacle to sewing, so if I find anything that helps me with pattern instructions and measurements, I will share the links with you.
I got a wonderful sewing machine for my birthday, a Brother Innov-is 40. It is the perfect machine for the beginner sewer like me. To read my review of this machine, read the post here titled “My First Brother …”

- Burda Style – this site is trying to be like Ravelry for sewers. Once you join, you can upload project pictures and details and find patterns. It still has a million yards to go before it is a Ravelry, but it is a start.
- Pattern Review.com – I read tons of reviews on various models of sewing machines before purchasing my Brother machine. This site has sewing patterns, reviews, articles and more. It is just a bit overwhelming to navigate their crowded web pages.
