Hi everyone! We are currently seeking students, departments, campus, and local community to be part of the 50th UC Davis Powwow planning committee. This year's Powwow is scheduled to happen on Saturday, April 4th, 2026. The purpose of Powwow is to gather, learn, engage and celebrate the traditions and cultures of Native American and Indigenous people. Powwow Planning Committee Meetings will occur every Friday from 2:00 pm- 3:30 pm for the Fall Quarter. Committee will be hybrid to work with folx availability. The planning committee will support in the following areas: California Native Night Head Staff Event Flow Activity Booths for campus community/Alumni/Children, etc. Performances Reviewing craft and food vendors Volunteer Logistics Swag Outreach and Marketing and so much more.... CCC MasterClass Program Interest Form
In partnership with Lewis Hamilton, the first MasterClass Community Ambassador, MasterClass will distribute 200,000 free annual memberships. Through this partnership, Lewis and MasterClass hope to offer new ways of learning and boost students’ opportunities to advance their knowledge and their futures. The communities of focus are low-income families, BIPOC youth, and current or formerly incarcerated individuals. The Cross Cultural Center has been a recipient of this grant program. Our goal is to provide opportunities for self-directed learning that will encourage identity exploration and cultural humility. This work includes encouraging compassionate community spaces that provide opportunities for critical consciousness in the choices we make as a community. A hope is that these learning opportunities will enhance UC Davis student and staff experiences while they engage with others in our community.
