Doudou Nganga graduated from fine Arts in Kinshasa (Republic Democratic of Congo). He obtained a grant to further his studies in Spain, in the University of Valencia (2003). As soon as he arrived he started his pedagogic endeavour with a definite aim: to bring the African culture closer to the Western world. With this artistic perspective he has shared his message through singing, percussion, dancing within the musical projects he initiated: Doudou Nganga World Music solo project (LP Lokuta 2023), Doudou Nganga / Eric Simone Duo piano voice (an intimate although powerful afro-jazz approach), Doudou Nganga Afro-jazz quartet. With Doudou Nganga The Band, Doudou mixes sounds with lyrics in Lingala (Congo main language with French), West African percussion and voices from Central Africa. The harmonies offer an Afro-jazz with blues, World and Latin music nuances, a deeply rooted music conveying a soulful message with good vibes only as a motto.
