A Behavior Partner changes this dynamic. We are trusted adults with intelligence, maturity, and life experience — not too young, not too old — who step into everyday situations and break the cycle of conflict. Because we are not parents, children are more willing to listen, share, and accept guidance.Our role is not babysitting, not therapy, and not just friendship. We are partners with one mission:

2. Who do we help?

We work with children, teens, and adults facing behavioral challenges and unique needs. This includes kids struggling with routines, emotions, social skills, or technology/gaming overuse; individuals with autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, or intellectual disabilities; young adults preparing for college, work, or daily living; and adults with behaviors like hoarding or unsafe animal collecting. Families often come to us after years of daily conflict and frustration.

3. How are sessions different from therapy or tutoring?

Therapists focus on treatment plans. Tutors focus on academics. We focus on real life. Our sessions happen in everyday moments — at home, at the store, in the community — where negative behaviors actually occur. Instead of worksheets or clinical tasks, we guide routines, practice social skills, and model emotional control right where they matter most.

In-person meetings may happen at home, in a library, at a store, or during community outings — anywhere real behaviors and routines occur. The goal is to practice skills in natural settings where they are most needed.

Every person is different, but most families notice changes within the first few weeks. Early sessions focus on building trust and small routines. As consistency grows, skills become habits, and behaviors begin to shift. Full independence is a longer journey, but steady progress is visible along the way.

The Grow4ward Method is a four-stage program designed to turn daily challenges into lasting independence:
	1.	First Steps – building trust, comfort, and identifying challenges.
	2.	Foundation – strengthening daily routines, emotional regulation, core life skills, and financial literacy.
	3.	Growth – applying those skills in real-world situations with structured support.
	4.	Independence – preparing for long-term success in education, work, relationships, and daily living.
Unlike therapy or tutoring, the Grow4ward Method works in everyday settings — homes, schools, stores, and community spaces — where real behavior change happens.

7. What is the role of the family?

Families play an active role in the Grow4ward Method. Parents and caregivers are invited to join sessions, share input, and practice strategies alongside their child. The goal is not just to help the client but to give families tools they can use every day — reducing conflict at home and building consistency. When families reinforce the same routines and skills outside of sessions, progress happens faster and lasts longer.

8. Do you offer virtual as well as in-person sessions?

Resistance is common at first. We can start casually — for example, meeting in a natural setting or being introduced as a “family friend” who joins everyday activities. This unintentional approach lowers defenses, so the child doesn’t feel pressured. Over time, as trust builds, we transition into guided support while keeping the partnership relaxed and approachable.

10. How do you measure progress?

Progress is measured in everyday life, not just on paper. Families, teachers, and community members give feedback on how routines, emotions, and behaviors are improving. Partners in Progress also learn to self-evaluate through guided conversations (“What was easy? What was hard? What would you do differently?”). At the end of each stage, a new plan is created to reflect progress and set clear next goals.

11. Do you work with schools and teachers?

Yes. When families request it, a Behavior Partner can attend teacher–parent conferences, observe in classrooms, or coordinate with school staff. This ensures consistency between home and school. We help teachers understand the child’s strategies, and we model for the child how to follow rules, manage transitions, and communicate respectfully in a school environment. If parents want us to become active school volunteers, they must assist in the process by submitting the required applications and background checks so our trusted adults can be cleared to volunteer. Families are also responsible for providing any documentation the school requires for us to attend conferences or classroom sessions.

12. Are your Behavior Partners background-checked and drug-tested?

Yes. All Behavior Partners are fully vetted before working with families. This includes:
	•	A Level 2 Background Screening through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Clearinghouse, which checks FBI, FDLE, and national abuse registries.
	•	Drug testing prior to providing services.
	•	Verification of references, experience, and certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid). Families can be confident that only trusted, screened adults are assigned.

13. Do your Behavior Partners have CPR and First Aid training?

Yes. All Behavior Partners are certified in CPR and First Aid, so they are prepared to respond safely in case of emergencies at home, school, or in the community.
