Don’t give these people your personal info if you’re not gonna get a job with them, they won’t discard it. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I get that they’re an employment agency, but it doesn’t give them the right to withhold your stuff. I was told to fill out an application with my personal info, my home address, phone number, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Once I told the lady assisting me that I was no longer interested, she told me to leave my application, & that she would discard it. I didn’t want to leave it behind since it did have ALL my info, & since she said she would ”shred” it, I found it weird that she just placed it on her desk. I didnt want to be a “Karen,” but I found it all very weird, so I asked to see her shred it. Immediately her mood/face changed, & she went to “shred” it. She threw my application (again, that has all my private information) in a box cabinet. Not a shredder. I expressed that I thought she said it was a shredder, & all she said was that a “shredding company comes by & shreds the paper for them.” I ended up asking for my paper back because this was all weird & new to me & all she said was that she didn’t have a key to the box my application was thrown in. I just don’t know why I couldn’t take it home to discard it myself since my address, phone, & most importantly my SSN was written on that paper. That paper became MINE once I wrote my SSN on it. Very suspicious, you can never be too careful. I would appreciate it you proved me wrong.
