Intersectionality of Injustice: Confronting Violence Against Women of Colour
Join us for a critical conversation on how women of colour and gender diverse peoples disproportionately experience violence that is often ignored, normalized, or distorted by society and the media. Featuring speakers from Battered Women’s Support Services, SALAL Sexual Violence Support Centre, and a professor from the University of British Columbia, the panel will explore how racialized gender-based violence and the hypersexualization of women of colour persist—and what it takes to create meaningful change. KEY INFO: Location:1860 East Mall, Vancouver BC Time: March 20th, 5:00-6:30 pm *Everyone is welcome to attend *Please arrive about 10-15 minutes early prior to the event start time *Snacks will be provided *Tickets are free, however, we encourage you to bring a small donation to support the victim support services of SALAL and the Battered Women Support Services.

We would love for you to join our team as a content creator! Before you apply, et we ft here is what we are looking for: Time commitment: At least 2 hours a month (At least 2 posts per month) Service Hours: You will receive 1 volunteer hour for each post you create R we Create trendy, informative, and interesting content for Let’s Talk WOC related to women in politics, self care and empowerment, education on systemic issues and social justice, and current events. Reach out to at least 4 women/accounts that Let’s Talk WOC can collaborate or interview per month Communication and Reliability: Showing up to meetings, staying on top of creating posts, and communicating with me if you have any problems. Meetings are to be scheduled on every First Sunday of the month. We can be flexible. I’m expecting you to content create for either 6-8 months to start. After that period, we can decide if this is something you’d like to continue doing.
