One man post-rock project from Turkey. Its main source of inspiration is pure alpinism. Mordwand is the nickname earned by the legendary north face of the Eiger, created by a play on the German words "Nordwand" and "Mord", hinting at the high number of fatalities among those who attempt it. The self produced EP "High Alptitude" does contain references to tragedies that took place on Mordwand. Todesbiwak is the name of the place where the team who made the first attempt on the face found dead, which became a common bivy spot later on. Ich kann nicht mehr is the last words spoken by Toni Kurz, who died during the disasterous 1936 attempt. The music is intended as a eulogy to those late climbers who constantly seek the truest form alpinism, essence of which is to be one with the mountain through strict commitment to self sufficiency no matter what the objective is.
